Blaze turned the woman from her prone position and removed her cap. He wanted to confirm if she's really a woman.
And he was stunned! Captivated by her bewitching beauty, his body froze. His heart raced, gazing at the woman's crimson face and heart-shaped pinkish lips under the misty moonlight.
He was wondering who the beautiful woman was and what she was doing in the woods at that hour. Moreover, he could also smell the scent of his favorite wine on her breath.
Ayira was astounded, as well. The man's exquisite face with chiseled jaw was amazingly outstanding. His silver eyes were dull that brought chills down her spine while her heart hammered in her chest.
Their eyes locked for a moment. A pair of stony silver eyes looking down at the inquisitive sapphire blue eyes.
Then, a soft wind blew. The sheer clouds covering the sky drifted away, unveiling the beauty of the bright, winter-white moon. So, the silvery light above illuminated everything down on the ground.
The moonlight shone across Ayira's dainty face, making her sapphire blue eyes glow like diamonds.
Blaze suddenly shut his eyes as a scene that he couldn't describe abruptly flashed in his mind. It was so fast and vague. But it appeared that he was running in the woods, which he had never seen before.
'Was it part of my lost memory?' He asked himself.
'I think he's really our maste (mate), but it seems something is wrong.' Sierra mumbled, pulling Ayira from the daze.
'Is that so?' Ayira asked. Then, her forehead creased after Sierra confirmed that she truly sensed that he's their mate.
"Hey! Why did you do that? Could you help me get up?" She grumbled angrily, snapping back the man from his trance.
Blaze extended his hand and helped her get up. He was still speechless, pondering the scene that he viewed in his mind.
Ayira got up and swept the dirt off her clothes with her hands, muttering at Sierra. 'How could you tell me he's our mate? He almost broke my limbs.' She complained as she couldn't believe that her first encounter with her long-lost mate would be this awkward.
But before Sierra could answer, the man spoke.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Finally, Blaze was able to pronounce what was on his mind.
"Huh?" Ayira was surprised at the question. She swallowed dryly while thinking for a good answer that the man would not think that she's a werewolf. Fortunately, Sierra was fast to think. "I just went for a walk since the moonlight is fascinating tonight." She explained as she forced a smile.
Blaze raised his brow. "In the middle of the woods? Do you know that you nearly crossed the borderline?"
Ayira and Sierra breathed a sigh at the man's remarks. 'He thought you're also a nam (human).' Sierra murmured.
"Of course, I know. I just, I just live nearby." Ayira stammered while Sierra told her they had to leave. "If you excuse me, I need to go now. Mushtahs! (Goodbye!)" She turned and acted to leave when Sierra scolded her for blurting out their ssaglos language. She bit her lower lip, hoping that the man didn't notice. However, the man suddenly grabbed her arm, which made her heart skip a few beats.
"Wait," Blaze said, pulling back the woman.
'We're dead because of your big mouth.' Sierra berated her.
Ayira rolled her eyes at her wolf as she refuted. 'Just help me think of an excuse.'
"Are you the one who sneaked into the villa and stole two bottles of my wine?" Blaze questioned. He couldn't go wrong. He could smell the scent of the wine on the woman.
Ayira and Sierra were both appalled, realizing that the man was probably living in the villa where they took the wine. Nevertheless, it's a relief that the man didn't pay attention to what Ayira had just said.
'We'd better go.' Sierra proposed.
Right after, Ayira swayed her arm from the man's grip and dashed away. She lost in the dark, leaving the man astounded.
Blaze blinked repeatedly, taking in what just had happened. It was the first time that a woman ran away from him.
Well, from the way she dressed, he concluded she was from a group of bandits living in the woods. Thus, he was certain that she's the one who stole his wine, that's why she fled away. Nevertheless, he didn't waste his time chasing her and decided to go back to the villa.
Blaze was lying on his soft mattress, trying to get some sleep. However, the beautiful image of the woman he encountered in the woods was imprinted in his mind. Every time he would close his eyes, he could see her crimson face and bright sapphire blue eyes.
Moreover, he was also wondering what was the scene he saw in his mind earlier. He was certain that he had never been in that place. Thus, he assumed it might be a glimpse of his past.
'If it's part of my past, does it mean that I'm getting my memory back?'
It was almost dawn when Blaze managed to sleep. Even so, he still woke up early the next morning.
He got up from the bed and opened his windows to let the fresh air come into his room while looking at the beautiful scenery of the forest. After a while, he heard a deep, powerful voice call his name.
"Blaze,"
His forehead creased. He looked around, but he couldn't see anyone. The powerful voice repeated, calling his name three times. However, wherever he looked, there's no one.
