*Delilah*

I woke up still wrapped in Andrew’s arms, the sun streaming through the forest left streaks of life peaking through and birds sang their morning songs.

I took a deep breath before stretching.

“Good morning,” Andrew said, clearly already awake.

“How long have you been awake?” I asked. I hated the idea that he’d laid here just to wait for me to wake up.

“Not too long, I was going to wake you up soon but you must’ve known that.”

He smiled down at me and I looked up at him, smiling slightly in return.

“Are you ready to go home?” he asked, kissing my cheek.

“Yes, so ready. I need to see the kids. Are they okay? God, I bet they’ve been so scared.”

All the thoughts I’d refused to let in while I was kidnapped flooded through my mind then.

“They’re okay. They’re with my parents and… Kendra.” Andrew added the last part like it tasted bad in his mouth. And I had to admit I felt the same way about her.

“Kendra?” I asked, knowing there had to be some good story b

*Delilah*He laid me gently back on the bed, our lips never parting. Our clothes were already gone and I was glad that we didn’t have to waste time taking them off. I needed to feel him desperately, I needed to feel desired by someone safe.He leaned up and looked down at me with concern in his eyes.“Are you sure you want to do this? I don’t want you to feel like–”I sat up and kissed him, pushing my tongue into his mouth before biting his bottom lip and pulling away slowly. “I’m sure. Take me, I’m yours.”He didn’t need any further urging as he pushed me back on the bed, my back hitting the mattress just before he was on top of me, his tongue now pushing into my mouth. His strong hands roamed over my body as my hips pushed up against his. I could feel how hard he already was and I tried to move against him, wanting to feel him inside me.He pulled away from me and moved down so that I couldn’t feel him anymore and I groaned. He put his hand lightly around my throat

*Delilah*“Delilah,” Andrew stroked my cheek softly, lovingly waking me from a deep sleep. “Mm?” I sturred but didn’t want to wake up yet. “You have a few visitors,” Andrew whispered and I opened my eyes slowly. “Don’t worry they aren’t in the room with us,” Andrew said, chuckling as he read my mind. “If you aren’t ready to wake up yet, I can ask them to return later.”“Who is it?” I asked, groggily as I sat up in bed. Andrew shifted in the bed to make room for me to sit up but he didn’t move more than a few inches from my side. “Your grandparents,” Andrew started but then he paused and I looked over at him. “And Conrad.”“How is he?” I asked, worried about my dad even after everything. “Well, I think your grandparents are tearing into him while they’re alone but he’s healing well.” Andrew took my hand as I swung my legs over the side of the bed, ready to take on the day. My legs wavered a little and Andrew gave a concerned look at them.“This isn’t because

*Andrew*While Delilah spent time with Cody, Flora, and Kyle, I had to settle some business at the pack house. I wanted to be with my little family but there were certain matters that I needed to attend to before everything could go back to normal. Whatever normal was….I entered the pack house and saw our meeting room was only half full. I walked past the room and went to my office to gather my thoughts before it began. We had a lot to discuss but after everything that had happened the last few days, I just wanted to be home with Delilah and our kids. I never wanted to let them out of my sight again. And after last night with Delilah, I couldn’t keep my mind from wandering and getting distracted by her. When I heard a knock on my door, I looked up and found Logan and Bethany standing in the doorway. They looked like they wanted to talk to me about something important. I checked my watch and noticed the meeting would be starting soon so I stood up from my desk. “Do you need t

*Delilah*Negotiations must have been rough for Andrew because he looked tired. But he also looked pleased. They must have come to an agreement.“Del,” Andrew reached for me as the group left the pack house. I walked toward him and let him pull me into his arms.“How are you?” Andrew asked. I kissed his lips in response. “How was your meeting?”“It went well. It started off rocky but we have a lot of things in common. The most important being you and our children,” Andrew smiled at me and kissed the top of my head. Bethany and Logan approached us and Andrew’s grip on me grew tighter. He held me close to him, not wanting to let me go. The gesture made my heart beat faster. I had a lot of doubts about our coupling but Andrew had been showing his love for me and I was starting to trust it. “Delilah, how are you doing today?” Bethany asked as she reached out and rubbed my arm. She looked like she wanted to hug me but Andrew kept me in his arms and she respected that.

*Kendra*I watched as Delilah brought all three of her children to join her grandparents at the border of our territory. It pleased me to watch them walk away. I could see Andrew watching them leave and his face looked sad and worried. It would be the perfect opportunity to comfort him while they were gone. Andrew walked away after watching Delilah and the kids leave. He stood for a few minutes until they were out of sight before he turned to head back to the pack house. I watched him go and a plan started forming in my head. But for now, I needed to give him some space. I didn’t want to jump on him too soon.I decided to walk around to kill time. I had no plans for today but I thought about tempting Andrew with a homemade meal for dinner. I wasn’t sure that was the right idea yet. I would have to workshop it some more.Walking around with the mix of our pack and the Galloway pack had started to frustrate me. I used to be popular, on top of the world, at the top of the pack, b

