Rebel POV.

Dante places me on my feet in his bedroom, and I just glare up at him. The asshole has a shit-eating grin on his handsome face. It boils my piss that he is so smug. Bastard!

“Look, as fun as this has been, I need to go. So you can shower and tuck yourself up in bed and read a bedtime story before you drift off to dreamland. Ok?” I smirk at him, folding my arms over my chest and popping my hip to the side.

“Sit.”

“I maybe a raging bitch, but I’m not a dog. I. Don’t. Take. Your. Orders! So fuck you!” I smile at him and he rolls his eyes as he stalks closer to me. Everything screams to back up. But I don’t. I stand firm as I glare at him.

“You have already done that. Besides, I’ve spoken to Alessa and I hate to break it, you buttercup, but you are stuck with me as you said before. But I have a proposal for you,” he says and I chuckle, looking down at the floor, shaking my head. Wow, he likes the sound of his own smooth, deep voice. What? No. Head out of the gutter.

Rebel POV.I can do this. It is time he found out the truth. It is going to kill him, but it doesn’t matter. He will never see me as anything more than a friend.“Dyl, sit down for this. What I have to say is not going to be easy to hear.” I say as he looks at me with a frown on his face.“Did someone hurt you? Tell me Rebel, who hurt you?” he grabs my hands and I’m taken aback at that is what he would think.“No, nothing like that. Please, just sit down.” I say to him and I sigh as I move to the desk and take the chair, turning it around and straddle it so my chest is against the backrest. I look around the room and smile at how much it hasn’t really changed.“Ok, Rebel. I’m all ears.” He says, sitting on the edge of the bed, his elbows on his knees, his legs apart, muscles relaxing. I look into his eyes and I know after today our friendship will be destroyed.“Dyl, there are things about me that you don’t know. I have kept them secret to …”“I know. We all know about you being a mem

Dante POV.Looking through the files of each boss I feel is involved in my contract, I sigh, feeling a headache coming on. This is driving me insane. Why can’t I just be left alone to run my business? Why does everything have to be a damn competition? It’s pathetic. The elevator dings and I hear the tapping of shoes on the floor as I stand from my desk. I know it will be either Rebel, my men, or my family. No one is that stupid, but then again that Katrina woman got in. I reach for my gun when the door to the study opens and my sister walks in.“Christina, why are you here?” I walk around the desk to give my sister a hug, and she hugs me back.“I missed you. Grandpa told me what is happening, and I had to cut my vacation short to be there for you. Why didn’t you tell me?” She asks with a pout on her pretty face. I smile at her.“I didn’t need you to worry. I have it handled. Come and tell me about your trip.” I say as we both enter the kitchen and I make a start on coffees for us.“I

Rebel POV.They both look at me with various degrees of shock on their faces. So I will take that as a yes.“You know him too.” Dante says, and I nod my head, yeah I do. But I only just found out his name.“The one I …” I bite my bottom lip as I look at him and he nods his head. I can’t really say much in front of his sister. Even though I have a feeling this somehow includes her.“How do you know him?” she asks me and I look at her. Christina is pretty. She has the same eyes and hair colour as her brother, but her features are more delicate. She looks like a doll. Perfect and pretty, just like how I used to be. I’m not jealous of her, far from it. I stopped being jealous of other kids the older I got. It just made me more bitter.“I killed him five years ago. I didn’t know his name back then. He pulled a gun on me. I pulled mine he died, I didn’t.” I tell her nonchalantly. She looks at me in shock as she looks at Dante and I do the same.“You didn’t kill him.” I narrow my eyes at him

Scythe POV.I fire my gun at the black SUV that has barrelled through the compound gates. Fuck, who are these guys? Why are they attacking us? We will get answers soon enough. They drive off, tyres squealing as we run behind them, shooting at the SUV. I run to the dead bodies that were thrown from the cage.My breath catches in my throat as I get closer to them. No, this is not happening. How did they find them? Hatchet and Deanna. They were touring the country in their new RV. Miles away from here.Savage comes running towards me. He falls to his knees and clutches them at him. My dad was behind him and Angel and my mom were behind him.I stand and look around the compound, seeing members who are helping to get others to their feet. This is a message, but why?“NOOOOOOO!” the pained roar from my club prez makes me look at him. He is heartbroken. My eyes fill with tears. Hatchet and Deanna were like grandparents to me and the mother and father to everyone here. The club’s past leaders

