“Dad..” Margaux’s voice trembled as she ran inside the hospital room.

Her body almost collapsed upon seeing her father’s state and she could not believe that she would see him like that. Weak and pale.

“I’m fine. Don't worry about me. I’m not going to d!e,” Don Geronimo muttered.

She gave her father a sharp look, not liking what he had just said. Although she knew he was just joking, still, she was too worried to laugh nor even form a smile.

“Stop joking, honey. Your daughter just got back from a long flight because she’s very worried about you..” her mother stated.

“You shouldn't come back here, Margaux,” her father suddenly said.

Margaux straightened on her seat while her lips parted slightly. She stared at her father in utter disbelief as she did not expect him to say that.

Suddenly, a lot of things entered her mind and the first one she thought was her father did not want to see her.