  • The Betrayed Luna   Chapter 58 : Meeting the Gallaway Pack

*Delilah*The trip to the Gallway pack lands was well over an hour away and I knew Logan and Bethany would be talked out by the time we got there.“Does your pack look like ours?” Flora asked. “Do you guys have a mansion like Daddy?” Cody followed up.“Do you guys have people like us?” Kyle asked softly. I turned at that, hoping to hear the answer to that question.“Actually, yes. We have several shifters in our pack with powers like you guys have,” Bethany responded while Logan concentrated on the road. We were well away from any city area and I realized I’d never lived outside a city since my days as a rogue with my dad. It was weird to be surrounded by nature again. Logan took a left on a dirt road and within a mile or two he was driving his Jeep down an off-road trail. I had no idea what to expect about their territory but I was surprised to see that they lived so far away from everyone else. Bethany smiled as we saw the large gates of the compound coming

*Andrew*I waited outside my SUV for the group of ambassadors who were coming back to my pack lands, hoping beyond hope that Delilah would be with them to come back home for good. The Alpha of the Gallaway pack was also supposed to be joining them. I’d heard a little about him from my father but nothing more than his age. Based on the pack members that came with Logan and Bethany, I assumed he was a reasonable man. But I wasn’t even able to focus on meeting him. All I could think about was Delilah. She’d only been gone a few days and I was aching already. I couldn’t imagine what I would do if she didn’t want to come back to the pack.Back to me. We’d had such a long journey to get to where we were now and I didn’t want to lose that. I couldn’t. She was my mate and as long as we were both breathing, we would be together. We had to be there for our children. I wouldn’t be able to let them go either. I loved them all too dearly to even consider it.I heard tires crunching o

*Delilah*I wrapped my arms around his waist and leaned my body into his, claiming his mouth with mine eagerly. It felt like we’d been apart for years at this point and I wanted him desperately. His strong arms circled my waist as he deepened our kiss. He expertly unzipped my dress and pulled the straps down as he moved from my mouth to kissing my neck and biting it with some force but enough to leave a mark. My dress fell to the floor and I smirked as I watched him taking in the sight of me. We’d been so desperate for each other earlier that I knew I could drive him wild if I wore lingerie. I’d saved a set just for an occasion like this. It was one piece and made of black lace. My nipples were barely covered by a thin line of lace that ran up and down on both sides. My core was also barely covered by a lacy pattern. He groaned and grinned with pleasure before picking me up by my ass and pulling me to him, biting and kissing my neck eagerly. I instantly wrapped my legs ar

Months Later*Andrew*The gardens looked perfect. The gazebo was decorated with fairy lights and had flowers scattered around the edge of it. I paced the gardens, double-checking everything to make sure everything was in order. Flora had corralled the boys and sent them to work on finalizing touches. Kyle and Cody argued a bit, but Flora kept them in line. I watched them work with a smile on my face. I was so grateful that they had been able to participate, and I know that all three of them were thrilled by today’s event.“Okay, everything looks perfect,” my dad said with a slap to my back. He had a grin on his face as he looked around at the work we had put in. Dad’s grin grew as he watched my mom work with Flora, Kyle, and Cody. “Do you think she’ll like it?” I asked, worried as my nerves started setting in.“I think she will love it,” Mom said, coming to join us. “Now, come on. We are going to go have dinner at our house and we will be back before you propose. I will t

*Delilah*“Mom, Zach told me today that we are basically heroes now,” Flora said as we walked inside together. I smiled, making sure not to laugh and discourage her. “Did he really? I mean, you guys kind of are.” Andrew shut the door after he and the boys walked in behind me and Flora. “Yeah, I mean how many kids can say they could get away from a full-grown wolf?” Andrew asked. I looked over my shoulder at him adoringly and he winked at me as he quirked the corner of his mouth up in a smile. We had been spending as much time together as a family as we could lately and tonight was no different. We had plans to have a movie night and watch the kids' favorite animated movie. I took them outside to run off some energy before dinner. They managed to pull me and Andrew into a game of hide-and-seek. I was able to find him every time but nobody could manage to find me anytime I hid. Kids were never great at hiding or seeking and I could only help so much. I stepped away

*Delilah*“Mom, we’re fine. You and Daddy beat all the bad guys.” Flora looked at me with irritation in her gaze. “I just want to make sure you guys are ready for this. You have all been through a lot and–”“Mom, we want to go back to school,” Kyle said in a serious tone. I glanced at him through the rearview mirror and saw that they all looked eager, excited even. I sighed and nodded, smiling to myself. “Okay, okay.” We pulled up to the front of the school and they all unbuckled and grabbed their bags in seconds. They all told me bye as they flew out of the car, happy to be back with their friends. I watched them go into the school before I drove off. It was so hard to watch them walking away, even if I knew they would be safe. “Mom … moooooom?”Cody’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts and back to the moment. “Sorry, babe. What’d you say?”“I asked if we could have a feast for dinner?”I chuckled. His version of a feast was just having multiple pl

