A SLEEPOVER

Lana pov

“It's absurd for you to perceive me as friendly! I'm a true witch!” I exclaimed, bouncing on my bed, my heart racing with exhilaration as I focused on my call with Caroline. Yes, aside from business calls, Caroline's calls are my priority.

"Lana, are you there?" she inquired, her voice low and urgent, fading to the point where I could barely hear her.

"Caroline?" I called out calmly, gradually ceasing my jumping as the doorbell rang repeatedly, capturing my attention. The intriguing part was that I had heard the doorbell ringing while on the call with Caroline, echoing on my end as well.

Could she have come over without informing me? I glanced at the wall clock. It was past 6 in the evening; perhaps it was the delivery person, I thought, adjusting my silky nightwear.

I let out a sigh.

Rubbing the fatigue from my eyes, I yawned loudly, struggling to find my slippers beside my bed cabinet.

My phone vibrated against my arm, and I smiled upon seeing it was Carolin
