I watched as Martin and his men took the room apart, looking for clues about Carina. The look on their faces didn't seem to bring any assurance to me.

Madeline is doing her best in talking with the police but their presence here just seems to irritate me, especially the presence of the detective who once accused me of being behind the invasion into my company.

“I held Carina's coffee cup, she probably left her room to get more coffee to continue her work. Is that what happened? Did I place her in danger?

My phone began to ring and I put it off and the sight of the caller's name. It was Andre, I'm sure he is just calling to tell me his progress but I don't want to break down on the call and have him lose focus.

“Andre right?” I heard Madeline's voice beside me.

“Yeah, I don't want to get him distracted,” I said to her.

“I understand,” she said, looking at the police.

“Let me guess they think I had something to do with it,” I said to her and she scoffed.
