Broken Promises

In the afternoon, Audrey went out to buy fruit while Angie stayed in the sick room by herself.

A light sound came from the ward's door, followed by the soft sound of footsteps. Angie's sensitive eyebrows knitted together as she nervously asked, "Who is it?"

"Don't be afraid, Angie. It's me." A female voice sounded beside Angie, and she sat down by the bed.

"What are you doing here again?" Angie didn't look too good. She even picked up the pillow beside her and threw it in the direction of the sound. “You still dare to come? Go, I don't want to see you."

Dr. Zuri leaned to the side to avoid the pillow that was thrown at him, then helplessly said, "Angie, don't be like this, Mom was just worried about you, I just looked at you and you left."

"You still know you're my mother?" Angie laughed sarcastically, "Then have you considered this for me? Didn't Avery pull out the tube herself, why didn't you let her die? Why did you save her? If she dies, I'll have cornea!”

"Angie." Dr. Zuri sighed
