Chapter 196: Caught

“Don't forget our dinner date,” Daisy gave her a mischievous grin before getting inside her car.

Although their houses were just next to each other, each of their properties were so big that walking to it was like walking around the whole typical subdivisions. Thus, she had to ask her aunt earlier that morning to take her home because her cousin went out early and left her.

Shaking her head, Margaux went back inside the manor and walked straight upstairs to her bedroom.

The day had not ended but it was already long. What happened was just exhausting, especially because she was still nursing her hangover. Had it been the other day when she was completely sober and in good condition, she would have handled the situation a little better.

Scrunching her nose, she reminded herself to not go to the bar and drown herself with alcohol impulsively. The price she paid for doing that was never worth it.

Taking her phone, she called her secretary for any updates.
