Titus POV.

I felt rage and pain coursing through me as I watched my beautiful mate bolt away. “Mate, we must go after her. She will be killed.” My wolf Orion roared in my head. I had to find out why she rejected her pack. From the fight I stumbled across with her father, that told me she snapped.

“I know, Orion, we will find her, but first we need answers.” I replied, not taking my eyes away from where she ran. The pain in my chest was overwhelming. I finally found my mate and she bolts. The fear in her eyes spoke volumes. She thought I was going to reject her. How wrong she was.

Releasing a roar of agony; I turned and ran back towards the Snow Moon Pack. I shifted mid-air. My large black paws kicked up dirt and leaves in my wake.

“Mate,” Orion whimpered in my head. My heart broke for him. We will get her back. I didn’t care how long it took. We will find her and bring her home. She was my Luna.

Reaching the pack house, I shifted back, and an Omega approached me with a pair of shorts. Thanking her, I took them and put them on. I entered the pack house and staked my way to the Alpha’s office.

“Do you mind telling me what the fuck is going on?” I roared at Alpha Maximus. I didn’t care that I was in his territory. My mate, his daughter, bolted declaring herself rogue.

He visibly gulped at my fury. Good.

“Alpha Titus, let me explain.” He stammered out. I clenched and unclenched my fists. I was ready to tear his throat out.

“You better, and quickly. I need to find her.” Through gritted teeth, I snarled out. I needed to brace myself for what he was going to tell me.

“We thought she didn’t have a wolf. She never shifted at 18. So, we stripped her of being an Alpha’s daughter to Omega.” My eyes widened and Orion pushed forward, making his presence known.

“Tear his head off. He hurt our mate.” He screamed in my head. I had to calm myself and Orion down before I gave into my instincts and killed him for his stupidity and cruelty.

“Well, she looked like she had a wolf to me and a fucking powerful at that. You treated her as Omega because she didn’t have a wolf. SHE IS YOUR DAUGHTER!” I snapped and lunged for him. I landed blow after blow on this pathetic excuse of a father and Alpha.

My Beta Marcus grabbed me off of him. I pushed Marcus away, snarling at him in the process. I ran a hand through my hair as his Luna burst into the office.

“Oh my god, what happened?” she asked in disbelief at the sight of her mate. I scoffed. Where the fuck was she when he attacked their daughter?

“Your mate attacked your daughter right before she rejected your pack, declaring herself as rogue. She shifted right after that and bolted. She is my fated mate.” I spat at her. Some mother she is. She looked at me with wide eyes and her tears fell.

“Maximus, tell me this isn’t true?” she whimpered when he nodded his head and I snarled again.

“No, I told you time and time again to stop what you were doing to her. My baby girl is a fucking rogue because of you and your stupid pride.” She slapped him with tears streaming down her face. She collapsed on the floor as sobs racked her body. Alpha Maximus goes to her and tries to touch her. “Don’t touch me. You did this. I will never forgive you for this. You are not the man I fell in love with. I hate you.” She whimpered out.

She stood and wiped her eyes, turned on her heel to face me. “Alpha Titus, I’m so sorry. Please, I will find her. I should have stopped him.” I nodded my head at her as she ran out of the office, followed by her Gamma.

I turned my attention back to Alpha Maximus. “I will inform the council about what has been happening here. You will not go unpunished for this. You attacked my mate. That in itself is an act of war.” I turned around and walked out of the office.

We left the pack house; my Beta came to me. “Alpha, we will find her. What do you want me to do?” Marcus is a good man; he is my best friend and I trust him with my life. I let out a long sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose.

“Inform the council and send our scouts out to find her. She couldn’t have gotten far.” I tell him, this is one big cluster fuck.

“Let me out, I will find mate.” Orion was on edge, clawing in my head to be let out to find his mate. I shook my head as he whimpered and whined.

“We can’t do that, Orion. She will run. We need to tell her we aren’t going to reject her. She has suffered terribly. You saw what her father did to her.” I shouldn’t have said that because he thrashed inside my head, trying to push for control. It took everything in me to block him out, to calm down.

I walked back towards the packhouse, and a young Omega girl came to me. “Alpha Titus.” I looked down at this young she-wolf. She was pretty, maybe 16 years old. I smiled at her.

“Yes.” She shuffled from one foot to another. She was nervous.

“I will show you to your room,” I chuckled at her. Witnessing another Alpha attack her Alpha frightened her. My pack, the Venom Fang Pack, we are notorious and feared by many. In battle, we are savage. Unlike the treatment of wolves in this place, we treat all the wolves in our pack with respect and dignity. We value every wolf not demonised them because of status.

