As the days passed, Rowan continued to commute in James's car for the convenience it offered. The distance to the clinic was quite far, and taking his car was the simplest and most efficient way to get there and back.

Surprisingly, the people at the clinic didn't react as strongly to their interactions as Rowan had imagined. Perhaps because James was the boss, most people were hesitant to gossip openly. Though she occasionally noticed teasing glances, it wasn't as uncomfortable as she had feared.

Rowan's work in her new position went smoothly, and she quickly adapted to the responsibilities. James continued to join her for breakfast each morning, and after they finished their work, they often spent time together at the artificial lake, allowing Rowan to play with Bingo freely.

Throughout this time, James never seemed to express any discomfort with their close friendship. As days passed, Rowan still hadn't found the right moment to talk about the rumors circulating in the clinic.
