Pushing the door open, the apartment was empty without a single trace of human life. He searched through almost every room before finally finding the figure he was yearning for in the garret's flower room. She must not have known how much he missed her, how he whispered her name even in his sleep.

He walked over softly, but Avery did not realize his approach. Her back was facing him and her body was hidden in the light. Her mist-like pupils were lowered and slightly unfocused.

"What are you thinking about?" His arm was wrapped around her soft waist. Perhaps it was because he had stayed in the flower room for so long, but her body was emitting a faint lily fragrance that seeped into his heart.

After a moment of astonishment, Avery turned around to look at him. The light in her eyes gradually became clear. “Why are you back?”

Blake smiled and did not answer, but asked back, "Do you miss me?"

Avery lowered her head and did not say a word, biting her lips tightly.
