Yvonne's POV
After her talk, I decided to leave work early, so I would have time to go home and change as well as pack an overnight bag. No more walk of shame for me.When I arrived at his place, the smells coming from the kitchen were amazing. I loved that he could cook. He was exceptional at everything he did. It was a little irritating.“What did you make this time?” I asked with excitement.“Spaghetti and meatballs,” he said with a smile, wiping his hands on a towel before leaning forward and kissing me.I held up my bag. “Just in case.” I winked. He laughed. “You’ll need it. That’s a guarantee,” he said, his tone becoming serious.I nodded. “I’ll just put this in your room.”“I’ll be in the kitchen. Dinner will be done soon.”I walked into his bedroom, looking around the large space that was at least twice as big as my own room. The man liked his comfort. After putting my bag near the closet, I headed to the kitchen to find him standingKylian's POVI could see the tops of her breasts through the water. It was a fight not to go over there and take them in my hands. I couldn’t. Not yet. I needed to get the details of the wedding ironed out.“What kind of wedding do you want?” I asked her.“What do you mean what kind?” she asked.“I mean, do you want big with the dress and the wedding party and the whole nine yards? A destination wedding? You tell me what you want. I know this isn’t exactly your dream wedding, but I want to make it as special as I can. Money is no object. If you want it in a castle in Ireland, I’ll make it happen.”Her eyes widened. “A castle? The thought had never crossed my mind.” “What has crossed your mind? You’ve had to have thought about the wedding of your dreams. I want to make that come true for you.”She looked contemplative for a moment, sipping from her wineglass. I needed the wedding and most importantly, I needed the heir. I had to get her to marry me as soon as
Kylian's POVHer eyes bulged. “Are you crazy? We can’t possibly get a grand wedding planned in a month!”“I’m sure we can if we pay enough people,” I said nonchalantly. “That is your answer to everything. Pay people.”I nodded. “Money has always been a very effective motivator in my experience.”“A month,” she repeated.“Or two tops. There’s no reason to wait.”“You were serious about the sooner part,” she said with surprise.“I was. I am. Do you want a honeymoon?” I asked her, thinking I should probably take charge of that if she was going to be doing all the wedding planning.“I guess it isn’t technically necessary.”I shook my head. “I didn’t ask if it was necessary. I asked if you would like to honeymoon with me.”I could see her hesitating, like she was afraid to say she wanted to. “It’s okay. We really don’t need to. This isn’t a real wedding after all.”“You’re right, it isn’t, but I’ll schedule a honeymoon to make sure this lo
Yvonne's POVKylian was serious about the wedding happening fast. He had booked a venue and hired a wedding planner already. I guessed I thought he was only half serious about making things happen in a hurry. Boy, had I been wrong. I checked my watch and saw it was almost ten. I felt a little guilty for skipping work and taking my right-hand woman with me, but it had to be done. I had scheduled an appointment at a dress shop, after practically having to pull teeth to get the thing and there was no way I was going to risk being late.“I’m on my way,” I answered when Cynthia called. “I’m here already and there are paparazzi all over.” “What? How? Why?” I asked dumbfounded by the news.“I have no idea. The dress shop is thrilled. They are quite literally rolling out the red carpet for you. I’m drinking a mimosa,” she hissed into the phone.I laughed. “Great, they’re going to try and get me drunk so I’ll spend a ton of money.”“Your fiancé can afford it. Now, hu
Yvonne's POV“Hello?” she asked.I blinked, completely lost in my own world. “What?”“Do you want to pick the bridesmaid dress while we’re here?” she asked.I nodded. “Yes. We need to get as much done as possible. We’ll have to get something off the rack to ensure it will be ready in time.”It wasn’t long before Donna returned with a woman who had a measuring tape around her neck. She ordered me to stand still while she measured and pulled the dress.“We’d like to see some bridesmaid dresses while we’re here,” I announced.Donna’s eyes lit up. “Absolutely! What style?”Cynthia looked at me. “I like that. Is it inappropriate for my dress to be the same style?” she asked.Donna shook her head. “Not at all. It will be perfect. What color are you looking for?”I looked at Cynthia, a grimace on my face. “Uh, I don’t know. What do you think?” I asked her.She looked thoughtful. “Blue? Black? Beige?”“You’ll want to start with the weddin
Kylian's POVI wasn’t the typical groom and I knew it. The wedding was six weeks away and I wished it were tomorrow. The sooner I made her my wife, the sooner we could get started on the heir. Hell, maybe by some chance she was already pregnant. That would be perfect! I could practically feel the win in the air. I was going to beat Kieran to the finish line. I was finally going to officially inherit my family’s estate, like I should have from the very beginning.I was dreading the evening, but knew it had to be done. I had to get the family thing over with. I wanted my mom to be a part of everything and didn’t even mind my other brothers, but I knew Kieran would be at dinner tonight. Seeing Kieran and Yvonne together was not something I was looking forward to. I would keep my eye on things. The first sign of any funny business and I was going to lose my shit. I would not give Kieran a second chance to ruin what I was trying to do.I waited in the car in front of Yvonne’s flagship stor
Kylian's POVShe shrugged. “I’m not used to big family gatherings.”I nodded, reading the expression on her face and wondered if she was lying. I glanced over at Kieran and caught him watching us. I narrowed my gaze at him, silently telling him to back off. I felt like I was sitting and eating dinner with the enemy. Yvonne was trying like hell to pretend Kieran wasn’t there, which was odd. If they were friends, why wouldn’t she at least acknowledge him. It made me think they were trying to hide something. She thought she was fooling me by not talking to him at all.Midway through dinner, I heard a vibrating noise and realized it was coming from Yvonne’s purse under the table.“You didn’t silence your phone?” I hissed.“Sorry, I forgot it was on,” she said, her face turning red as all conversation stopped. She reached for her purse, pulled out the phone, and looked at the screen.“What is it?” I asked.“I have to take this,” she said, excusing herself and leaving the room. My eyes imme
Yvonne's POVNow that the day had arrived, I was feeling the nerves. I was getting married to the handsomest man in the world. It wasn’t exactly the fairy tale little girls dreamed of, but it was my fairy tale. It wasn’t perfect. I wouldn’t want it to be. I liked the idea of having to work to make something great. Our relationship had started off on the wrong foot, but it had evolved into where we are today.I looked up at the high ceiling of the rented bedroom I was sleeping in. Kylian had rented the mansion, where the wedding would be held, for me and Cynthia to stay in the night before the wedding. The rehearsal dinner had been held in the formal dining room of the place last night. Everything had been so lovely. His family had welcomed me with open arms, something I hadn’t truly been expecting.I rolled over and grabbed my phone from the nightstand, pushing the button to turn on the screen and saw a text message from Kylian.Happy wedding day.I smiled as I read it. It was simple
Kylian's POVIt was hard to believe the day had finally arrived. I had played my cards correctly and got Yvonne right where I needed her to be—prepping to be my wife. It had been dicey there for a week or two when I wasn’t sure I could repair the damage, but now here we were. We were going to be married in front of two hundred people and get me one step closer to having what I wanted.I loved the idea of the marriage essentially tying her to me. She wouldn’t be able to run to Kieran. If she did, it wouldn’t matter. She could have the younger, lesser brother who wouldn’t hold the family inheritance. The car dropped me and my best man, Desmond, off at the entrance to the east wing. Yvonne had the rooms on the opposite end of the monstrous mansion. I had opted to stay home last night, not trusting myself to be in the same house as her. I was horny as hell and this little agreement not to have sex until the wedding was making me crazy. That little paranoid part of me kept telling me her s
