Kylian's POV
I kept thinking I should call Yvonne about this or that as I combed through her company’s financials and projections. I had a lot of questions and no one else knew the business like her. How could anyone else compare to Yvonne? It was her baby and no one else could possibly understand the drive behind making it successful. I sighed, wondering if I had made a mistake. I hadn’t been able to get the image of her walking out of the club out of my mind. I was a dick. I knew that. I wasn’t entirely convinced her tears weren’t contrived, but there was a little niggle of doubt that wouldn’t let up.I had debated calling Kieran and asking him for his version of events but didn’t want to appear weak. I wanted to know if his story would match Yvonne’s. I wanted to ask him directly why he went behind my back to have lunch with my fiancée. It was scandalous and deceitful. There was no way it was an innocent meeting. He was up to something. The guy had me right wherKylian's POV“They are friends! They met in college and got along great! Your brother isn’t interested in her beyond catching up. If she’s supposed to be a part of the family, wouldn’t it be wise to have them actually like each other?” she snapped. In my mind I wanted to say no but knew that was the wrong answer. “She’s my fiancée, soon to be my wife, and hopefully the mother of my child one day. I don’t care if she and Kieran get along. It isn’t like he and I spend a lot of time together.”“Well maybe that should change. You’ve got a chip on your shoulder and I’m about tired of it. You two need to work out whatever is between you. I don’t like having my sons fighting each other. Your brother did nothing wrong,” she scolded.I sighed. “Mom, you didn’t see them together,” I said, feeling a bit like I was whining.“I don’t have to. I think you need to think twice about turning this into a family feud,” she said and ended the call.I stared at the phone in total
Yvonne's POVI was quite literally climbing the walls of my apartment. I was precariously perched on the back of my sofa, using it as a ladder as I hung a painting. I had rearranged the furniture in my living room and was now moving pictures around to go with the new design. Yesterday, I had cleaned out and rearranged my kitchen cabinets. Making breakfast this morning had been quite an adventure because I couldn’t remember where I had put everything.I had to get a job or a life, preferably both before I really lost my mind. Kylian had yet to call. I heard zero from the human resources department and had no idea what to expect. I couldn’t call him, I decided. I didn’t want him to think I was begging for my job or him. No way was I going to grovel. The scene at the club had been replaying in my head for too long.I stepped off the couch, put my hands on my hips, and shook my head. It wasn’t what I wanted. I needed change and simply moving the couch from one side of
Yvonne's POVI rolled my eyes. “So romantic,” I said sarcastically. He grinned. “I told you, this has nothing to do with romance. It’s all about business. You keep your job and I get to keep my company. We have a kid—a son—together and you get everything you want, and so do I.”“A kid? I can’t believe you expect me to pop out a kid just so it can have your name. Do you plan on being a father or just slapping your last name on the child’s birth certificate?” I growled, still trying to get my head around the idea of having a baby without any love or plans for the father to be involved in the baby’s life.“Will you take the ring?” he said, ignoring all my arguments.I stared at the diamond. I loved the ring. No matter what had happened between us, the ring did mean a little something to me. I sighed, really wishing I would have poured the glass of wine and ignored the door.“Fine,” I grumbled, surprising myself by my easy acceptance.“Fine?” he sai
Kylian's POVShe was a little prickly, but I had expected her to be much worse. Her cold response to my proposal was about what I expected. Although, I was prepared to deal with a fight should it get to that point. I sipped the wine and looked around her place. It was a lot smaller than mine, but it wasn’t bad. It was quaint and comfortable.I liked that she was willing to talk about our future together, even if it was a little on the snide side. I was having a hard time keeping my hands to myself. Those little shorts that barely covered her ass were teasing me and the tiny tank that gave me plenty of cleavage shots was making it difficult for me to focus on the arrangement.“You got what you wanted. You don’t need to stick around,” she practically snarled.I chuckled. “Are you asking me to leave?” “I’m not asking you to stay,” she shot back.I laughed at her quick comeback. “I’ve been thinking about everything that has happened the past week. I think it wou
Kylian's POV“It’s okay. Kieran and I have always had a strange relationship. I’ll admit there is a bit of a long-standing feud between us. I don’t dislike him, it’s just that I don’t trust him,” I explained.“Kylian, I know it’s a sensitive subject, but Kieran and I really were friends all those years ago. There was nothing between us. We were friends. We hung out and ate pizza and stuff like that,” she said in a soft voice.I wanted to believe her. My life would be much easier if I did. “And now?” I asked. She looked at me and smiled. “Nothing.” I nodded. “Okay.”She breathed a sigh of relief. I felt the tension almost immediately diffuse in the room. We had addressed the elephant in the room and now we could move on to more exciting topics.“So, tell me more about you. Do you like to go clubbing often?” I asked, not meaning to revisit the subject, but I wanted to know. She shook her head. “No, absolutely not. What you saw was a night out to g
Yvonne's POVI could feel his erection under my leg from where I was stretched across his lap. My body had craved his and having him close was making me crazy with need. I heard myself moan and felt like a complete fool but couldn’t stop myself. When he was like this, I didn’t care if he dominated me. I didn’t try to remind myself to fight him or try to push away. His hands were moving up my back, unfastening my bra with one hand before he leaned back and yanked my tank off before stripping off my bra. His mouth immediately went to my nipple, sucking it into his mouth while cupping it. I leaned my head back, thrusting my breasts into his face, giving him full permission to feast upon my skin.I was quivering with excitement, ready for him in every way. “Kylian,” I said his name, not knowing what I was asking, but wanting to feel his name on my lips as his mouth moved up to my neck, sucking and nibbling with gusto.“I’ve got you,” he murmured against my neck, jus
Yvonne's POV“Oh God,” I screamed out as his mouth went to my breasts again.I managed to work his arms out of the sleeves, before reaching for the hem of his undershirt, pulling away and tugging it over his head.“Ride me fast and hard,” he demanded, his arms going around my waist as I bucked and bounced on his hard cock.I was quickly spinning out of control, every roll taking me higher and higher until I found myself in a climax free fall, crying out and moaning as I held his head tight against my chest where his mouth sucked my nipple deep into his throat. He shifted beneath me, rising up and standing, my legs straddled his waist as he walked with me clinging to his body, toward the hallway.“Bed?” he said through gritted teeth.“On the right.” I gasped. He walked into my dark bedroom, finding my bed in the faint light coming through the window. My feet were lowered to the floor before he kissed me hard and deep. His hands roamed over my
Kylian's POVI opened my eyes and was a little surprised to find myself in Yvonne’s bed. I hadn’t been drunk last night, but I never stayed the night with a woman. It was too intimate. There had been a few women who stayed the night at my place, but it was always a quick goodbye in the morning. Her back was to me as she slept. I stared at her creamy white skin and thought about trailing a finger down her spine. I knew that would wake her up. I looked over at the clock and wondered if we had enough time for a quickie. I would love a little morning pick-me-up that included her riding me. I grinned, realizing that was probably not in the cards. Not this morning. My stomach rumbled, reminding me I had skipped dinner last night. So, had she. I would make her breakfast. Hopefully, she had something in her kitchen that I could throw together. I got up and walked into the living room naked as the day I was born, hoping like hell she didn’t have a housekeeper or any other staff t
