MY ALLERGY

Lana pov.

It was lunchtime, yet my meal had not arrived. My eyes felt heavy and unfocused, while my stomach growled ominously, reminiscent of a brewing storm. Glancing at the clock once more, I let out a loud exclamation, my mouth opening in a yawn, overwhelmed by stress and fatigue.

"Mr. Jan," I called out in a composed manner, though I soon felt a wave of anxiety wash over me, accompanied by a sharp pain in my chest likely caused by my delayed meal. I quickly grabbed the phone, my fingers moving frantically over the buttons.

At that moment, a knock echoed through the door. I looked up and smiled, thinking it might be him, and softly tapped the table in anticipation.

"Sir, here’s the file," he said as he entered.

"Thank you," I replied.

I let out a sigh, overhearing a brief conversation at the doorstep.

Frustration bubbled within me, and I clenched my teeth, dialing his number once more.

"Mr. Jan? Are you there?" I called urgently, my voice tinged with impatience.
