Harmony POV.Oh god this is it. I’m going to lose my virginity to the man I love with all my heart. This is going to mean something more to me than what it would mean to most people.Mav is kissing me slowly once more and I’m going crazy with the need to touch him, taste him, fell him. I want him, all of him.Mav breaks the kiss and stares down at me with a small smile on his face. He moves back onto his heels before he moves off the bed and I instantly miss his body heat. I watch as he removes his cut, then his tight black long-sleeved top. His abs flex and stretch as he pulls the fabric over his head. I gulp at the sight of his bare chest. I instinctually close my legs.My clit throbs just from the sight of him. Heat pools in my belly and I know I’m wet. My breathing becomes harsh and my heart is beating so hard with anticipation as I watch him remove his boots and socks. His eyes not leaving mine as his large veiny hands reach for the belt and he removes it. I don’t think I’ve blin
Harmony POV.It has been three weeks since Mav and I slept together, and everything has been going amazingly well. Everyone was super happy for us and little Melody was made up that her daddy and I were together.Mav is so gentle and loving and it still amazes me that for such a big burly guy, he has that soft side of him, the side only Melody and I are privileged to see.Mav is currently on a club run and I am in my happy place. Books and Brews. Catching up with paperwork. I’m pretty sure Harry has been sneaky putting some of the orders for the club owned businesses in with what I have to do. I swear that big brother of mine is a lazy ass, but I don’t mind helping in any way I can.The mommy, daddy and me sessions have grown in popularity and so I have had to expand on the days for these sessions. We have another event happening this weekend to raise funds for the children’s hospital and the local women’s shelter. We donate what we can to both. The local community also helps with the
Harmony POV.All week I have been racking my brain about where I had seen that man before and it is really driving me mad. I know I’ve seen him before but still can’t pinpoint where exactly.I shake my head to rid myself of the thoughts and smile instead. Today is the day of the Candy Wonderland party to raise funding for the women’s shelter and the children’s hospital. The ole ladies and locals have really outdone themselves. The clubhouse and club grounds look magical. Giant pink and white cane canes stand on either side of the clubhouse steps. There are big lollipops in various colours and individual candies decorated all around. Some hanging from the branches of trees and in the grass on display. There are huge ice cream cones, donuts, cakes, balloons with confetti that look like sugar strands, giant gummy bears, jelly beans that are little chairs. The place would give the witch from Hansel and Gretel a serious case of envy.It looks spectacular, all in pastel colours. I nod happi
Maverick POV.I’m all partied out. Melody is on a sugar high and is running round like an overactive squirrel on a massive energy boost. I did try to limit the candy and all the goodies she was eating, but the little madam was sneaking them. Her hair, which took me an hour to do, was hanging loose. The buns long gone. She has glitter all over her and her white top isn’t white anymore. Rookie mistake on my part. But she has had fun and so have I. I have hardly seen Harmony, but I have had eyes on her. I mean, you can’t miss her with the green wig and orange face. She looked amazing. Everyone put in the effort for today and I am proud to be a part of this club.POD has set the standards for all the other clubs and even though the other clubs help in their territories, no one goes above and beyond like POD does, and I am so proud to be a member. The praise Harmony and the club have received throughout today has been overwhelming. The women from the shelter and the kids from the hospital
Harmony POV.Hearing Joel’s name brings back all the sadness. Why didn’t I see it sooner? He has changed so much since I last saw him. I’m numb to Joel and what he does for a living. But what he did to me? That will stay with me forever. I thought I locked it away. Clearly I didn’t.Yes, he drugged me, but he didn’t touch me. My family knows that, but maybe he didn’t because Harry found me before he could. I only remember parts of that night. We were at a friend’s party and he was with me to protect me. Little did I know at the time I needed protecting from him.He handed me a drink and told me he would stay by my side. So I didn’t question it when I drank the laced drink. I didn’t smell anything that struck me as odd. I was fifteen. The drink wasn’t even alcoholic.Joel knew my parents would have killed him if I arrived home drunk. So I was drinking juice. I finished the drink and danced for a while when I started feeling dizzy and sick.Next thing I know I woke up in hospital after
Harmony POV.Going back to the party, I put on a happy face, no matter the turmoil inside of me or the uneasy feeling in my stomach. Today is about the children and the survivors of domestic violence.I smile like nothing is wrong and Mav is watching me closely. He is just staring at me in disbelief that one second I’m shaking and crying, the next I’m laughing and smiling like nothing happened.“You should get into acting.” Mav says to me and I smile up at him, but I know the smile doesn’t fully reach my eyes. He knows this too. He kisses my orange face and I chuckle as he pulls back with orange face paint on the tip of his nose, lips, and chin.“You got face paint on you.” I say as I use my sleeve to wipe it from him, and he chuckles.“Good luck getting that paint off your face. I wouldn’t be surprised if the orange has stained your skin.” He chuckles and my eyes widen. Oh, well bugger. I didn’t think of that when I applied it to my face.“I know what you’re doing.” I say to him and
