Chapter fifty-three

The next morning after waking up because of Trina's nightmare, I was tired. she had woken up again after the first nightmare. We never really thought about it, Max and I but what if the fact that she almost got lost is causing these nightmares.

She had never had nightmares before, even after the situation. Maybe this was a delayed response to what happened. “Is she still asleep?" Max asked, as he came out of the bathroom in our room.

He had woken up earlier, as he was not able to sleep well either. There was concern on his face, as he drew closer to the bed to sit on it staring at Trina.

She was sleeping soundly. Her soft breathing filled the room. “Yes she is. I'm worried, Max. Do you think it's just a delayed reaction to what happened a while ago? Her sleep has never been disrupted like this before.”
