"Do I have one now?"

"You don't," Kendrick answered.

Sharelene released his arm and went back to holding his hand.

"I don't want you to go back on your promise to my father. The choice is no longer in my hand, it has now become a duty."

"What if the choice was still in your hand?"

Sharelene stared into his eyes and smiled. "We would still arrive here. I know what is happening and your secret is safe with me. All I want is contentment, Ken. That is what we should be seeking from each other."

The elevator opened and they stepped into the parking lot.

"Would you give me that contentment?"

They halted in front of his car.

"Whatever you ask for will be yours."

Sharelene smiled then entered the driver's seat when he pulled the door open.

"I will drive. You seem a bit out of yourself tonight."

Kendrick left the door and walked to the other side.

"The bodyguards will take my car home," she said as he sat in the driver's seat.

Kendrick nodded and c
