LILY'S POV

It had been two days since I left Aiden's house, and it felt happy; I guess. Well, at least, I was free from the troubles and dangers, and I was living in peace.

Although I kind of missed him, I knew that it would not take long before the feelings disappeared like a wisp of smoke.

My life was slowly coming back to the way it used to be before I met Aiden. With my roommate and friend, I had nothing to worry about, as she was always there for me, giving me the comfort I needed, and cheering me up every time I felt down.

Mira was out, and I felt bored staying at home alone. I had nowhere else to go than the hospital, at least, to know how my brother was faring.

I just wished that the number would go higher so that he would be close to getting his heart transplant. Every day felt like I was drowning in fear, as I thought about my brother's health constantly.
