131: the truth

She said she was sorry.

The words rang in Elanne's ears as she thought about it.

"So-so why did you do it?" Elanne asked her.

"Why did I do it?" Queensley repeated, staring downwards. "I needed the money and so I had to do it."

This was deeper than Elanne thought, meaning someone paid Queensley to do it. Queensley pressed her two hands together and pleaded with her desperately. "Promise me you're not going to tell anyone whatever I tell you, please."

Elanne didn't think those were the next words that would come out from her mouth. She stuttered. "I don't know what to say to you because you know of all people should know I'm doing all of this for Aria and there's no way I wouldn't tell her about this. If it weren't for Aria, the information would be useless to me."

"But I'm your friend too, or am I not?" Queensley asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I'm not sure anymore, if you knew we were friends then you weren't supposed to do this to Aria since you know how much I care about
