Chapter 267: Goal

Margaux was nursing her splitting headache when Daisy sat on the chair adjacent to her.

“Did you just wake up?” her cousin queried.

She clicked her tongue and did not answer her.

Her conversation with her mother still lingered in her head and she felt like she got more intoxicated than to sober up after eating the food she prepared. It was too intense and she was caught off guard.

“I have been waiting for you to wake up since lunch..” Daisy stated.

“Aren’t you supposed to be sleeping now?” she responded instead.

“I’m not sleepy yet. You know me. I won’t be able to sleep if there is something bothering me..” her cousin stated.

She stopped massaging her temples and slowly opened her eyes. Frowning, she looked at her cousin curiously, “What’s bothering you,” she queried.

Suddenly, she got worried, knowing that the woman was pregnant and was prone to stress which was bad for the baby.
