AYANNA'S POV

I ran to the elevator. I had 2 hours to get ready. Tyler had said the event was going to start by 7pm, so I didn’t have much time.

I had an hour to look hot and sexy.

I pressed the button and got into it. I remembered Naomi telling me that her office was on the 37th floor of the building. The engineering department, so I just pressed 37 and waited till it came to a stop.

The doors opened and I stepped out.

There was a man standing right outside, who looked up at me as I exited. I gave him a smile, as I tried to look around to find my way in this maze.

Sinclair's company was d-amn big. I wasn’t going to lie. There were so many offices and sections. How was I going to find Naomi?

As I walked, my heels clicked loudly and echoed.

Most of the male workers were staring in my direction and I couldn't help but feel like a piece of meat.

They were all attracted to me.

And the females….

I guess being Travis new assistant must be a huge thing around here, b

When we got back to the apartment, I quickly took a shower and began to ransack my wardrobe. Clothes flew everywhere. Naomi sat on my bed, sipping wine from a glass as she watched me act like a mad woman. "How about this?" I asked, holding a silver gown. I showed her the dress. It was a silver strapless dress with a plunging neckline and an open back. "Is it sexy enough?” I asked. Naomi took a long look at the dress. She nodded her head. "Yes, it's sexy." She said. I threw it on the floor. “No it’s not.” I said and continued to search for another dress. "What?” she shrieked. “The dress is perfect and hot. How sexy are you trying to look tonight, Aya?”

I followed Sebastian out of the building and what I saw shocked me. There was a convoy of black cars and one car at the middle was a limousine. The cars had tinted windows so I couldn’t see anything. The limousine however, was a black stretch. It looked so beautiful and luxurious. I was speechless. "Why are there so many cars?” I asked. My eyes kept on wandering. "Well, my master is a very important man. All these cars are his. His bodyguards and security men are also in these cars." He answered. I couldn't believe it. Who the hell was this guy? He had to be rich if he had so many cars following him around. I felt a knot in my tummy and I suddenly became nervous. What if I’m not good enough for this guy? What

AYANNA'S POV What are the odds? What are the odds of lying to your new boss only to run into him at the same event? What are the chances that I would be in the arms of a client who is also his potential investor? Life is crazy. The Universe does strange things. But this…. This was the strangest most fcked up situation How did this happen? How did this turn out the way it did? Why did this happen? Why did Travis Sinclair, my new boss, the guy I found annoying, the guy who hired me and I had just started working for, have to attend the same event as my client. And my client was his new investor. It was like the Universe wanted us to see each other. Maybe it was a coincidence, or maybe not. But it was too late now. He was already staring. I had nowhere to hide. His eyes were on us. I was screwed. "I can't believe this." I muttered to myself. Henry turned to me. “Are you okay?” He asked as we walked away from the red carpet. “You look a little flushed. Like yo

I stopped speaking. An air of silence enveloped the room. "I...uhm...was...um...My mother isn’t dying. That was a lie. And the guy. I’m his escort. I came here as his escort.” I told him. Travis scoffed. He leaned against the wall and stared at him. “How much did he pay you? Tell me. Twenty thousand….Fifty thousand….Seventy thousand?” He asked. “One hundred thousand dollars.” I answered. “So you sold your integrity for one hundred thousand dollars, Ayanna?” “Integrity?” I laughed. “Did you just say I sold my integrity?” I chuckled. “You’re one to talk, Mr Sinclair. You literally forced me to work in your damn company. You threw money at me. Two million dollars if I could stay for a month. And you even threatened to fire my best friend Naomi if I refused, and now you’re talking about selling my integrity." I was pissed. Travis sighed and shook his head. "So you really love being an escort. You rather prefer going out with guys. Selling yourself like a prostitute

TRAVIS POV “You drive me crazy crazy, Ayanna” I said. “You drive me fcking crazy.” I told her. I was so close to her. I looked down at her plump, juicy lips and wondered how soft they were. Would she taste sweet? Would she moan if I kissed her? Would her mouth fall open and her eyes flutter close if I pushed my tongue in? Would she melt in my arms if I took her here, now, against the wall? I felt her b- reasts pressing against my chest. I wanted to touch them. I wanted to feel them in my hands. To knead them and lick them. The image of me taking her against the wall, her legs wrapped around my waist and her b- reasts bouncing, her hair disheveled as she cried my name, kept popping into my mind. I wanted to kiss her so bad. The energy between us was intense and electric. Her hands were on my chest and they felt so good. I wanted her. I had to have her. Right here. Right now. It was insane that a conversation…an argument could lead to this. But it did. We were so

