I could have sworn that I didn't hear what he said clearly. I wasn't sure of what I heard.

"I'm sorry, what?" I asked, puzzled.

"Have you suddenly gone deaf?" He shouted at me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't understand what you said earlier." I responded.

"What is it you don't understand? There is nothing difficult in the statement I just made."

I wanted to say something but I decided to keep quiet, seeing that he had already covered his face with the duvet, meaning that he didn't want to talk to me anymore.
