Chapter Twenty Seven

He sighed when Kathie was out of sight. He shook his head in disbelief, wondering what sort of life he had been living for the past few days over here.

Back home, nobody dared to mess with Kelvin or talk to him in a disrespectful manner. They could hardly even look into his eyes but it was not the same here. Almost everyone had zero respect for him and treated him like s****t. He could not believe he was facing all of these humiliations because of Samantha. Sighing, he tucked his hands in his pocket, then proceeded to her office.

Kathie was discussing something with Samantha but she stopped when he entered the office.

“I will see you later.” She picked up a file from Samantha’s table and proceeded towards the exit, giving Kelvin a stern look as she made her way out.

“You want to see me?!” He smirked, taking steps towards her desk area.

“Sit!” She gestured to the visitor’s chair opposite her.

Kelvin obeyed, comfortably taking his seat.

“You sent Bessie to harass me, didn’t you?”

“I see.
