LILY'S POV

I could no longer feel safe in Aiden's house. The little information I had up my sleeves was enough to make me take a bold step to free myself from the danger that was approaching.

I needed not to be told that I was just a pawn; a rag doll set in between two enemies, being dragged at both hands, having nowhere to stand.

Desperation had landed me in to this. If only I had not accepted to spend four weeks with him, maybe I would still have my freedom, and I would still be able to breathe in peace.

Seeing that Ricardo was hellbent on achieving his aim—getting me, and from the looks of things, Aiden was not ready to let go of me. Was this not putting me on dangerous ground?

I needed to leave as soon as possible. Without wasting any more seconds, I crept out of my hideout, looking left and right, as though I was trying to cross the road.
