Waves Of Laughter

Another girl giggled, “Guess we’ve got ourselves a new pool toy.”

Xavier’s eyes narrowed as he shot a glare at the girl who’d spoken. He then looked down at his drenched, perfectly tailored suit, frustration etched clearly on his face. The fabric clung uncomfortably to him, and he felt the chill of the water seeping through.

One of the bikini-clad girls swam closer, her eyes wide with a mix of surprise and amusement.

"Are you... okay?" she asked, biting her lip to keep from laughing. Her concern was undercut by the playful sparkle in her eyes.

Another girl added from behind, "You know, you wear wet really well." Her tone was teasing, adding to Xavier’s growing irritation.

Xavier gritted his teeth, ignoring the playful comments as he focused on getting out of the pool. "Fantastic," he muttered under his breath, clearly unimpressed by the spectacle he’d become.

Xavier’s jaw tightened. His first instinct was to snap back, but as he glanced around, he saw the boy standing at the edge of the deck, giggling uncontrollably. A wave of frustration surged through him, but before he could speak, Stephen hurried forward.

"Sir, I’m so sorry about this," Stephen said, bowing slightly, as if Xavier were royalty. "Please, let me help you out."

Xavier’s cold gaze locked onto the manager. "That boy—" he began, but Stephen cut him off with a nervous laugh.

"Yes, yes, of course, a very unfortunate accident," the manager said quickly.

"I’ll make sure to speak to the boy and his parents right away. But for now, please let us make it up to you. We’d be honored to offer you a complimentary visit to our luxury spa. Maybe a relaxing massage?"

Xavier opened his mouth to protest, but the manager continued smoothly, "You see, Mr. Xavier, we really can’t afford to offend someone of your stature. We want to make sure your stay is perfect."

The girls in the pool were still watching him, clearly entertained by the scene. One of them even tried to stifle a laugh as she floated by, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

Xavier took a deep breath, holding back the sharp retort forming on his tongue. He glanced at the manager, who was anxiously awaiting his response. The genuine concern in Stephen’s eyes made Xavier pause.

"Fine," Xavier said finally, his voice clipped. "Lead the way."

He climbed out of the pool, water streaming from his drenched suit. The chill was relentless, and every movement felt like a reminder of his unfortunate situation.

The girls on the deck couldn’t take their eyes off him as the tailored suit clung to his chiseled physique, highlighting every muscle beneath. Water droplets sparkled on his skin, accentuating the sharp lines of his face. His eyes were sharp with intensity, and his expression revealed the frustration bubbling beneath the surface.

"He’s the most dashing man on board,” one girl sighed, her eyes alight with determination. “I’m sure he’s not just a dream—he’s mine. We’ll meet soon, Mr. Wet.” Her voice was a mix of admiration and resolute excitement as if she were already planning their first encounter.

As Xavier followed Stephen towards the spa, he could still feel the weight of the onlookers’ gazes. The scene had turned into an unintended spectacle, but he was determined to regain his composure and salvage the rest of his day, no matter how many snickers he might hear.