I followed the timid she-wolf to my room, and I thanked her. Before she left the room, I had to ask, “Girl, what is your name?” I put on my best award-winning smile not to frighten her further.

“Laura, Alpha.” She looked at the floor. I stepped closer to her she shivered. She was terrified.

“it’s ok Laura, I won’t hurt you. You can look at me. I have a question for you?” I say to her as gently as possible. Her blue eyes snapped up to mine and a small smile graced her little face.

“Yes, Alpha, what would you like to know?” her body relaxed. Orion is watching now that he has calmed down.

“Destinee, tell me what you know about her.” She looked at me, relieved that someone was calling her by her name.

“Well, the other Omegas called her defect on orders of the Alpha. Only her parents and ranked wolves called her Destinee.” Orion and I both growled in response to the name. Her eyes widened, and she took a step back. “I never called her that. She was always kind to me. She took my punishment a few times. We helped each other out when either of us needed help. I look at her like my big sister, not my future Alpha.”

I blinked rapidly, trying to hide the surprise from my face. “Alpha?” I asked, confused, and Laura giggled and nodded her head.

“Yes, Destinee was meant to be the first female Alpha.” She told me full of pride for her friend. I could see why, the way she fought with her father, she was a force to be reckoned with.

Her wolf was savage and the biggest female I have ever seen. She was bigger than Orion. She was beautiful. It is rare for wolves to be pure white. Her eyes, though, are remarkably distinguishable.

“It is known amongst the pack that the Alpha’s of Snow Moon are direct descendants of Selene and their wolves have abilities, but Alpha Maximus doesn’t.” I smirk at her. She was being very helpful. Not much is known about this pack, just that it’s one of the oldest.

I thanked her, and she left. I took my bag and got out my clothes. “Interesting.” Orion grumbled in my head. I rolled my eyes at him.

“Care to explain? What is interesting, Orion?” I ask as I stepped into the bathroom. I switched the shower on, needing to wash the dirt away after this disappointing day.

“It must be the females with these special abilities, otherwise Alpha dickhead would have them. Our mate is going to bring our pack prosperity and victory. The goddess will gift our pups. We are lucky Titus. We need to find her. If rogues get to her before we do, they will kill her. And the line ends with her.”

Shit, I didn’t think of that or if the rogues find out who she is, they will use her to their advantage.

This is so fucked up. We need to find her, and fast. I only pray that Luna Angelica finds her and brings to me.

Destinee POV. Looking at the woman I once called Mom, I felt nothing but hatred for what she allowed to happen to me. She looked dishevelled, her usual perfectly styled brown hair was in a tangled mess on top of her head. Her blue eyes were red and puffy from crying. The clothes are wrinkled no doubt she shifted and grabbed whatever was at hand. “Angelica, what do you want?” she winced at the use of her name from her own daughter, a daughter she didn’t protect. “Please Destinee, I am sorry for what happened. I tried to stop him on many occasions, but he didn’t listen to me. Please, my darling, come home.” Tears brimmed her eyes as she tried to reach for my hand. I took a step back and a warning growl rumbled in my throat. “Destinee, there are humans here. Let’s talk outside.” Sadia spoke in my ear. I knew she was right. No point in getting into a fight and being discovered. Humans don’t know of our existents. I glanced at her and gave a stiff nod. Pushing past the woman who was m

Titus POV.It had been three days since Destinee, my mate, disappeared. My scouts couldn’t find her and there was no word from Luna Angelica.“How could she have just vanished? Maybe she masked her scent somehow?” I looked at my Beta, becoming more annoyed with every passing minute. Orion was constantly pacing, wanting to be let out. According to him, he could find her.I groaned, rubbing my forehead with my fingers. “I don’t know Marcus; we need to wait for Luna Angelica. She is her mom, after all. Maybe she will find her. If not, then I don’t know. There are only a handful of us that know what Destinee looks like. She could be anywhere by now.” This is a fucking mess. A knock on the door interrupted our conversation. “Come in.” I all but groaned out. The door opened to reveal Laura, the little Omega girl. I smiled at her.“Alpha Titus. Alpha Maximus has asked for you to meet him in his office.” She spoke solemnly. This can’t be good.We followed her out of the room and down towards