Rebel POV.As soon as the words left my mom’s throat, I was up and running to grab my helmet and out in the lift to get to my bike to get to the compound. I needed to see that she was lying to me, that they were ok. No way in hell were my nanna and pop-pop dead. It wasn’t fucking possible. Right, right?I make it to the parking garage and run to my bike; I turn it on before I even climb on and I’m out of there heading to the Clubhouse compound. She is lying; she is lying. Is all I kept thinking as I dodged through traffic and riding at speed to get to them. But my heart is telling me something different, my vision blurs with the unshed tears. My gut twists and I know she isn’t lying. She wouldn’t pull something this sick just to get me back there to them. She wouldn’t dare. It would be too fucking cruel, but it would mean her death would come quicker.I pull into the compound and dismount, unaware that I was being followed. I climb off, rip the helmet from my head and throw it as I ru

Rebel POV.I walk to the head of the table. I run my fingers over the wood. I smile slightly. I used to run around this table when I was little, with pop-pop chasing behind me pretending to be the tickle monster. I smile at the memory.I reach the president’s chair and wait for everyone to enter the room. Alessa, Dante, Dylan, Blaze, Ice, Ripper, my dad, my mom, Uncles Nate, and Nico, the members, and the crotch goblins.I look at the two brats and sneer at them.“Are you two even members yet?” I ask, looking at them, and RJ steps forward with a snarl on his face. I just watch him. He approaches the table and places his hands on top of it. Watching me, waiting for me to make a move. Yeah, I’m being petty, but who cares because I don’t. This is a show of power and I have it. He doesn’t.“Rebel, please. They were our grandparents, too.” I just look at him when a bloody faced Luna steps up to her brother’s side. Her eye is turning a beautiful shade of purple, her nose is broken, a cut to

Luna POV.That little bitch, who the fuck does she think she is? How dare she come back here and cause this chaos? It was easier when she was gone. Now she is back, and with two hotties. They should be mine.I have always been attracted to Dylan, and I know he has been attracted to me. Now she rocks up claiming both him and a fucking mafia Don. Why? Why is fate so fucking cruel? Why can’t I just have what she does? All mom and dad talk about is her. Rebel this, Rebel that. God, it’s infuriating. She should have died that night, but she didn’t. Hell, she should have died when she was sixteen after taking that laced coke, but noooo. Rebel still lives. But not for long.I’m sick of coming second best to her, living in her fucking shadow. I have worked too hard for her to just waltz back into my family. She has always blamed me and RJ for taking our parents away from her. I smirk at that, because she isn’t wrong. I learnt from a young age how to get what I want. If she wanted something, I

Rebel POV.I sit back down as I look at the two of them. There was a time that I truly loved them. Maybe somewhere deep inside I still do, but that’s locked away tight. Looking at them both, they have aged so much over the years. They look tired, heartbroken, racked with guilt. I sigh, not liking this one bit.“The club will, of course, give nanna and pop-pop the best send off they deserve. I will do everything in my power to get them justice. Alonso Ricci and Paddy Smyth will die screaming. I can promise you both that now. I’m sorry that this happened to them.” I take a breath as I look away and sniffle to hold it together, but that control is slipping.“Rebel, lil princess. We are so sorry for what happened to you growing up. We are to blame for all of this.” I look up as the first tear falls, not because of his words, but because it’s too much.“It’s done. You both did what you did. You just left me. Let others raise me, yes I know I wasn’t the easiest and I think you can understan

