You know when they say God is good all the time? Well, God has always been good to me. I’m well aware that many people aren’t as fortunate as I am and I’m eternally grateful for my life being red roses, butterflies and brisk walks in the park.

I was an only child to my parents and I was therefore spoiled. I got every kind of toy I wanted, every kind of clothing that I wanted and I was sure to throw tantrums whenever things didn't go my way.

I was in 9th grade the first time I met Junior Smith. Everything about him was perfect. He quickly became a jock and then became the quarterback, and I captured his attention during one of his football games and he pursued me for an entire year before I finally caved and let him in. It was the best decision I've ever made. We fell in love, and fast. We dated throughout high school and were even prom queen and king and voted most likely to get married in our yearbook.

We had to end our relationship after senior year because we struggled to keep up during the first year of college. We both attended colleges too far apart from each other, so as heartbroken as I was, I moved on over him. Or tried to, but my heart was only with him.

So I didn't date during my college years because I was waiting for us to get back together. We reunited three years later and it was like falling for him all over again, I love him more now than I did back in high school.

We started out our lives together. He was beside me and encouraging me to apply for a personal assistant position and miraculously, I got the job. He got his first accounting job at the same time that I got a job and everything was falling into place.

Work was really difficult to adjust to but we both had each other at the end of the day and everything was perfect. We dated for 5 years before he popped the question and now we're getting married in a few months and I can't wait to be Mrs Smith. I've been dreaming of this ever since I was in high school and it feels like a dream now that I'm actually marrying the man of my dreams.

I smiled at that thought, pulling my car into the parking lot with great speed and then rolled up the windows, "I'm going to leave for work now," I told my car. My car is my baby and my best friend. I worked hard to be able to afford and buy my green Porsche 911 Cabriolet.   I sacrificed many months of take outs and fashionable clothing for this sexy thing.

I put on my sunglasses and my blue tooth and immediately going into work mode. I knew the second I stepped into his house, everything would be a mess especially since it's Sunday morning. I know he's probably hung over and has girls laying all over the place but he has a video conference in two hours and I need to get him ready.

I got out of my car, locking it as I strutted to his front door.

I smoothed the creases over my skirt, making sure that I was looking both ready for work and flawless as I walked up to the giant doors that led into the mansion that belonged to my boss, Lucas Elijah Miller II.

Let me tell you a bit about my boss. He's an egotistical cocky jerk who somehow gets his work done, all thanks to me. I could've gone my whole life not knowing this man but I'm stuck with him. He lives a very lavish lifestyle. He's a single, good looking gentleman with loads of money, running his father's business and owns mansions across the globe.

"Wow," I marvelled at his house as though I've never been here a million times before.  "Alright," I stood in the middle of his foyer and called for his two security guards, "escort all of these girls out and make sure they don't take anything," I said strictly as I walked through the house, feeling sorry for the housekeeper because he had yet again made such a mess of the place. I walked up the spiral staircase, heading straight into the master bedroom.

I wasn't scared about walking in on anything. Even if I walked in on him getting a blow job or having sex with some girl (I'm quite used to it), I'll tell him that the time for that is long gone and he needs to get ready for work.

I slammed his doors open and I was pleasantly surprised to find him alone in his giant bed, "good morning, Mr Miller," I said, my voice business like and monotone as I walked to his curtains and opened them.

I heard him groan and cuss, "what the fuck are you doing?" he snapped at me and I just ignored his angry mood as I opened the windows, hating the smell of sweat and alcohol.

"You have a video conference in an hour," I lied so he'd get his ass moving quickly, "you need to get ready while I set up everything in your boardroom," I told him as I started cleaning up all the minor things around the room because I knew that the housekeeper would take care of the rest.

The only reason I do this job and have kept up with Lucas for so long is because of the amazing pay. The pay afforded me a house worth $700,000 and a pretty Porsche. He pays me well because I quote "you can't be coming to work looking like a church girl, go wear some Ralph Lauren".

