Sorren Fabroa has the 46% shares of the Fantell corporation, which made him the Chairman. Finn has 15%. Zion has 5% and Sherly has 2%. The remaining 32% were divided to the other shareholders of the corporation.

The Chairman already announced before that soon he will move down from the position. Since it’s not been a year since Zion joined the company, the shareholders thought that it might happen after some years. However, yesterday, the chairman sent notices to the shareholders that there will be a meeting tomorrow about the chairman’s retirement.

Everyone was shocked, especially Finn.

Waiting for the chairman to arrive, the shareholders of the corporation gathered in the meeting hall. Sherly couldn’t attend the meeting because the rumors about her scandal with Finn’s mistress haven’t subsided. Therefore, Finn attended instead of his wife.

The hall remained silent.

Everyone glanced at the two candidates who have most of the shares, and the one candidate who might receive his first

Director James glanced at the Chairman as he drove the car. Sorren is on his way back home after giving all of his shares to his son and grandsons. “Chairman, can I ask a question?” James asked. Hearing the endearment, Sorren laughed. “I don’t think you can still continue to call me like that. As you know, I am not the Chairman of the Fantell group.” James laughed, but he didn’t agree or oppose the statement. When the laughs subsided, James asked again. “Won’t you regret your decisions?” Breathing out softly, Sorren looked outside the window. The decision of giving equal shares to Zion and Cassius was influenced by someone who asked him to make this. “The two of them will fight each other just to get the position,” James added. “I am sure, Vice President Finn won’t stay still too.” Finn. Sorren’s son, Finn. Ever since a long time ago, Sorren had no plan to give the ownership to his son. But that doesn’t mean that he’s happy to let Zion and Cassius fight each other. ‘Until n

Reese was dragged in the interrogation room in the Central Investigation Department. And her crime, attempted murder. Not once, but twice. ‘No! This can’t be happening! This isn’t in my plan!’ Reese shouted inwardly while she is sitting on a chair which was bolted to the floor. Alone in the interrogation room, Reese looked around to see if there’s something that will help her know how much time have passed since she was brought here. Unfortunately, there is no clock visible. The flush metal solid door is windowless too, and she cannot open it from the inside. On her right side, she could see her reflection through the one-way glass. Even if she couldn’t see the cameras and the audios inside, she knows she was being watched and listened. Knowing that, Reese shouted, “I am innocent! I never tried to kill someone! Please! Let me out!” Her words echoed inside the room. But no one replied her pleas. Tears build up on her eyes. With handcuffs, she cried so hard. Reese looked so pat

Harriet’s POV “Tell me who killed Sorren?” Reese never winked but kept up that fixed stare on me. Though she leaves her words unspoken, her faze is doing plenty of yelling. I packed my gaze with the truth, to tell her that she has no way out in this trap. I wanted to sear this moment into her brain, so that later, she'd understand that the only choice that was left is to give in. To surrender. To stop. Slowly, Reese’s face gave it away, and the terror clawed at her expression. “You will get me out of here if I tell you the truth?” she asked with a wavering voice. ‘She seems like she’s about to give up.’ Someone told me that if you are interrogating the person, then the best technique is the Reid. It is a coercive tactic that is used often to get a confession out of a suspect. First, make her isolated so they will panic. Reese panicked when she realized that no one would be able to help her anymore and when she saw the CCTV footage in my phone. It overloaded her with th

“What?! Reese is in j-jail?!” Sherly gasped when she heard from the maid, Cris, about what happened to his accomplice that she sent in the Wyatt mansion. With soggy eyes, Cris nodded her head. She only heard this from her close friend, Marie, who was the victim of the incident. When Cris heard that it was Reese who pushed Marie on the stairway, which might take Marie’s life, she was so damn mad. She realized that Marie was right all along when she said that Reese only pretends to be kind. But when Sherly heard this, she never felt worried for Marie. The first thing that came into her mind is that Reese might tell everything to the police. “Alright. Go now,” Sherly said to Cris as she asked her to get out of her room. Cris left. Now alone, Sherly stood and walked around her room with anxiety. “What if Reese tells the police about the poison incident at the party?” Sherly asked herself. If Reese was found guilty, then there’s a possibility that she would surrender all information