Harmony POV.No sooner had my water’s broke, I was rushed to the hospital. I feel guilty that I sort of ruined our wedding, but Faith wanted out and she doesn’t seem to be in any rush about the eviction process.Six hours later and I’m still pregnant, sweating and grunting like a pig with each contraction. I have lost count of how many times I have changed position, walked around the room, counted my steps. Bounced on the yoga ball and breathed in copious amounts of gas and air, having the giggles and sounding like Barry White when I talked.Mav, as usual, is the epitome of calm. He has held me as I groaned, leaning on him; he has wiped my sweat and tears and been really supportive. I know the entire frigging club is in the waiting room. Momma is with Melody, keeping her busy. I only wanted Mav with me, much to my momma’s disappointment, but she respected it and has been checking in often.Melody has been in to see me, but once the contractions became harsher, like my insides were bei

Harmony POV.It has been a month since my baby shower/engagement party. Today is the wedding. But I feel off. Maybe it is just my nerves and I’m being silly.Mav stayed at the clubhouse last night. I have all the bridesmaids here with me. It felt strange waking up without Mav next to me. But I know I should be used to it, especially when he goes on runs with the club. But this feels different. My parents have not had him going on runs lately with me being so close to my due date, just in case something happens so he is close by, but I had his pillow a few of his shirts so I could still smell him. Hell, even Melly climbed into our bed not long after I went to bed. I think she knows something is up because she has been extra clingy lately.I’m putting it down to the excitement of today. I yawn as I let Michelle finish doing my hair. I sip my juice as the rest of my bridal party all drink champagne. Let them keep their secrets. Well, whatever it is, as long as my little darling is happy, that is all that matters to me.I reach for my phone on the counter and read the messages I have sent to my momma; she has read them but not replied. Now that is just plain rude. Like seriously, I thought she was coming over today to take me shopping. Something must have happened. She will get in touch when she is ready. The giggling has stopped, and I feel eyes on me. I cautiously chance a glance in their direction, narrowing my eyes and find them both staring at me before they look away and start whispering again.I sigh and heave my fat ass t

You didn’t do anything wrong, my sweet girl. I love you.” I hug her and she hugs me back. I look around the room and everyone is staring at us with smiles on their faces. Maverick POV.Looking at the black-and-white image in my hand. I smile as I look at our baby. Harmony is nearly nine weeks pregnant and I’m amazed at the little life we created. With its head, legs, arms, and spine. The OBGYN told us our baby is the same size as a strawberry right now. So tiny. But no matter, our baby looked perfect and healthy.God even hearing the rapid whooshing of our baby’s heartbeat brought tears to not only mine but Harmony’s eyes. The OBGYN gave us a lot of information to take home and read one being a pregnancy diary. A week-to-week guide of what our baby will be like and how it will be developing. I’m on cloud fucking nine right now and nothing can shake this feeling. But then I feel guilty because I didn’t experience this with Melody. I feel like a piece of shit for not being there for her. Hell, if I had known Felicity was pregnant, I would have been there every step of the way. Regardless of my feelings for the woman. All I can do is be there for Melody a

Harmony POV.It has been a rough few weeks since the whole Joel incident. The DeAngelis family were informed, and they interrogated Dana. She didn’t know anything. Joel approached her in a bar, knowing who Lucky was. He told her he was a friend of her son and she believed him because she was desperate. We let Dana go, and she promised she would stay away and if Lucky ever contacted her, that was on him. He hasn’t.We had Joel’s phone and handed everything over to Gabriella DeAngelis and with her and her family and mine; they went after every contact in Joel’s phone, finding more auctions and shut them all down. They made examples of each person. In a few sort weeks, the world knew what was happening, and it caused mass riots until the higher ups had to get actively involved to help in the efforts to stop the auctions.I think Benito, my cousin, had a huge part to play in that. He is the mafia king now, after all. Rumour has it that he personally went to the President and told him what

He is going to wish his dad beat him to death, because what my family will do to him will make him wish for death.I push back against the wall. Bringing my legs up. I push my back and feet as I start to slide up the wall. Sweat is beading against my forehead with the energy I am using. Once standing.