"It's time to wake up, Blaze." The voice said in an authoritative tone.
"Who are you? Show yourself!" He bellowed, turning in every corner of his room.
"I wanted to, but you won't let me, Blaze." The mysterious voice responded.
Then, a dazzling light emerged out of nowhere, making his eyes shut.
As he opened his eyes, he realized that everything was just a dream. He sat down on the bed, holding his forehead as he could still hear the powerful voice in his head.
'That voice. Where did I hear that voice?' He asked, thinking that the voice seemed familiar, but he couldn't remember where he heard it.
He let out a deep sigh as he got up from the bed. His feet instinctively walked towards the window. Then he pulled the curtain back, revealing the breathtaking scenery of the woods. He didn't know, but that had become his routine in the villa since he was ten.
Blaze looked at the woods, but his mind was not there. He was in deep thought. He felt uncanny since it was the first time in his entire life that he had a dream.
'First, I had a flash of a strange scene in my head. Now, I had a peculiar dream.' He pondered.
He stayed looking blankly into the woods while contemplating when he recalled what the woman said last night.
'Of course, I know. I just, I just live nearby. If you excuse me, I need to go now. Mushtahs!'
He knitted his brows. "Wait, mushtahs?"
On Ayira's way to the borderline going back to the New Moon World. 'I'm certain that he's our maste (mate), but something is really wrong with him, Ayira.' Sierra mumbled, trying to figure out what she sensed earlier. 'How could you tell?' She queried, confused about what her wolf meant with her words. 'He's not a nam (human). He's one of us. However, I couldn't connect with his wolf.' Sierra announced. Ayira was dumbfounded. She paused for a moment, taking in Sierra's statements.
After two minutes, Ayira anxiously peeped out of her door. Then, she discreetly went out of her room when she perceived no one was there and directly walked towards the back door. She successfully got out of their house and was about to go to the woods where Aura's evadez (friends) were waiting for her. However, her heart almost jumped out from her chest when Alfredo, one of the Gammas, suddenly called her. "Hey, where are you going? Aren't you supposed to help the other omegas in the yard?" Ayira halted her steps. She swallowed a lump in her throat as she bowed
It was already late at night when Ben and Ayira arrived at the villa. They entered through the back door where the maid's quarters were located. "This is going to be your room. I'll introduce you to Sir Fernando and Sir Blaze tomorrow morning since it was late already. Take a rest." Ben explained as they stopped at a white-painted door. Ayira smiled. "Thank you, Ben." She was truly thankful. If not for their help, she's now married to Evan and became his Luna. Moreover, she got the chance to be near her mate.
Ayira's POV I wanted to introduce myself to the man and explain my side, but I thought he might not believe me. I sighed, hoping that Ben would come to clarify things to this man. Sierra told me she could connect to his wolf and informed him we were in trouble. However, I wondered why he was not getting out of his room. After some time, I opened my lips when I finally found the words to say. However, the man rushed at me, tugged my left arm, and dragged me towards the door. I could not react promptly as the man's actions startled me.
I sped up, putting on the fitted sheet, tripping between the left and right sides of the bed. However, as I was about to put on the last part of the bedding, I tumbled into the bed. 'Sierra, what are you doing?' I muttered as Sierra took control of my body. 'I'm not doing anything.' She denied it, but I knew what she did. "Aren't you done yet?" I heard Blaze ask in an irritated tone. I acted as though I was fixing the linen. "Almost done," I responded, without turning my head. 'Sierra, stop it. It's not funny!' I protested, as I still couldn't control the lower half of my body. But Sierra didn't respond. She ignored me and continued controlling my lower body. Sigh. What would I do? I peeked at Blaze and saw him walking towards the closet. I tried to get up but I couldn't.
Sir Fernando and Blaze were sitting in the wrought-iron chairs under the shadow of the maple tree in the garden. I couldn't understand, but my heart fluttered the moment I saw Blaze. I gazed at him as I walked towards them. Good thing he was not looking in my direction, as he was busy reading a newspaper. He looked serious, with his knitted brows and tightly pressed lips. 'He's beyond handsome, right Ayira?' Sierra mumbled in admiration. Well, I couldn't deny that he looked cool in his plain white shirt while strands of his hair were slightly waving in the soft wind.
I could do nothing but stamp my foot on the ground as I looked at the car speeding away from me. 'What would I do now?' I asked myself, gazing at the hundred-dollar bill in my hand. I knew I would get bored if I would only sit for two hours, especially now that I couldn't talk with Sierra. I sighed before I walked dejectedly towards the coffee shop. But before I could reach the entrance, a brilliant idea flickered in my mind. 'Why not?' I uttered with a mischievous grin on my lips as I realized that this was more fun than being with Blaze. I could do anything and I could go wherever I wanted.
