SEBASTIAN

I stood outside my car, my palms sweaty as I waited in front of the address Vivian had sent me.

I checked my watch again, my heart thudding in my chest. Tonight had to go perfectly. I had a plan, and I was hoping that everything would play out like I envisioned.

I tried to calm my nerves, adjusting my shirt and running a hand through my hair for what felt like the hundredth time.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the front door opened, and there she was.

Walking down the steps, she took my breath away.

My heart stuttered, caught in my throat as I stared at her. She was... stunning, more than I'd ever imagined.

The long black dress she wore clung to her curves, showcasing an hourglass shape I hadn’t fully noticed before.

The color of the dress complimented her skin so well, making her look effortlessly perfect.

Her lips….nude lipstick that perfectly matched her complexion were enough to make me forget how to breathe.

Vivian didn’t need much makeup.. she never

VIVIAN As I pulled the door open, my heart nearly stopped.Standing there, smiling at me, was Clara…my only friend from the orphanage."Clara?" I whispered, my voice shaky from disbelief.Without a second thought, I threw my arms around her, hugging her tightly. "Oh my God, how did you….how are you even here?" I asked, pulling back just enough to look at her face, still holding onto her arms. She laughed softly,"I just turned eighteen a few weeks ago, so I had to leave the orphanage. No one adopted me," she shrugged, trying to brush it off like it didn’t hurt.I squeezed her hands, unable to contain my joy at seeing her here. "But how did you find me? How did you get my address?"Clara’s smile widened. "The matron gave me Mrs. Anderson’s number. I told her I wanted to surprise you, and here I am! I even found a job close by, so... I thought I’d come to see you."Tears welled up again, but this time they were tears of happiness. "I can’t believe it, Clara. I’m so happy you're here!"

It felt like just yesterday that I held her in my arms for the first time, and now she was here, radiant and full of joy, ready to be part of my special day. This was, what, our tenth time meeting? And yet, the butterflies in my stomach still showed up every single time.I leaned back, rubbing my palms together. Tonight was the night.
