Third Person’s POV

The night before Astell brought Reese to his house, the two had a talk.

Astell is looking at Reese, while the lady kept her head down. They stayed like that for long minutes in the waiting room of the hospital. Until Astell spoke.

“Why can’t you look into my eyes?” he asked.

Reese’ shoulder flinched. Then she uttered, “it is because I don’t think I can face you again, mister. I am so embarrassed.”

“And why are you embarrassed?”

“Because your daughter got into an accident. Although it wasn’t me, I still feel I have to be responsible. I am so sorry. I am so sorry.”

Astell breathed sharply. At first, he was disappointed because he thought Reese poisoned his daughter but he was convinced that Reese is also the victim in this case.

Reese cried again and the old man looked at her with pity.

“Reese,” he called, raising his hand. He placed his palm onto her head and gently patted her.

The crying lady stopped sobbing.

“Why are you blaming yourself?” Astell asked

She’s in cloud9, the smile wouldn’t leave her lips. “This is so huge,” she added. If the Fabroa mansion is like state of the duke, then the Wyatt’s mansion is like of a Royal palace. Harriet’s POV After coming to my father’s house, Reese and I were invited to have a lunch together with my father. The dining room is huge and the table is exquisite. There are Candelabra above the carved oak table and polished silver cutlery that shines brightly in front of me. On my right side stood a red wine glass and a beautifully folded napkins to match the runner. Then, in my plate, there is a red lamb steak. I tent my eyes towards my father who is sitting across. “I would really like to eat breakfast with the two of you, but someone came up. Still, I am happy that I will finally have the time to spend with my two beautiful daughters.” Daughters. The word itself gave a bitter taste at the tip of my tongue. Tilting my head, I looked at the woman sitting beside me. It’s Reese. She’s smiling to my father from ear to ear. Yesterday, I got the news that father is currently fixing the family register. He is eager to finish the documents so he can officially announce me as his

Third Person’s POV Zion was so happy when he first heard that he will be working with Harriet. It gave him excitement to think of coming to work and going home together with his secretary. Although he never dream of working in Fantell, just being with Harriet will be a big comfort. “But I didn’t know that Harriet will only work with me for just few days,” Zion said to himself with chuckles. He is now driving to work without his secretary. It is pretty obvious at the time that Harriet was revealed as the daughter of Astell that she does not longer need to work under Zion. However, even if they aren’t together, Zion is still happy. First, he is happy for her because Harriet does not need to work under his family. Second, he realized his romantic feelings for her. The third reason has connection with the second. Now that Harriet went up to the ladder, Zion does not need to worry anymore if they end up together. But how about his parents? Well, Zion doesn’t care. Alone in the car,

Harriet POV “You did the right thing, Harriet! How dare she ask for your forgiveness after all the things that she did to you? Huh! Don’t forgive her!” Reese said to me.‘Coming from her?’ We are in the balcony of the mansion where there is a round table and chairs. Maids served teas and let us enjoyed the afternoon while looking at the garden outside.Reese is sitting beside me and blabbering about Sherly.Just a moment ago, Sherly and Finn came in my father’s house to meet me. The madam went on her knees just to ask for my forgiveness. Oh how hard it was for her to force herself to bow down? I am sure that sir Finn made her realize the seriousness of her crimes. Not only they lost the favors of my father, but it might affect Fantell in the future.‘What Sherly and Madell worry is how I will deal with them soon.’ They were into that beliefs that I am the same Harriet who will succumb by their traps and small sweet talks, or the fact that I have feelings for Zion.‘Just try dying f

