Kendrick frowned and glanced sideways.

"I was wondering if you would like to purchase something else. f–for..." Rosslyn trailed off. She must have read the change in his expression, and decided not to go on explaining herself.

Women are too sensitive. Kendrick glanced ahead. He should stop ordering her to buy those kinds of things for him. The rumors hadn't cleared yet. No one should be trusted.

As they stepped inside the office, Rosslyn dropped the suitcase without making a noise.

She walked away and came back seconds later to start reporting what his schedule was for the day.

But Kendrick wasn't listening. Not when his mind was on something else. More precisely, his mind was on someone.

What was she doing at this moment?
