Being taken out of police station

David stood at the office door, his usual black suit enhancing his broad shoulders and elongating his legs. His impeccable attire made him stand out like a dazzling star amidst the police station's simple decor. His deep, penetrating gaze scanned the room until it landed on Rowan's face.

In a composed tone, he inquired, "What are you waiting for? Why haven't you left yet?"

Rowan hesitated for a moment, biting her lip and remaining silent.

A faint frown crossed David's face, and an unsettling silence filled the room, both inside and out.