24 hours ago… Inside an office, Zion told Cassius everything that he saw in his dream about the future. Zion said that his mom bought poison. And since the chairman died of poison, he concluded that Sherly was the murderer. The only problem was that Zion could not remember all the details. He only saw some that could pinpoint Sherly as the killer. Then, the chairman died, and Zion let Harriet go to jail. How Harriet died and what happened after that, Zion could not remember.“So, as of now, the killer is Sherly,” Cassius said while nodding his head. When Cassius realized how casually he called Zion’s mother as a murderer, he looked at his cousin. However, Zion does not display any sadness over the fact that it was his mother. He acted as if he’s accusing someone who wasn’t a family member.Well, Zion was never fond of his family from the beginning. He considered himself an outsider from Finn and Sherly’s blood.“Zion,” Cassius called him.Zion, who was looking at the blank space for

Harriet’s POV Ian Jack, 1.5%. Samuel Smith, 1.2%. Peter San, 1.1%. Lanora Alcott 1%. There are the four shareholders who have the highest shares among the other shareholders in the Fantell group. Among them, one was a corrupt director who used stolen funds for his own benefits. It was Finn who caught him, and in the end, Finn received that person’s shares. So, before Finn caught the thief in the Fantell group, I had to deal with him and get his shares. “It was Ian Jack,” I said to Cassius. Late at night, Cassius and I are here inside his condominium. We are talking about our plans on how I’ll get shares in the Fantell. In front of us, there is a white board where Cassius wrote down the information we have as of now. The main suspect is Sherly. Second, Finn. Reese was on jail, and she has two days to decide whether she’ll tell me the truth or not. Then, we have four acquaintances, Sorren (the victim), Elona, my father Astell and last… My eyes shook a bit when I saw Zion’s na

Until the idea was processed and rooted in her heart. They said an apple came from its tree. But sometimes, it is not only based on genes, but how the surroundings affect someone’s mind. In Madell’s case, it will be hard to show her what’s right and what’s wrong, especially when she’s a slave of n*rcotics.Slowly, Madell shoved her hand inside her pocket. She got the poison that she took from her mother’s room.Reese said that if Madell opened the drawer in Sherly’s room, then she would see a poison in a bottle. It’s a lethal poison that can kill a person without showing symptoms. It has no smell, no taste, and no color.[‘I will use that to kill Harriet,’] Reese said to Madell.Madell had no idea how Reese knows

Let’s say it wasn’t really you. It’s me, the person who always saved you.’ “Just who are you? Get out of my head!”As Finn shouted loudly inside his car, the voice inside his head stopped. Catching his breath, he looked around. He didn’t notice that he already arrived in front of Elona’s condominium building.“T-That’s right. Maybe, I am just stressed,” Finn said with bullets of

I guessed my legs were still moving, but I couldn’t feel my toes anymore. The water snugged in around me.My limbs were willing to win this fight. But soon, they decided to rest.I took a deep breath as the water closed in around me.‘I’ll never see my father again.’‘And Cassius, he will cry if I die, right?’The light filtering down through the water mocked me. A slight pressure pushed on my chest from the inside. My clothes swirled uselessly around me, weighing down even further. A ringing filled my ears, but otherwise it’s quiet. My lungs burnt. I clamped my shut trying to kick my legs. The urge to breathe is unbearable. My chest was going to explode.‘No.No…I don’t want to die again.I didn’t come back to be in this state again. Please…’As I prayed so hard, I watche