Zion went inside the comfort room of the company. Standing in front of the sink and the mirror, he washed his hands. As he does, he recalled the report just a moment ago about his mom going to the Astell’s house and even kneeling down in front of Harriet. He burst out laughing. “I wish I was there to see it with my own eyes,” he murmured then closed the faucet. It is very quiet inside the huge and air conditioned comfort room and so, when the door suddenly opened, Zion almost jumped out of shock and held his chest. “Oh sh…!” he looked at the person who entered after slamming the door opened and saw a woman with red dress, fur coat and sunglasses. The first thing that came to his mind? ‘A crazy woman appeared.’ Next, he recognized that the blonde haired woman is no other than his little sister, Madell. Zion snorted then set his head forward, as if he does not want to waste a time seeing her face. Seeing how his brother played ignorant, Madell strode inside after slamming the do

All day, Cassius mulled over the conversation he had with Zion. From his cousin’s answer, Cassius can tell that Zion has strong faith with Harriet, and that he would take her side no matter what happen. ‘Then why did Zion believe that Harriet killed grandpa?’ Cassis has two guesses. First, Zion saw concrete evidence that pinpointed Harriet as the killer. Or second, Zion might be the killer itself. However, the second reason contradicts with what Cassius knows. “He loves Harriet,” Cassius uttered while sitting on the sofa. Even if it is true that Zion is the suspect, it is impossible for him to frame the woman he loves. Cassius shut his eyes and breathed sharply. He does not want to ever consider the second reason as one of the options. Zion won’t ever harm their grandfather or abandon the woman he loves. Speaking of Zion’s feelings, Cassius remembered what his cousin told him in the hospital. [“Older brother. Promise me one thing. Please, don’t take Harriet away from me. I ca

‘I have nothing to do with their relationship.’ Cassius said this phrase to himself multiple times. He appeared to be unconcerned, not caring about anyone just like he was in the past. Yet from time to time, he caught himself checking at the time while wondering if Harriet is still inside Zion’s condo unit; what they doing, talking and how they are spending time together alone. He felt so stupid for asking these questions all over when he keeps on saying that he’s uninterested. Soon, his patience reached its limit and he stood up. Exiting the door in fast pace, Cassius arrived in front of Zion’s condo. He raised his hand, about to press the doorbell when the hesitation came. Cassius restrained from pressing the doorbell as he pondered about the reason why he’s behaving oddly. ‘This is the second time I’ll visit someone’s house. And it will happen at the same day,’ he gauged in silence. Cassius visited Zion this morning to evaluate his Intel about the situation regarding to Harrie

He’s saying that he will aid Zion’s wounds instead?’ “Let me cure my cousin,” he added.“Why?” Zion asked with rounded eyes. “You can’t touch other people so how? Didn’t you say that you are still having hard time interacting with me?”“It’s not hard,” Cassius responded before he shoved his hand inside his inner pocket. Soon, a pair of gloves appeared. Cassius grabbed his gloves out of his pocket.“Woah,” Zion gasped, but without amusement. Rather, he was thunderstruck with jaw dropping mouth. “I can’t believe you are always bringing gloves with you. Dude, that was weird.”Disregarding Zion’s comment, Cassius said, “I’ll continue aiding your wound. Come here.”“No!” Zion declined. “Harriet should…!”Ding dong. Ding dong. Something that Zion did not imagine would happen. He and Reese made a deal. Reese promised that she will do her best to get Harriet out of the prison, and that is by confessing Astell about Harriet’s real identity. In exchange, Zion had to marry Reese even if she’s an impostor. Zion gambled his whole life just to protect Harriet. But in the end, Harriet died. Why didn’t he hear anything about this beforehand? He realized that everyone fooled him. Reese and him weren’t allied. Instead, Reese joined hands with the people around him to keep it secret that Harriet was going to die in the prison. Cassius shoved his hand inside his pocket. He made sure that he brought the ring with him before going to Harriet’s mansion. He wanted to rent a huge place to do his proposal. But he changed his mind. If there’s one good place to do it, then it is the Wyatt’s garden. Smiling, Cassius entered the mansion. As he stepped inward, Cris, the maid, stopped when she saw him. “Sir Cassius!” she gasped. Cassius looked at the maid who called him in a surprised tone. Cris ran towards him. She was very confused. “W-Why are you here, Sir?” Cris asked. Cassius forged a cough as he shyly answered, “W-Where’s Harriet? I came here to meet her.” “Huh?” That’s weird. As far as Cris can remember, it was Cassius who texted Harriet to meet him in the Damsel park. But, here he is, looking for her. “This morning, I lost my phone. So, I was worried if Harriet was waiting for my text or call,” Cassius added. It was true that he lost his phone this morning, but he was only saying an excuse to see Harr

