Katarina

I met Kylan in the living room. His eyes were glued to the screen before him, but I could tell that he wasn't paying attention to a single thing that was happening before him.

He seemed confused, lost, and his eyes were heavy with guilt. I felt sad just watching him sit down with such a helpless demeanor. However, I knew better than to fall for his tricks. He was clearly a master of deceit, and I would be a fool to believe anything coming from him.

"Lisa—" Kylan paused as though he had choked on his own breath. "Katarina, you're up?!" He corrected himself before rising from his seat ecstatically. It was clear he had been waiting for me since the second I told him that I needed rest.

And from the look of things, he hadn't gotten any rest himself. There were heavy bags under his eyes, and if I didn't know better, I would have concluded that Kylan had cried.

It didn't matter, even if he did cry, it probably wasn't for me. It was probably because he had just lost his sister
