Steve and James were sitting at the office after a brief meeting with the staff, apologizing for the scene at the party, both discussing the recent events that had unfolded.

"Hmm, I told you, James, I warned you from the start; I knew this whole marriage thing was going to do you no good but harm, " he said. "How do you think your dad feels about you right now? He doesn't even trust you anymore, and you know he isn't getting any younger."

James looked down, feeling a sense of shame and guilt. He knew that he had let his father down, and it was eating away at him.

"I'm so confused right now, I feel empty right now," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know how to face him, I don't know how to look at him in the face anymore, and also Bella, they are both my only concern."

Steve quickly asked, "Quick one, you said Emily's pregnancy isn't for you, right?" James nodded, feeling a sense of confusion and uncertainty.
