After getting ready for bed, Hailey buried herself inside the sheets and closed her eyes.

It didn't take long before the sounds of footsteps reached her ears. She could hear him walking toward her side of the bed, then the sound of him opening the drawer reached her ears. And he fumbled with the bag as if checking out the tablets.