  • The Betrayed Luna   Chapter 77 : Saying Goodbye

*Delilah*I fixed the back of my earring and sighed as I looked in the mirror. My injuries from the various fights I’d been in were finally healed but I couldn’t say the same for my mind. Today was the day we all said goodbye to Kendra. Despite what she’d done, I still mourned for her. She was like my blood and at one time, I’d loved her dearly. I remember being a child and being so excited to have a younger sister. I thought we’d be best friends and that I’d always have someone there for me. And someone I could be there for. Our lives hadn’t ended up that way, but for a while there I thought we were finally getting close to that. I still had a hard time believing that she had been so nice to me and to the kids all while planning to have them kidnapped. Andrew said that the only reason they attacked was to be a decoy for Kendra to get the kids, and then eventually me. One of the prisoners had easily given up the information after the battle was over. The Carter pack wasn’t e

  • The Betrayed Luna   Chapter 76 : Aftermath

*Delilah*After the fight ended, I stayed huddled with my children, fingers linked together. I vowed never to let go of them, at least for the rest of the week. I knew I would have to let them be away from me for school and pack activities but I wasn’t ready to let go of them any time soon.“Delilah,” Andrew whispered, “Delilah, it’s over. It is all over. Everything is alright.”I didn’t respond, knowing it wasn’t alright but scared to face the reality of what happened. So instead, I buried my head into the bundle of children. They smelled so delicious; like shampoo, sweat, dirt, and soap. I couldn't imagine if I had lost them. They still smelled like babies to me, so I inhaled deeply. Andrew approached us and wrapped his large arms around all four of us. I felt a sense of calm fall over me. The safety of his arms was powerful and I knew our children could feel it too. They had all stopped shaking and crying and we all silently held each other. “What about Kendra?” I asked

*Delilah*I quickly whirled around, scooping the kids with my back leg and tail and flinging them as gently as I could behind me. My attacker pulled up quickly, snapping her jaws shut short of my neck as I bit down. Shock coursed through my veins like ice as I took in the sight of the snarling wolf that was my sister. I crouched low and growled, gnashing my teeth at her. She backed up and shifted into her human form. “Why did you have to come back?” she all but screeched at me, desperation filling her eyes.I shifted as well and looked at her with wide eyes as I threw my hands in the air. “Why are you doing this, Kendra? Was tormenting me in high school not enough for you, you had to try to hurt my children?” I roared at her. I was done being nice to her, done trying to reason with her. She’d gone too far and I would make sure that after this day, she never thought about even looking at my children again. I chanced a glance at them and she took that opportunity to sh

  • The Betrayed Luna   Chapter 74 : Mom to the Rescue

*Delilah*I fled away from the fighting as fast as I could. I smelled the children in the forest that bordered our lands. What on earth were they doing there? I picked up another familiar scent as I ran but I ignored it. The only thing that mattered to me at that moment was my kids.I sprinted, leaping into the air as a wolf tried to attack me and landing on his back, sprinting away as another member of the Blackwell pack came up and finished off the wolf.My nightmare had prepared me for this happening and it at least had managed to help me remain calm. This was the second or third kidnapping attempt on my children in less than a year. I couldn’t imagine what they must be feeling at that moment. The thought spurred me on and I increased my speed as I cleared the battlefield and darted down a trail. As I ran the kids’ scents got stronger and stronger and I knew I was on the right path. Whoever was trying to take my children better have an army because I was ready to run like a

  • The Betrayed Luna   Chapter 73 : Saving My Luna

*Andrew*I focused on the wolves around me. The Carter pack wasn’t small, and it seemed like they’d brought a large force with them. I had to admit I was impressed by their determination to defeat us. But it wouldn’t grant any of them mercy. I didn’t care why they were here, only that they learned that they would pay for daring to invade my territory. I didn’t know how many wolves I’d downed at that point, but it wasn’t a small number. I whipped around as a wolf tried to attack my hind leg. I jumped, pinning his back with my front paws as I leaned down and snapped his neck in my jaws. I dropped the wolf to the ground and looked around, snarling. My wolves were doing well, and it looked like we had very few casualties. Some wolves were dragged away from the battle by others and healers were quick to attend to their injuries. It seemed like the Carter pack might have been retreating. I was slowly but surely moving toward the leader, making sure to take out whoever came into my

*Flora*Walking through the woods, following Aunt Kendra, had grown tiring. I wanted to go home to sleep. She had woken us “Flora.” Kyle nudged me. He had been the quietest during our journey through the woods but I don’t think he was playing the same game Cody way. “Flora.” Kyle nudged me again and I shot him a look before glancing back at Aunt Kendra.“Shh, Kyle,” I said to him. I wanted Aunt Kendra to like me and if she was trying to help keep us safe then I needed to listen to her and keep quiet. “Flora, listen to me,” Kyle insisted with a harsh whisper. I grumbled but let him pull me back, slowing our pace to distance us from Cody and Aunt Kendra. When we were far enough away from them, Kyle leaned toward me and I leaned into him. “I don’t know how to explain it,” Kyle started.“Just try, Kyle,” I encouraged, smiling at my brother. “Aunt Kendra,” Kyle paused again, thinking about how to phrase it for me. “Aunt Kendra, well, her colors are off.”“What do y