Tears burned my eyes while my lips trembled. I felt so scared at that moment. 'Sierra? Sierra, I'm in trouble. I need your help.' I whispered. I had no choice. I had to wake her up. After calling her three times, she finally woke up. 'What trouble you got into again, Ayira?' She questioned, seeing the guards dragging me. 'Tell me, what should I do?' I queried after I explained what happened. 'You know w
Blaze's POV. Ayira and I agreed to visit Hina’s grave since it was her death anniversary. We also decided to take a trip to the island where Ayira stayed before to visit the townspeople there and her students. I could see in Ayira’s eyes the excitement of going back there. I would not wonder since she got really attached to the people on that island, especially to Hina. She took care of her when she was at her lowest. She fed her, offered her a place to stay, and treated her like her own family. We used my private yacht heading directly to the port near the island. While on our way, Ayira was telling Summer about her life on the island, including her experience as a teacher. Summer was listening attentively to his mom and would laugh from time to time about his mom's silly experience in teaching. It was already dark when we arrived at the hotel. We checked in immediately as we got hungry due to long travel. We had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and went back to our room to
Ayira's POV It was a brand new day. Blaze and Summer were busy playing video games. So I made myself busy in the kitchen. Then I checked the pantry and found out that we were running out of some supplies already. So I decided to go to the market. "Hi, mom. I will go to the market to buy some supplies. Do you have anything to add?" I asked when I saw her enter the kitchen. She thought for a while before she responded. "Oh, yes. I want to buy some ingredients to make a vegetable salad. But I think I'd be
It was heartbreaking to see someone you love leaving with someone else. And because of that unfortunate event in the past, I suddenly felt I had no right to fight for her. And because of that event, she chose to leave me and her son just like that. I could accept if she resented me, it's understandable. But leaving her son didn't make sense at all, since I knew very well how much she loves our son. I looked at Ayira for the last time. Suddenly, I heard Marcus whisper. 'Blaze, after everything, you will just let her leave like that?'
We slowly made Summer understand what wolves were. Ayira told him stories about how she lived in the New Moon World when she was young. And we let him understand that we should be careful not to show to anyone in the human world that we were different from them. We also explained that grandpa was a human, not like us. But Summer was really intelligent. He asked us why was grandpa was living with us if he's a human. Good thing, he later understood that he was once a friend of my grandfather before the world was divided into two. However, there was one thing I was afraid about. It was Summer's intuition that his mom would leave us. It buzzed me almost every day as I knew the reason.
Blaze's POV The following morning, I went to the library and searched for my old books. I remembered I had a book about ancient wolves before. Perhaps, I could find some information there about Summer's power. I read almost everything that day while Summer and Ayira were busy with their lessons. Right. Ayira really loved teaching so she volunteered herself to be our son's tutor. That's why as early as two years old, Summer already learned the alphabet and basic counting. I was grateful for that because
Ayira's POV As agreed by everyone, we decided to go back to the villa in the mountains. We thought that Summer would ask questions about our sudden decision to move house like he used to do every time we would go out. But surprisingly, he was just quiet throughout our journey. And due to the long travel, he slept on my lap. However, as we reached the foot of the mountain, he suddenly screamed. "No!"
It has been 4 years since Summer was born. He grew up as an energetic little boy that he took after me. He was also fond of going outside, even a simple walk by the shore that I guessed he took after from his mom. However, as he grew up, he began to show that he was different from the other children he got along with. He was more mature and stronger than the other children of the same age as him. And that was what we were worried about. How could we explain to him our true identity? That we were different from human beings? By the time he was 3 years old, his special skills began to show.
Blaze's POV Days have passed and we really got used to living here on the island with our precious one. Summer also enjoyed some morning walks and laughed when his feet touched the sand. I loved that priceless moment, hearing his giggles that were like music to my ears along with the soft laughs of his mom. However, one morning, I woke up seeing Ayira beside me but my eyes widened when I did not see Summer in his crib. “Where is Summer, Ayira?” I hurriedly asked her when I saw her open her eyes.
My first two trimesters of pregnancy were really a challenge for us. I used to puke almost everything I ate and I felt like it was such a waste so I tried sleeping every after meal just to avoid throwing up the food I had eaten. And there came a point when I could no longer get out of bed because of my morning sickness. And because my pregnancy journey wasn't easy, Blaze decided to call his mom and let her stay with us until I gave birth to our beloved baby. His grandfather also came with Aurora since he was also excited to see his great-grandchild. But the good side of my pregnancy was, I felt how mu
