Chapter 73

On the drive back home, Daisy was lost in thoughts. Although disappointed and hurt, she still wished she had bridled her tongue and not spoken to Sorin's parents the way she did.

"Damn! Haven't I just ruined my chances with Sorin with what I just did!" She muttered.

"All this is because of that useless girl. I'll make sure to deal with her later when I've gotten what is rightfully mine!" She said.

"Are you talking to me, ma'am?" The driver suddenly asked when he heard her talking, and seeing as there was no one else in the car aside the both of them, he thought she was talking to him.

"Did you hear me call you?" She asked rudely.

"I'm so sorry, ma'am." He immediately apologized and she hissed.

"Maybe I shouldn't have gone there in the first place." She muttered once again, biting her fingers.

"But I needed to see him because I had to tell him about it." She said to herself as she began to remember the reason she had visited Sorin unannounced.