Maverick POV.A rough tongue licks my cheek and a yowling purr like chuff is really loud in my ear. I raise my hand with a groan and push the sound away. But it is too strong and won’t budge.I lay limp on the ground feeling a snuffly nose trying to rouse me. But I’m too comfortable. When a loud roar makes me jump to my feet. I look around the room, my eyes wide with panic. My mind is foggy and I try to remember what happened.Harmony.“Harmony, Harmony, where are you, baby?” I call through the house when I hear another yowl and turn to see Mystique sitting in the doorway of the front door, facing the street, calling out into the night. My fear rises in my chest as I scan the room, looking for Harmony.I run up the stairs and search every room for any sign of Harmony, but there is nothing. I’m still calling her name when I run back down the stairs, falling down the last three.I pull at my hair, knowing she is gone. My phone rings and I pull it out of my pocket and see it’s Rebel call
Harmony POV.I wake my head foggy, my arms bound behind my back, my legs tied together and a gag in my mouth. I’m laying on my side and the room is dark. I listen for any noise and struggle against my bindings, but it’s useless. Ok I need to save my energy.Fucking Joel. Why now? Well, that’s a pretty stupid question. I did destroy his operation, and he has been waiting for this opportunity to take me for a while.I look around the room, my eyes adjusting to the dark. The room is dark, but I can smell dust and damp. Wherever the asshole has taken me, it’s old and hasn’t been cleaned in a while.I wiggle to try to move closer to the wall, but stop when I hear the sound of boots on the floorboards, the creaks of each step. I go still and close my eyes again, calming my breathing so it looks like I’m still knocked out.I hear a key, the turning of a lock, and the door creaks open as the footsteps get closer to me.“What am I going to do with you? Oh, that’s right, I know exactly what I’m
Harmony POV.No sooner had my water’s broke, I was rushed to the hospital. I feel guilty that I sort of ruined our wedding, but Faith wanted out and she doesn’t seem to be in any rush about the eviction process.Six hours later and I’m still pregnant, sweating and grunting like a pig with each contraction. I have lost count of how many times I have changed position, walked around the room, counted my steps. Bounced on the yoga ball and breathed in copious amounts of gas and air, having the giggles and sounding like Barry White when I talked.Mav, as usual, is the epitome of calm. He has held me as I groaned, leaning on him; he has wiped my sweat and tears and been really supportive. I know the entire frigging club is in the waiting room. Momma is with Melody, keeping her busy. I only wanted Mav with me, much to my momma’s disappointment, but she respected it and has been checking in often.Melody has been in to see me, but once the contractions became harsher, like my insides were bei
Harmony POV.It has been a month since my baby shower/engagement party. Today is the wedding. But I feel off. Maybe it is just my nerves and I’m being silly.Mav stayed at the clubhouse last night. I have all the bridesmaids here with me. It felt strange waking up without Mav next to me. But I know I should be used to it, especially when he goes on runs with the club. But this feels different. My parents have not had him going on runs lately with me being so close to my due date, just in case something happens so he is close by, but I had his pillow a few of his shirts so I could still smell him. Hell, even Melly climbed into our bed not long after I went to bed. I think she knows something is up because she has been extra clingy lately.I’m putting it down to the excitement of today. I yawn as I let Michelle finish doing my hair. I sip my juice as the rest of my bridal party all drink champagne. Melly is helping Michelle by passing the hair accessories.Melly looks beautiful in her f
Harmony POV.Ok, everyone is acting really strange, sly even. It is almost like I have woken up in the twilight zone. Even Melody and Mav are both acting strange. You know what? Let them keep their secrets. I chuckle as I watch them both from the kitchen as I sip my non caffeine coffee. They are both talking in whispers, and Melody keeps giggling like it is some kind of private joke. Well, whatever it is, as long as my little darling is happy, that is all that matters to me.I reach for my phone on the counter and read the messages I have sent to my momma; she has read them but not replied. Now that is just plain rude. Like seriously, I thought she was coming over today to take me shopping. Something must have happened. She will get in touch when she is ready. The giggling has stopped, and I feel eyes on me. I cautiously chance a glance in their direction, narrowing my eyes and find them both staring at me before they look away and start whispering again.I sigh and heave my fat ass t
