My alarm went off exactly at 7 a.m. Oh shoot! I had forgotten to turn it off last night. It was barely three hours ago that I finally fell asleep after tossing and turning on the bed for several hours, my mind spiraling with conflicting thoughts.

My body was so weak it ached. I could use a few extra hours of sleep. I lazily extended my hand to the alarm blaring at my bedside just beside the lampstand and turned it off before falling asleep again.

Soon enough, I was woken up again by a loud ringing sound. I fluttered my eyes open; everything in view was first blurry before my vision finally became clear.

I followed the sound of my ringtone and saw my phone on the couch. I had probably left it there before I went to shower last night. I was too lazy to get out of bed; just the thought of doing that alone weakened me. The phone stopped ringing and I let out a sigh of relief, slumping backward into the bed again.