Ayanna's POV “Mr Holt!!!” I gasped and tried to push Travis off me. I was expecting Travis to release his grip on me. I thought he was going to be shocked or embarrassed at being caught. But that didn't happen. Travis held me tightly and his hand was still inside my dress. His fingers were on the edge of my panties, and I was still pressed against him. The look in Travis eyes was not a surprised one. Instead it was a smug one. The look on his face was mischievous. His lips were curved in a smirk and his eyes were filled with mischief. He didn't look at all surprised in a way. Instead he looked proud. Proud to have been caught. Travis just let out a light chuckle, and his left hand was on my hips, holding me in place. Then he turned to Mr Holt. “You’re interrupting.” He told him. Mr Holt turned towards me. The weight of the situation was now sinking in. I was pinned against the wall by Travis. My legs were wrapped around his waist. His hands were on my body.

The two men were head-to-head. They were literally chest-to-chest. I couldn’t believe it. We’re this two mean fighting over me? I wanted to laugh. But at the same time, I found it hot. Really hot. Having two sexy guys arguing over me was a huge turn on. Travis face was filled with anger. His jaw was clenched. He was glaring at Henry Holt and the look in his eyes was scary. Travis looked intimidating. His stance was strong. He was a little bit taller than Holt, and his presence was dominating. Travis eyes were sharp and fierce. It was a warning. On the other hand, Holt was calm and cool. His posture was relaxed. He didn't seem bothered by the threatening stare from Travis. Instead, the smirk on his face grew bigger. "Because she knows what a real man is like. A real man who has money, power and status. I have all those.” Holt said. Then he turned his face to me. “How much is Travis paying you, Ayanna?” He asked. “Tell me the price and I will double it…no…triple i

Ayanna's POV I was mad. Angry. Furious. I wanted to yell so hard and loud. The sound of my heel smacking on the ground echoed. The air was cold as I left the venue of the gala. “Miss Ayanna” I heard someone call my name as I tried to stop a taxi. It was Sebastian, Holt's chauffeur. He was running towards me. “Miss Ayanna.” He said my name again when he caught up to me. I just sighed in frustration. “Hi Sebastian.” I forced a smile. “Why are you leaving in a taxi?” He asked. “Where’s Mr Holt? Aren’t you two going home together? Shall I call the valet to bring the car out from the garage? So I can take you both home.” He questioned. Then he turned around, searching for Holt. He looked at me. I shook my head. Sebastian turned his back and looked again. I saw his shoulders slumped in confusion. I didn’t have the strength to explain anything to him. “I’m not going back with Mr Holt. In fact, I want nothing to do with him. So Bye.” I said and got into the taxi t

Ayanna Pov The drive home from the hospital was quiet, but the air buzzed with excitement. I sat in the backseat with our newborn daughter cradled in my arms, her tiny face relaxed in sleep. Travis drove with careful precision, glancing at us through the rearview mirror every few minutes, as though to reassure himself that we were both safe. Allison, seated beside me, exhaled deeply, her exhaustion evident. Despite everything, there was a small, satisfied smile on her lips. She had given us the greatest gift of our lives, and no words would ever be enough to express our gratitude. As we pulled into the driveway, Travis turned off the engine and faced us. “ we are home” I looked down at our baby, my heart swelling with love. “welcome home baby.” Travis got out first, opening my door before reaching for the baby carrier. He handled it with such gentleness, as if he were holding something impossibly fragile. Allison followed closely behind as we made our way inside. The mom

Ayanna POV After a few weeks, Jenny informed us about her wedding, and everyone was especially happy for her. It was a joyous moment, and we all looked forward to celebrating with her. Although Jenny insisted I help with the wedding preparations, she was clear about one thing—she didn’t want anything extravagant. She preferred a simple yet elegant ceremony. The wedding was set to take place in the garden of the main family mansion at dusk, with the reception held in the same venue. Unlike most brides who invite hundreds of guests, Jenny kept her wedding intimate. She invited only close friends and family—people she knew genuinely cared about her happiness. It was a small but meaningful celebration, and we all admired her for choosing what truly mattered over societal expectations. Finally, after all the preparations, the wedding day arrived. Jenny looked breathtaking in her wedding dress, the happiest I had ever seen her. The ceremony was beautiful, filled with heartfelt vows a