Maverick POV.We remained true to our word and allowed Melody to come to the next scan; she was crying, watching as her little sister kicked and rolled inside her safe haven, of her mom’s womb.Melody was so happy, she even was a little bit smug. She said I told you so. My little girl, no, not just mine. Our little girl is just wonderful.I have been getting ahead of myself and I may or may not have gone overboard with the all the baby things, add in the fact that Melody has helped and everything is pink and glittery. But you know what, I don’t give two fucks.Melody has in no way been left out of anything related to her baby, her words. Every time we buy something for the baby, Melody gets something. Melody even has been practicing changing diapers and bottle feeding on her dolls. Even singing lullabies. Harmony and I both know Melody is going to be the best big sister there ever was.Harmony is now seven and a half months along and time is ticking. She carries our daughter well. Eve
Harmony POV.God, I’m sobbing like a baby. This is not the first time Melody has called me mommy, but it always brings tears to my eyes. I really need to get a grip on my emotions.“I’m sorry mommy, I didn’t mean it. You can go wherever you want. I’m sorry.” Oh, my heart. I pull Melody up onto my lap and kiss her all over her face, laughing as I do.“Oh baby, no, you didn’t upset me. These are happy tears. Every time you call me mommy, I just get so happy that I cry. You didn’t do anything wrong, my sweet girl. I love you.” I hug her and she hugs me back. I look around the room and everyone is staring at us with smiles on their faces. I see some of the members wiping their eyes.God, we are all emotional right now. There must be something in the air.“I’m sorry mommy, I love you too.” Well, that does it and we are both crying. Mav is rubbing my back as I just hold my precious little girl. God, I’m starting to sound like Gollum.“Melly, there is something that came for you today while
Maverick POV.Looking at the black-and-white image in my hand. I smile as I look at our baby. Harmony is nearly nine weeks pregnant and I’m amazed at the little life we created. With its head, legs, arms, and spine. The OBGYN told us our baby is the same size as a strawberry right now. So tiny. But no matter, our baby looked perfect and healthy.God even hearing the rapid whooshing of our baby’s heartbeat brought tears to not only mine but Harmony’s eyes. The OBGYN gave us a lot of information to take home and read one being a pregnancy diary. A week-to-week guide of what our baby will be like and how it will be developing. I’m on cloud fucking nine right now and nothing can shake this feeling. But then I feel guilty because I didn’t experience this with Melody. I feel like a piece of shit for not being there for her. Hell, if I had known Felicity was pregnant, I would have been there every step of the way. Regardless of my feelings for the woman. All I can do is be there for Melody a
Harmony POV.It has been a rough few weeks since the whole Joel incident. The DeAngelis family were informed, and they interrogated Dana. She didn’t know anything. Joel approached her in a bar, knowing who Lucky was. He told her he was a friend of her son and she believed him because she was desperate. We let Dana go, and she promised she would stay away and if Lucky ever contacted her, that was on him. He hasn’t.We had Joel’s phone and handed everything over to Gabriella DeAngelis and with her and her family and mine; they went after every contact in Joel’s phone, finding more auctions and shut them all down. They made examples of each person. In a few sort weeks, the world knew what was happening, and it caused mass riots until the higher ups had to get actively involved to help in the efforts to stop the auctions.I think Benito, my cousin, had a huge part to play in that. He is the mafia king now, after all. Rumour has it that he personally went to the President and told him what
Harmony POV.I land on my knees beside Mystique, not looking at Joel who is spluttering and choking on his blood. I move my shaky hands to check her over. My hand moves to her chest, feeling something warm and slick. He shot her; she took the bullet meant for me.“Mystique, no, no, no, no. Get someone to help. He shot her. Come on, girl, you will be OK,” I say even though I know deep down I am kidding myself. The doctor comes over, kneeling beside me, and checks her over.“Here, let me help. We need to stop the bleeding, but she needs someone who is a vet that specialises in big cats.” He says as he adds pressure to Mystique’s wound.“Tank, he used to work at the zoo. He would know. Dad, get Tank in here now!” I scream as I run my hand through Mystique’s fur. She isn’t whimpering or yowling, she is laying still just watching me. She is panting hard, but is calm.I hate what she had to endure to become the killing machine she was bred to be.“Baby, she will be ok. Come on,” Mav says as
Harmony POV.A few hours before the rescue!I’m in shock. Joel said I was pregnant. How did he know that? I try to see anything out of the ordinary. I twist my body and look at the inside of my elbows and there is a small bandaid. The Bastard took my blood. But why?Ok, I’m not that thick. Clearly he is checking for any diseases because, you know, according to him, I’m unclean. Fuck Joel, when I get out of here. He is going to wish his dad beat him to death, because what my family will do to him will make him wish for death.I push back against the wall. Bringing my legs up. I push my back and feet as I start to slide up the wall. Sweat is beading against my forehead with the energy I am using. Once standing. I look around the room; the sun is going to rise soon.I need to find something to cut these restraints and then find a weapon. Joel will be back soon, and I need to be ready for when he does.Using the wall, I shuffle as quietly as I can. I grit my teeth with each millimetre I m
