On Wednesday, Alessa packed her clothes for a few days and decided to use the week of Madison’s absences to spend at the penthouses. Kyle, who was busier than she expected, left early and came back late, but Alessa made sure to wake up, so they could spend as much time together as possible. She even tried to surprise him for lunch the next day but she found out Kyle had in fact rescheduled his dinner with Aspen to lunch then. She decided to quietly bow out of Camelot, but that night she didn’t wake up to talk to him. On Friday, Kyle declared he was taking a day off.“You shouldn’t work either.” “I can not not work. I’ve never taken a day off. Not really.” Alessa said, opening up her laptop in her bed. “Plus Madison is out.”“Hold on, let me call Madison and tell her I need you. John and her have been on vacation for the past few days. They can work today.” “What are you going to tell her? Alessa and I are shacking up together and will not be working today?” Alessa laughed.“Maybe.
The next morning started for Alessa with a phone call. “Hello,” she groggily answered.“Where are you? I went down to your room and didn’t see you.” Madison’s voice rang on the other end.“Who’s calling you at 5 five in the morning?” Kyle stirred next to Alessa.“Is that a guy?” Madison gasped.“It’s the TV in the PHAT break room.” Alessa lied. Shocked at how fast she came up with a lie. She motioned Kyle to go back to bed. He shrugged but listened, and turned around to go to sleep. “Oh, I thought—never mind. Come back! I need to catch up with you! Haven’t talked to you in a week.” She said, excitedly.“Now?” “Yeah, why not? You're up already.” She chirped. “Madison, it’s five in the morning! I am going back to bed, you do the same. I’ll see you when I get back to the mansion.”“John and I got married! Come back.”“What?” Alessa snapped up, now fully up.“What happened?” Kyle said, getting up with her. She shushed him. “Okay, I’ll be right there.” She hung up, and faced Kyle not
After Kyle left his room, John went back to bed, while Madison and Alessa hung around to talk.“What’s with your sudden admiration for Kyle? Did something happen?”“I just realized he does a lot of people.”“I know. John and I shouldn’t have behaved like this. I just got very upset a few days ago. Couldn’t stop crying again and John just reacted. I know he feels bad now. I bet you he isn’t sleeping right now but worrying about Kyle.” Madison worriedly said.“I am sorry Mad. I know you're not having the easiest time. No one is.” Alessa sighed.“Yeah, okay get some proper sleep in your bed, you look like you haven’t slept in days.” Alessa hadn’t fully slept all week, but until now, she had felt very well rested. After Madison closed the door Alessa did not go back to her room but headed to Kyle’s. “You shouldn’t have said anything to them.” Kyle reprimanded after Alessa barged into his room. She didn’t listen and wrapped her arms around his neck. “But thank you for defending me.”“Funn
Alessa had no idea where to go or what to do. She ran around the airport for half an hour looking for a person called Carl. Then, as she ran to yet another air hostess to ask for Carl, she saw Kyle in the distance. She thought distress was playing with her eyes, but the Kyle look-alike kept walking toward her.“Kyle?” she called out.“You are at the wrong side of the airport. Come with me.”Alessa followed behind Kyle as they walked up a set of escalators, then down another set. Then along a long corridor until they ended outside on the tarmac where a long plane buzzed.“Oh my god!” she yelled in excitement. “This is so cool.”“Wait to look at the inside!” Kyle advised. A man, who Alessa assumed was Carl, waited at the gate. Alessa and Kyle climbed up the stairs into a world of beige. All the large seats and couches were the color of beige. There were only a few seats on each side, compared to the inch-to-inch seats on a commercial flight. Kyle guided her to a seat. Where an air host
Alessa was determined to get home as soon as possible and without the help of her potential billionaire boyfriend because after a weekend of thinking, she had come to one conclusion, she missed Kyle when he wasn't around, and that had to mean something, and he was willing to risk everything for her. So she could find the courage to talk to Madison. So the first thing she did was text Madison saying, “I have something to confess to you. It's about a boy, and it might be a big shock.” “Omg, wish I could call right now. John’s in a Camelot board meeting and I am spying on them. Get home soon, we'll talk.”Madison replied back with several laughing emojis. She booked a rental once she was done clearing the house and left before the sun’s light lit the sky. Alessa also tried not to stop unless needed to, so on her first stop, she loaded up with food and water for her seven-hour drive. The drive overall was an easy one. Thankfully the Sunday traffic was light and she only needed to stop
Apparently, forcing someone to propose also meant planning his every move. Through the days before Kyle was supposed to propose, a hired event planner had come to the mansion every single day till the deed was done. Just to lecture Kyle on the dos and don’ts.Alessa, who was now required to come to breakfast due to that being the perfect time for Madison to give her the wedding list rundown, had to sit there and listen to this woman tell Kyle to “knee only for 5 seconds, “ or “make sure to memorize your speech. This is a new video of yours that will go viral!” All of this went on while Alessa avoided Kyle’s daggers. He looked at no one else but her and she feared he was making his actual desire very visible. “Kyle. I want to start looking at venues, when do you think I am allowed?” Madison asked. “Oh I am on retainer for only 6 months, so any time after that should be good but maybe even sooner!” The planner spoke for Kyle. “Six months!” Madison cheered. “My gosh, so soon.” She co
Several camera flashes blinded Alessa as she looked at Kyle’s bloody knuckles. He was kneeling, exhausted in front of her. On the floor, next to them lay a man, his face also bloody and his eyes closed but hopefully only because he was unconscious. “Kyle Danny. Who is this woman? Where is your fiancee? Why did you hurt this man? How did you two meet?” These were just some of the questions being hurled at them, but they were not looking away from each other.“Kyle, you need to leave. This is all going to blow up. Your fiancée’s going to see all of this.” Alessa finally said, crying, thinking about the pain Kyle must be in. His hands drilling blood. “I don’t care. I don’t care about anything else right now. Answer me.” Kyle demanded but also begged at the same time. “I can’t.” No matter how much Alessa wanted to run away into the sunset with Kyle Danny, she couldn't. She wasn't enough. Their love wasn't enough!“So you're saying no to marrying me?” Kyle’s voice stern and angry.“I—”
About a year ago...“You can’t do one thing right!” The man on the video screamed. “I asked you to do one thing. Book a reservation for 11:30, how can you not get that one task completed?” He bellowed even louder. “I am sorry sir!” The lady in the video begged. “Sorry isn’t going to fix the fact that the investor I was supposed to meet left because I was half an hour late.” His voice got louder. “This video was leaked to the press a few days ago and it has already begun to negatively affect the Camelot stock. Kyle Danny has yet to make a statement on this matter. Though the press is expecting him to make an apology soon.” The man and woman were now in a smaller box on top of the phone screen and a news reporter appeared in the center. “This! This is the guy who is supposed to help PHAT News. I don’t want his bailout.” Alessa said to her best friend Madison as they sipped their coffee at a coffee shop near their New York office. Alessa clicked off her phone, turning off the yelling
