CHAPTER 60

Elisa's POV

I resumed work the very next week, just as I had promised, and despite knowing fully well that Russell had his reservations concerning the issue, I knew it was the right thing to do. I also knew that if he would look past his fears and worries, he would see that keeping me locked up at home would do me more harm than good.

Don't get me wrong, I was Bella nervous leaving my little girl with a total stranger, but the nanny had been vetted, and I knew she was no threat. Besides, Sasha, my sister was still around and that was enough to let me rest easy.

Leaving baby Emily in Sasha's charge would be detrimental, but that didn't mean she couldn't still offer a helping hand when it was necessary and also keep a watchful eye on the nanny.
