As Eumerriah walked slowly towards the mansion, she held the back of her neck, feeling the tension from the night's events. Jayson was assisting Shaira, who was just a few steps ahead of her. None of them had gotten drunk; they were all too alert from the chaos that had ensued earlier. Jayson had had a drink in Gabrielle's mini hideout, but there had been no conversation between the two men. They had decided to leave as it was already midnight.

"Kaloka, we didn't even get to enjoy ourselves properly," Shaira said as she sank into the sofa.

"Hoy! What were you doing there anyway? Where are the kids?" she added, questioning Jayson, who was getting some water from the kitchen.

"I put them to sleep when we got here. We had dinner out since you both said you wouldn't be cooking," Jayson replied, walking over to them and handing them each a glass of water. "Have a drink first. Why didn’t you just ask me if you wanted a chill drinking session?"
