Chapter 22

It was the day before Chelsea had to leave for her trip to Washington and she couldn’t be more excited about it. She had clothes everywhere, trying to figure out what to pack. Would they go to dinner at a five star restaurant? Would they go to a night club Friday and Saturday? Would they get to some of the tourist locations? Would they be able to make love for the first time?

It was the latter Chelsea hoped the most. Monday, Derek hadn’t called her until nine p.m. He had a really busy day that day. He had told her all about it.

Tuesday, he had come by to take her out for a late dinner and drinks. When he had gotten her back home, it was eleven p.m. He had to be in Washington on Wednesday by nine for the first seminar for the retreat. So, unfortunately, he didn’t spend the night since he had to get up early that morning to fly to D.C. But Derek had called her that night saying he had to hear her voice before he went to sleep. Chelsea had giggled like a plum fool when he had said that,