Yeah, I wasn't always this fashionable. I'd wear long skirts and long sleeves, no skin showing, and flats. I stayed with my parents and drove my dad's beat down beetle. After I started working for Lucas, things changed for the better. I wear some designer clothes because let's be honest, designer clothes really aren't all that. I live a comfortable life and I'll be paying for my own wedding in cash and that was worth the headache that Lucas always gave me.

"I hate you," Lucas groaned as I ripped the sheets off his body.

"You reek," I told him as I stood by his bedside, "get up and go shower," I instructed as I turned and strutted to the door, "I advise you to be done in fifteen minutes," I said this because I knew he was going to take an hour to be spiteful. I heard something thump behind me as I was walking out of his room and I knew he'd thrown a pillow at me. I rolled my eyes, man child.

~~~
Gone was the man child the next time I saw Mr Miller. He was replaced with the stone cold businessman boss persona who got straight to work.
"Alright, sir," I paused as I walked up to him and handed him his cup of tea, and started adjusting and fixing his clip on tie because neither of us could do a tie, "would you like me to brief you about the business call?" I asked him as I stepped back, satisfied, and he walked by me just grunting in response to my question as he walked to his chair in the boardroom and sat down.
"It is the Board of Directors," I informed him, placing two thick folders in front of him simply for the video conference. It will look like he was doing work, research and actually cared about the business, "they want to know about what happened with the Steenhuiser account. If you remember correctly, you lost close to $20 million due to fraudulent activities, so they'll want to know the process of investigation."
He hummed, showing me that he was listening as he started flipping through the files and then closed them before he looked at me, "tell me about upcoming events," he said, "oh yes, my father's having his birthday in two weeks, slot it in and move around my meetings so that I'm free on that day."
I nodded, way ahead of him, "I already knew that sir, that's why you're having this meeting today. I've moved up all of your meetings," I paused and then reached into my pocket before I pulled out a single rolled up invitation before placing it on the table before him, "that's for you, sir."
He looked at me before he unrolled the scroll like invite and I saw him furrow his eyebrows, "what is this?" he asked me after he'd read the invite and I smiled.
"It's an invitation to my wedding, sir," I told him.
I saw his surprised expression, "you're engaged?" he asked, placing his cup of tea on the saucer and looking at me.
I hesitantly nodded, "yes sir," I held up my hand showing him my finger with the ring on it, "for two weeks now."
"You've been engaged for two weeks?" he asked slowly like he couldn't wrap his head around the news.
"Yes, I have been engaged for two weeks, sir. Anyways, my wedding's in 4 months. I gave you an invite in advance because I know you're always really busy and I'd like for you to be there for my big day."
He didn't answer me but I think he zoned out because he looked away from me and just stared at the page before him.
"Sir," I called softly, "you don't have to attend if you don't want to," I told him but he still didn't answer.
"Sir..."
He looked at me and then cleared his throat, "yes?"
"Are you ok?" I asked him as his eyes finally met mine and something in those orbs became unsettling and I felt uneasy.
I watched a dark smile come onto his handsome face, "I'm happy for you," he looked at the invite and held it up, "write me down on the guest list. I wouldn't miss it for the world."
Something about that was very chilling and I frowned, not sure what to say, "ok..." I tried off, a bit afraid, "that's great... "
  • The Billionaire Boss's Agenda    Epilogue
    "Oh, come on! You have to dance, Zara, it's Beyoncé!" Kelly exclaimed excitedly as she swayed with perfect rhythm to Beyoncé's Find Your Way Back and I just sat back in the seat of my private jet, smiling at her."I'm tired," I said honestly even though all that I wanted to do was join her in her dancing because this song moved my body.Kelly looked amazing as she danced in the middle of the cabin, moving with the beat and her Julien McDonald designer dress that we had bought when she and I had flown to Paris for a runway show. Her hair was short and the perfect perm, her face had matured and she was no longer the insecure young lady that she was before, "oh, not even for your own Godson?" Kelly asked me as she spun around and her son having heard him being mentioned didn't even ask twice, he just jumped in to aid his mother in giving me FOMO as I watched the pair
