Chapter 38

"What do you mean?"

"Come on. This way." She walked ahead of her until she got to a room with closed but not locked doors.

"What's in there? I hope it's not a trap to kill me or something?"

"I liked you before I even met you. I would never plan to kill you. Go inside and see for yourself. I'll be right here in case you need anything." The maid said.

Gabby, still skeptical about how awkwardly friendly the maid was insisted that she come inside with her.

"Okay ma'am. If you say so." The maid said and pushed the doors open to let Gabby in.

As soon as she stepped inside, cold air from an air conditioning welcomed her already cold skin. She shivered and rubbed along her arms with her palms while blowing air out of her lungs.

"I'm sorry. I'll turn that off." The maid said, noticing she was cold.

"Thank you." Gabby replied and took a look around.

There were balloons hanging from the ceiling.

Balloons that spelt,

"Welcome Gabriella."

Was she the one?

The room was huge and so was the bed. Her f
