"Where are you going?" Marcus's voice brought me to a halt, and I almost facepalmed myself.

Ever since the incident and my meeting with Zayn, Marcus had been constantly watching over me, even when it wasn't necessary.

"Geez! I'm just going to the poolside. You don't have to worry about my every move. I'm fine," I said, rolling my eyes.

"I don't want to risk anything and put you in danger," he replied, standing up from the chair he was sitting in and putting on his sunglasses to accompany me.

I slacked my shoulders. "What do you think you're doing? Following me around like I'm a child," I whined.

He placed his fingers on my lips to silence me. "Just stop talking and let's head to the pool."

We walked outside and settled on a bench, enjoying the soothing sound of the water.