Harriet couldn’t sleep well that night. She rolled onto her bed, thinking how and when would Cassius propose to her. She was very excited. “You look like you’re in a good mood,” Astell noticed while eating breakfast with his daughter. Harriet smiled at him and said, “Yes. It is because I found something that I shouldn’t see. Now, I am excited.” Astell chuckled. Despite everything that happened lately, he was glad that his daughter is feeling alright. “What is your plan today?” Astell asked. “I am going to check the new project you are working on. You told me to learn more, so I am doing my best to follow your steps, father.” “Really? I don’t want to force you to take this path. If you want something to achieve, you can have it.” “No, father. Ever since I worked as Grandpa’s secretary, I knew that I love this job. Please, let me enjoy learning from your line of work.” At first, Astell doubted if Harriet would really like to continue his journey as the owner of Wyatt corporation

  • The Billionaire's Real Daughter   Chapter 205 "Unfinished"

Harriet’s POV It’s been one month since that day. I would never forget the time I saw the truth in my own eyes. That moment when Zion was begging his father to come back. [“Poor child. I did my best. But I guess you are more qualified to teach him.”] Those were the murderer's last words before disappeared. All along, we suspected Sherly, Finn, Madell or Reese. In the end, we discovered that the murderer was neither of them, but residing in one of them. It was Finn’s personality, Victor. When Cassius and I arrived in the mansion to save the Chairman, we only saw Grandpa gasping for air on the floor while holding his neck, and Zion begging his father. It was quite a sight to remember; the sight where the future changed and no one died. The Chairman was taken to the hospital. Finn either, before the police took him and interrogated. When Grandpa regained his consciousness, he told us everything, from the fact that Victor killed Diana in order to protect the police. Until now, Gran

Sorren called Finn after meeting Elona. The prosecutor was still interrogating Madell, and Reese was on the run. Yet, Sorren does not want another day regretting not knowing the truth. More than the corporation’s reputation, Sorren prioritized saving his son from the nightmare and protecting the people around him. Thus, he sat in front of Finn, with Jasmine tea settled on the center table. No one took a sip as they talked in silent arguments with their eyes. Just like in the original future. “Why did you call me? I was very busy, father. Also, it is also weird for you to look for me when I know how much you hate me.” “Why did you do that, Finn?” Sorren asked. Finn stared at his father and tilted his head. “What do you mean?” Sorren gritted his teeth as he stared at his son. “Why did you kill Diana?” Finn’s eyes widened. He lowered his head and acted, “I don’t know what you are talking about. Diana left me a long time ago. She’s not dead!” “W-What?” Then with his head ha

A week ago, Zion met with the owner of Elona boutique. Sitting across Zion, Elona smiled. She stared at the young man who resembled his parents, the handsome Finn and the gorgeous Sherly. Then, with a grin on her lips, she said, “It seemed that everyone from that family came and visited my shop. The father, the mother and the daughter. And now, It’s you. It made me feel like I am already part of the family.” Zion observed Elona’s sneer before he mimicked her expression; the kind of beam that wouldn’t reach the eyes. “To be a real part of our family, meeting my father, mother and sister isn’t enough. There is one person you should meet,” Zion responded. “Do you mean you?” “Somehow. But there’s one more person. That’s the head of the house, my Grandpa, the Chairman of Fantell group.” Elona stopped for a moment before she chuckled. “Wait a minute. Is that a threat? Did you come here to threaten your father’s mistress?” “No. Even if you are his real mistress, I wouldn’t waste my
