No one would ever sit by her and pat her on the head and tell her all the nice things Loretta was telling her, even when she knew she was angry. Angry at almost everyone, angry at the fact that she had to leave her old life with just Kevin in it, and somehow, she had to find another Kevin in this new life with her dad.
She hated how cruel the world was, that it wouldn't let her have Loretta as a mom, or at least give her a mom that cared about her.
You don't get everything you want. Someone's going to get it before you even think of it, and that was exactly the case with her and Loretta now.
