Chapter 0010 Confrontation

**Eumerriah's Point of View**

I woke up with a headache. It felt like I had been sleeping for a very long time. I was about to get up when I realized I wasn’t in my own room. I was in a room with white surroundings and some apparatuses. I tried to lift my hand but felt it being held by someone, so I looked over. I felt a surge of joy when I saw his face.

“J-Jerome?” I whispered, touching his face with my left hand, even though I could barely reach. Despite everything I had learned, my feelings for him wouldn’t change that easily.

I felt him move, so I pretended to be asleep. I heard the chair move, indicating he had stood up, and his grip on my hand loosened. He yawned before I heard water being poured into a glass, so I couldn’t help but open my eyes and sit up. “I’m thirsty too,” I said.

“Oh? It’s good that you’re awake now. How are you feeling?” I saw Gabrielle’s face. My head spun as I looked around for Jerome. Where was Jerome? He was with me just a moment ago.

“Where’s Jerome?”