Cassius shoved his hand inside his pocket. He made sure that he brought the ring with him before going to Harriet’s mansion. He wanted to rent a huge place to do his proposal. But he changed his mind. If there’s one good place to do it, then it is the Wyatt’s garden. Smiling, Cassius entered the mansion. As he stepped inward, Cris, the maid, stopped when she saw him. “Sir Cassius!” she gasped. Cassius looked at the maid who called him in a surprised tone. Cris ran towards him. She was very confused. “W-Why are you here, Sir?” Cris asked. Cassius forged a cough as he shyly answered, “W-Where’s Harriet? I came here to meet her.” “Huh?” That’s weird. As far as Cris can remember, it was Cassius who texted Harriet to meet him in the Damsel park. But, here he is, looking for her. “This morning, I lost my phone. So, I was worried if Harriet was waiting for my text or call,” Cassius added. It was true that he lost his phone this morning, but he was only saying an excuse to see Harr

Harriet couldn’t sleep well that night. She rolled onto her bed, thinking how and when would Cassius propose to her. She was very excited. “You look like you’re in a good mood,” Astell noticed while eating breakfast with his daughter. Harriet smiled at him and said, “Yes. It is because I found something that I shouldn’t see. Now, I am excited.” Astell chuckled. Despite everything that happened lately, he was glad that his daughter is feeling alright. “What is your plan today?” Astell asked. “I am going to check the new project you are working on. You told me to learn more, so I am doing my best to follow your steps, father.” “Really? I don’t want to force you to take this path. If you want something to achieve, you can have it.” “No, father. Ever since I worked as Grandpa’s secretary, I knew that I love this job. Please, let me enjoy learning from your line of work.” At first, Astell doubted if Harriet would really like to continue his journey as the owner of Wyatt corporation

Harriet’s POV It’s been one month since that day. I would never forget the time I saw the truth in my own eyes. That moment when Zion was begging his father to come back. [“Poor child. I did my best. But I guess you are more qualified to teach him.”] Those were the murderer's last words before disappeared. All along, we suspected Sherly, Finn, Madell or Reese. In the end, we discovered that the murderer was neither of them, but residing in one of them. It was Finn’s personality, Victor. When Cassius and I arrived in the mansion to save the Chairman, we only saw Grandpa gasping for air on the floor while holding his neck, and Zion begging his father. It was quite a sight to remember; the sight where the future changed and no one died. The Chairman was taken to the hospital. Finn either, before the police took him and interrogated. When Grandpa regained his consciousness, he told us everything, from the fact that Victor killed Diana in order to protect the police. Until now, Gran

Sorren called Finn after meeting Elona. The prosecutor was still interrogating Madell, and Reese was on the run. Yet, Sorren does not want another day regretting not knowing the truth. More than the corporation’s reputation, Sorren prioritized saving his son from the nightmare and protecting the people around him. Thus, he sat in front of Finn, with Jasmine tea settled on the center table. No one took a sip as they talked in silent arguments with their eyes. Just like in the original future. “Why did you call me? I was very busy, father. Also, it is also weird for you to look for me when I know how much you hate me.” “Why did you do that, Finn?” Sorren asked. Finn stared at his father and tilted his head. “What do you mean?” Sorren gritted his teeth as he stared at his son. “Why did you kill Diana?” Finn’s eyes widened. He lowered his head and acted, “I don’t know what you are talking about. Diana left me a long time ago. She’s not dead!” “W-What?” Then with his head ha

Then, with a grin on her lips, she said, “It seemed that everyone from that family came and visited my shop. The father, the mother and the daughter. And now, It’s you. It made me feel like I am already part of the family.” Zion observed Elona’s sneer before he mimicked her expression; the kind of beam that wouldn’t reach the eyes. “To be a real part of our family, meeting my father, mother and sister isn’t enough. There is one person you should meet,” Zion responded. “Do you mean you?” “Somehow. But there’s one more person. That’s the head of the house, my Grandpa, the Chairman of Fantell group.” Elona stopped for a moment before she chuckled. “Wait a minute. Is that a threat? Did you come here to threaten your father’s mistress?” “No. Even if you are his real mistress, I wouldn’t waste my