Author's POV At the clinic, Timothy was still waiting for the result of the exam he had done. Even though the doctor hadn't seen anything serious, being who he was, he preferred to be cautious and have the test done even though they weren't really necessary. When the doctor came to give him the test results, they were surprised to see Travis arrive in a hurry with Ayanna in his arms. The doctor immediately requested a mark and shouted for the operating room to be prepared, pushing the stretcher towards the surgical center. The detective followed, explaining the situation and what had happened, as well as Ayanna's pulse during the journey. along with some other useful information for the doctor. When they reached a certain point, the doctor did not allow them to continue. While the nurses continued pushing the stretcher, the doctor tried to reassure Travis, " Sir, you cannot go any further but I promise to do everything in my power and the possible to save her." Ayanna Pov I woke up early and made a simple breakfast. Just as I was setting the table, Alison walked into the room. “You’re up early,” I said, glancing at her. She gave a small nod. “Figured I should leave as soon as possible.” I placed a plate in front of her. “Eat something before you go.” She hesitated for a moment, then sat down and started eating. After a few bites, she looked up. “I’ll go straight to Travis, like I promised. But I can’t tell him where this place is. I’ve already betrayed Henry once by going against his plan. I won’t do anything that might put him in more danger.” I studied her for a moment and nodded. “I understand.” And I did. But deep down, I knew it wouldn’t be long before Travis and the cops came looking for me. My necklace had a tracker, and I had no doubt they were already on their way. Alison sighed and pushed her plate away. “Well, I should get going.” I stood up as she did. “Be careful.” “You too, Ayanna.” With that, she left, and I

Ayanna Pov A memory clicked in my mind. "Wait… you’re Travis Sinclair—the adopted son of Mr. Sinclair?" Henry’s lips curled into a sinister smile. He clapped mockingly. "Wow. Good guess." So that was why Henry was angry at Travis. "But he didn't leave you in the fire on purpose. He also lost consciousness, and his face got burnt. It's not as if he was in a position to help you and refused," I tried to defend my husband. "You're so fast, Ayanna. Why don’t you hold on and let me finish my story?" "I'm sorry. Go ahead," I said, not wanting to make him angrier than he already seemed. "Thank you!" Henry said before continuing. "While I lay there unconscious for some time, I eventually woke up—still dizzy—and saw that the intensity of the fire had increased. I tried to reach out to Travis, but the fire had created a barrier between us. I couldn't get to him, so I just lay there, struggling. "Not long after, the firefighters arrived and tried to control the damage. But I w

At a certain point that night, I left the room and found Henry lying on the couch still shirtless. On a side table next to the couch, there were several lit candles. Ayanna Pov Luckily, the phone wasn’t broken. Travis picked it up and read the message. His expression darkened with fury. He immediately showed the content to the detective, who turned to me. “What were you not supposed to tell Travis?” I repeated what I had said earlier. The detectives instructed me to send a text confirming that I had only informed him about Timothy and had said nothing about the divorce. I did as they asked. Moments later, a reply came in: Henry: I know there are cops in your house. Do you think I’m stupid? The detective urged me to stick to my original statement. I obeyed, sending another message: Me: I only told him about Timothy, nothing about your request. Henry: Are you sure? Me: Yes, I’m sure. Henry: Alright. I want you to leave the house and come to West Road Junction. Someone will pick you up and bring you to me. And remember—use a taxi. To avoid suspicion, the detective installed a tracker inside my necklace. I changed into a turtlenec

Ayanna Pov It had been three months since Henry stopped contacting me, and I decided it was time to tell Travis everything. I was nervous because I knew he would be angry. But I couldn't stay silent any longer—at this point, I had no idea what Timothy was going through. Travis was still asleep. I hesitated, unsure if I should wake him up or wait. Fortunately, he stirred and gradually sat up. "Aya, why are you still awake at this time of the night?" he asked. "Uhm... I'm just thinking." "About what? Is something wrong?" Travis asked, his voice laced with concern. I hesitated before mustering the courage to speak. "Do you remember the day I went out and told you I wanted a change of scenery?" "Yes, I remember. You didn’t take any bodyguards with you." "Well... I, um... I went to meet Henry." "What?! Why?" "He texted me and threatened to hurt Irene and Allison if I didn’t show up. I had no choice." Travis just stared at me in silence. "I didn’t know how he foun

Travis's POV I had no idea why Irene didn’t like Allison. The girl was harmless, maybe a little reserved, but there was nothing about her that should’ve made Irene act so cold. Still, I knew my daughter well—she wasn’t the type to dislike someone for no reason. I sighed, rubbing my temples as Ayanna tried to reassure Irene. “Irene, with time, you’ll get to like her, okay?” I said, keeping my voice calm. “Just come now. Let’s go eat, then you can shower and sleep. Deal?” She hesitated for a moment before finally nodding. “Yes, Daddy.” At least that was settled—for now. During dinner, I kept an eye on Allison, who was lingering by the table, unsure of where to sit. Ayanna invited her to sit beside her, but the moment Allison spoke, addressing Ayanna so casually, something in me snapped. “Why are you calling my wife by her name?” I asked, my gaze locking onto her. “Shouldn’t it be Mrs. Sinclair to you?” I knew my tone was sharp, but I didn’t care.