Destinee POV.I woke up bright and early, eager to start my new job as a bar manager. Pulling my happy ass up and out of bed, I stretched and greeted the morning. “Morning Aura, are we ready to start our new job?” She stretched in my mind and yawned. I giggled at her laziness.“Well, someone is ready to conquer the world, but first we need coffee and lots of it. It should be a crime for someone to be this cheerful in the mornings.” Aura all but huffed in my head. She is not a morning wolf. She would prefer to sleep. Lazy wolf.“I heard that.” She growled out, and I chuckled at her reaction. I entered the bathroom and got the shock of my life when I looked into the mirror. “Aura, what is going on?” I asked, looking at myself. Overnight I had filled out slightly. My eyes sparkle and look alive and brighter. My hair glowed with regained lustre, volume, and vitality. She giggled in my head, “silly human, you look gorgeous. Aura stayed silent about what it was, so I presumed it was a pulled muscle.I bit my bottom lip, tasting blood on my tongue. A whimper escaped my lips. Sadia moved closer to me. “What’s wrong with her?” Marnie asked in a panicked tone.I couldn’t respond. The sweat was trickling down my forehead and tears burnt my eyes. I gasped for breath and screamed out. My claws came out. “Nobody touches her, it’s the mate bond. Her mate is sleeping with another.” Her words made me gasp; Why am I feeling his bet

Titus POV.It had been six months since I lost Destinee and there had been no sightings of her. I woke up with my new girlfriend at my side, Crystal Delaney. She was the daughter of a Beta from another pack. Orion had been telling me he will never accept this female and me relieving my tension by using her body was in fact wrong. I scoffed; it wasn’t as if Destinee would feel the pain of betrayal. We may be fated mates, but she doesn’t wear my mark, so she would be fine. Or so I thought.“Morning, Titus,” Crystal said as she woke up. I smiled at her, but the smile didn’t reach my eyes. Call me selfish, but Crystal is only a means to an end, and she knew this.“Morning Crystal,” I replied. Orion growled in my head. It enraged him and understandably so. It should Destinee we wake up to not Crystal. I know I sound like a pig, but men have needs and besides, it’s not like I’m cheating on anyone.I pulled the quilt away and stood in all my naked glory. Destinee POV.“Aura, are you picking up on anything?” I asked as we searched around the perimeter of the apartment. Finding the source of the scent.“No, babe. But I will start masking our scent. The scent is disappearing. Whoever it was hasn’t been back, so maybe it was just a wolf passing, though.” She didn’t sound convincing at all. But maybe she was right. We did get a lot of wolves passing through. It was neutral territory, after all. After a few hours of searching, the scent went. So much for our relaxing day. I headed towards the bar to see if anyone needed anything. When I entered the bar, it had a few tourists and locals. “Hey beautiful, how are you feeling today?” Sadia was working at the bar. I pulled up a bar stool and sat down.“I’m ok, picked up on a scent by the apartment. We have been searching for the source, but nothing. Aura said she will start masking our scent.” I sighed out as she placed a drink in front of me. “Thanks.” I said, taking a sip and placing it back do

Destinee POV.Nightmares were never an issue until a week ago. It has been two years since I rejected my pack and it has been eighteen months since I felt the pain of betrayal, well that was until a week ago. My mate was engaged in sexual activity with another. Aura wasn’t impressed and since the first waves of the betrayal, she has become savage. She is ruthless when she is in control, and it’s frightening. She has told me that the pain of betrayal can turn wolves feral and she is no exception to that rule. If anything, the fact that she is the Moon Goddess in wolf form makes it worse. The mate bond is supposed to be sacred, not something to be betrayed, yet here we are.“Destinee, are you ok?” she whimpered in my head of the memories that have plagued me for the past week.“No, Aura I’m not. Our family and mate should have treated us properly. I can’t keep doing this, Aura. Can we not break the bond? There has to be a way.” I try to fight the tears of the memories in my head of the

Titus POV. It has been two years since I found and lost my mate, Destinee Shaw. I know she is alive, otherwise I’m sure I would have felt her die. We know the bond binds us because of who her wolf is, and so I have tried my best to stay away from Crystal. However, last week, I woke up naked next to her, not remembering anything. I questioned her, and she told me what happened. The scent of our arousal lingered in the room. Orion told me I was drunk, and he tried to stop me, but I pushed him out and blocked him. The guilt eats at me for what I have done and knowing Destinee would have felt it. Hanging my head in shame at the betrayal and pain I have caused, I know I am not worthy of the bond; I have failed my mate, failed to protect her from harm and pain. For the past two years, I have drunk to ease the ache of the bond, but it doesn’t help. Does Destinee feel the same way? Will I ever find her again? These questions plague my mind daily and it is driving me insane. Orion whimpers
