“Come up Valeria, pick up the call and put it on speaker” Jason had a smirk on his face.

She was not going to hesitate since he was standing next to her and would become suspicious of her if she decided to ignore the call, her heart racing. David informed her that he was going to call her and yet remained silent since She was dying to hear her voice so she cannot just object.

“Of course” Valeria quickly picks up the call as Jason listens in.

“Hello” She trembled, hoping that he would not talk, it was David. He was the one calling; he was the only calling without a caller ID.

When he wasn’t saying a word, she paused and glanced up at Jason, he was not satisfied. He was suspecting that it wasn’t Lucio calling him and it was someone else but he couldn’t confirm his suspicion since David remained silent on the other end and did not bother speaking up which only calmed my nerves and so I ended the call.
