(Vivienne)After a hot bath, I finally stepped out of the shower. The suite was beautiful. I liked everything, the vast spacious bedroom which had a rear view of the glorious pool area. The beautiful balcony opened to a vibrant sky revealing beautiful scenery. The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground. The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky.The sky was ablaze with the fire of the setting sun. I smiled as I walked up to the balcony. The setting sun cast its rays on my body, I was only wearing a white towel around my body reaching mid-thigh high and exposing my slender legs. The towel wrapped around my head didn't do much to prevent water from dripping down my body, I didn't mind as I stood there free of all thoughts. Right there and then I sank into my world and took a bottle of lotion."This is refreshing" the sun, the cool breeze, the view, and hearing people having fun below caused a smile to creep onto my face. Smearing the cold thick cream
With Victor's absence, Monica made sure no one dared to enter the mansion, especially any of Vivienne's friends. It was enough that Skylar wasn't her niece. She was devastated to think she didn't have anyone in her family. Looked at Skylar sleeping, so peacefully. Tears rained down her face without her permission..this was supposed to be the only reason for her to live. Her sister left her without a word and now she was all alone… she had no one to call her own. everything was taken from her..all she wanted was to have Skylar in her life. She was her reason to live"No one will take you away...I promise baby...you are my niece and no one else" she muttered, kissing Skylar's face. This wasn't done. Vivienne was not Skylar's mom and would never be because Skylar was Alisa's child. Monica didn't stop weeping until her eyes gave up. Tears ceased to flow. The breaking of something from outside Skylar's room caused her to snap back to reality. Monica rose from the bed and walked towards the
Victor swore he was having hallucinations. He knew he refrained from taking any alcoholic beverages. The woman he left home. The woman who betrayed his trust was right in front of him.. for a second Victor thought he was seeing things because she had become a necessity. Something he couldn't do withShe was like a drug he needed to stay sane. He didn't know he felt this way for her. The level of what was brewing had him worried. Staying away from her for all those days she was in the hospital fighting for her life pained him more than anything. He didn't like to see her hurt but here she was. Wasn't she supposed to be resting and getting treatmentHe saw she was wearing a dress which exposed her back and he didn't see any burns. That wasn't what got him worried but who she was talking to. He knew the young man seated next to her. He would be a fool not to notice how Vivie was smiling and both high givingShe didn't even glance back or anything to see him, Victor lost it as he sat ther
(Vivienne)His hand gripped the back of my neck. Was this a confrontation and Victor voicing out what he had buried in his heart for over three years. But he was wrong. I didn't have any good night's sleep knowing I left my daughterThe sleepless nights I had thinking about Skylar. what she ate. How she Co with the cold and if she had milk or anything. The nights her little body got hot from a fever"I didn't leave because...I wanted to...you left me no choice but to leave my daughter alone"I didn't want to pin this on me. It wasn't easy for him nor was it for me. I suffered too. I was Skylar's mother. The pain of leaving a child I had just given birth to wasn't easy. But did he ever stop to ask me why I did that? Did he ever not even once call me or find me to ask why I left so suddenly"You don't care about me...you only use me...you've never valued my existence" it hurt me to say this to him but he had to know how I felt in all this. As much as he had his reasons I too had many thi
Cassy was shocked when she was just about to fall asleep and someone came. Although she was hesitant to get to the door knowing it was likely some housekeeper or the neighbors unfortunately upon opening the door she was stunned to find Leo."Umm well, I thought you changed your mind" she would lie if she said she didn't think Leo changed her mind about coming. It was past the time they agreed to have dinner "I was caught up with something," Leo said with a faint smile and took off his coat. Cassy was perplexed, not sure what to do. The man came to him. Although a few minutes later she was happy he didn't leave her like this. "Okay...umm you didn't have to...I mean if something happened well.." she wanted to tell him not to come if he was caught up with something. He wasn't obliged to come if he didn't want to but Leo didn't adhere to her words rather smiled as she picked up a fork in readiness to eat dinner "I'm starving...is the little one sleeping"Leo said with a lazy yawn which
(Vivienne)Looking at myself in the mirror I was satisfied with how the simple two-piece matching red skirt and crop shirt fit me. I didn't mind showing off my toned belly since the skirt was a long one with a split. The black flats just added to the look"Just a little" I said with a smile when I added some pink lip gloss to finish the touch..I felt free to do whatever I wanted. I could have stayed in until the next day however I chose to do something more interestingTaking my small purse which I hang over my shoulder. I left my bedroom and rushed out of the suite. Since I woke up I had to ignore incoming calls from Alexis and Cassy. They probably wanted to know what had happened here"Such nosy people"I muttered in disdain upon reading all the messages asking me if I had the man in the palm of my hands. Forget that I now had a different goal. Ignore Victor like he never existed.. a man who didn't know what he wanted even when it had been three yearsI was hoping he would have gathe
(Vivienne)Everything around was beautiful. I had to say being in a new place was beneficial. Since I left the resort without having breakfast I was directed to a Cafe downtown where I had an opportunity to taste some local delicaciesMy breakfast was everything I imagined and I was certain a foodie like Alexis would have loved it here. I ordered some long, hollow noodles with more watery tomato sauce. Another favorite at the cafe was the unbelievably delicious lasagna. After having tasted the pizzas and the tortellini, I was not expecting the lasagna to be so tasty. The lasagna was packed full of hot meat, zesty cheese, and a tangy tomato sauce. It was not out of the ordinary to see Italians, and tasting the food was amazing"I wish that grumpy man would stop being so full of himself and enjoy life like me" I muttered to myself knowing Victor had issues of his own and accepting something scared him. For goodness' sake, he was 33 years ago. A full-grown man to know what he wanted unfo
(Vivienne)"Hey bro...hey Vic...I didn't know you came"Edmond surprised me when he gave a half hug to a tall man sitting with Victor then turned to Victor who seemed not to know Edmond"Bro, have I grown so much huh…"Edmond said again showing Victor his face as if expecting him to recognize him. If Edmond knew any better then he would stop embarrassing himself because Victor was so full of himself and he was busy treating him like air"I guess it's been a while since we saw Each other but I'm sure doctor Martha Lewis can explain, "Edmond said with chuckles and I saw as Victor reacted, I guess he recognized him. I was stunned that Victor didn't know Martha's little brother. It wasn't awkward but again the man proved to be so full of himself"Chill okay... Ms. Payton wants to join us for lunch?" the man with Victor said with chuckles and turned to look at me. I was a little startled by his approach especially when he said my last name. Even Victor seemed surprised by this"Umm...no no p