  • The Billionaire Boss's Agenda    Chapter 51
    Like many females out there, I always pictured my wedding to be nothing short of a fairy tale; and by fairy tale I mean a horse and white carriage, the prettiest dress that money could buy, a castle-like venue with the perfect music playing as I walked down the aisle towards my prince charming.Life has a way of not working out the way that you thought and planned it would, it goes in a completely different direction from what you thought was perfect for you. But hell, it never crossed my mind that I would be wearing a pair of Elijah's sweatpants that I had tied tightly around my waist and then folded it on the waist so that it could stay on, and Elijah's plain hoodie with no bra underneath because I had moved in such a rush. My hair was still wet and in a low pony, wetting Elijah's hoodie and I could feel the slight cold on my back. I wasn't even wearing any shoes, the bottom of my feet were filthy, and my father was lying in a hospital bed, struggling to
  • The Billionaire Boss's Agenda    Chapter 50
    What would I do if I lost my father? I realized that he would leave and never come back...I don't want to lose my father. I don't want to bury him.I couldn't stop the tears that flowed from my eyes as I stared anxiously at the fast road ahead of us as Elijah drove the Ferrari 458 Spider like his life depended on it and I was glad he was trying to get me there as soon as possible. "Elijah," I called for him, my voice barely over a whisper as I gripped onto his hand with a deathly grip and held onto him because he was my lifeline. I breathed in through my nose and out my mouth to calm down as I looked at the mostly empty streets as we drove towards the hospital.I saw the large building approaching us before Elijah pulled up in front of the doors and I jumped out. I couldn't even close the door behind me as I exited the car because all that I wanted to do was to get to my father as soon as possible.I ran passed the
    "Oh, God! I can't," I panted out, trying to catch my breath as my legs lay shaking on the bed, calming down from my seventh orgasm of the night. Elijah was relentless and merciless. It had all started out sweet and loving, every gentle caress easing every worry and heartbreak I've suffered until the strokes became more forceful and he began to pound into me, letting out all of his sexual frustration.I didn't have the power to stop him as I felt him line up to my entrance yet again and I let out a low painful mewl, "haven't you had enough?" I asked him, my voice was raspy and hoarse because of all of my screaming.He leaned down and sucked on my neck, biting the sensitive skin that had been bitten close to a million times in the last few hours, "I could never have enough of you, my angel," he groaned into my ear before he suddenly thrusted into me.
    A date, that's what he said he was taking me on. We all know how extra Elijah is, so he definitely made the announcement special, well, special to me at least. I awoke to a little red not and rose petals surrounding me, informing me of our date. He had a glam team ready to prepare me for the day and I enjoyed being pampered and not having to lift a single finger.I didn't know where I was going but if it was with Elijah, I'm certain it won't be anything short of magical and fun. He brought out the best and wild in me.I thought I would find him waiting for me at the bottom of the massive staircase but he was nowhere in sight. I walked all the way to the awaiting Rolls Royce and slid into the car. When the door closed behind me, I noticed the big bouquet of different coloured and sized flowers. A smile spread on my face as I picked it up and put it to my nose, immediately
  • The Billionaire Boss's Agenda    Chapter 47
    The sun had set long ago and I quickly ran a hand over my clothing, smoothing it down as I paid the cab driver and got out of the cab. I fixed a smile onto my face as I walked up the stairs into Elijah's mansion. I smiled at the guard who opened the door for me before I stepped into the house. I was heading straight for my bedroom, my eyes zoned in on the staircase that would lead me to the upper level of the home until I was interrupted by Elijah who called out my name.I turned around and smiled widely at him, "good evening, Elijah," I sang lightly before I giggled a bit. I wasn't drunk, just feeling terrible but I wouldn't let it show to anyone else."Where were you, Zara?" he asked me, as he straightened up and opened his legs a bit. He was wearing a suit and I knew that he had just come back from work. He put his hands in his pockets as he looked at me expectantly."I was with Kelly, or did you forget that?" I
