Chapter Seventy Three

"I've done it, Dad," I informed him over the phone as I left the hospital. "I took care of it as promised."

"Are you absolutely certain?" Dad demanded. "Did they do an ultrasound?"

"Yes, sir, I was there the whole time." I replied. "It worked better than I expected; she won't be getting pregnant for any other man in the future."

"That's my boy," Dad chuckled. "That's the least she deserves for hurting you and Rosalie," He remarked. "Are you on your way home?"

"I'm going to pick up the kids from school first and then go visit Mom. They've been requesting to see her," I responded.

"It's been a year since I saw her," Dad sighed. "I'll meet you there." He said.

"Okay, see you soon," I said and hung up.

Just as I opened the door and settled behind the wheel, my phone rang with an incoming call from the office. Shutting the door and fastening my seatbelt, I placed my phone in the docking station, connected it to my car's Bluetooth system, and finally accepted the call after it rang

You didn't break your promise to your Mom, but there only so much you can do. Brandon is a spoiled brat because everyone keeps taken care of him. It's time he takes responsibility for his actions. I'm sure your Mom would agree with you too.
