"How dare you, Lilith, or whatever you call yourself? You are a monster and a mate-stealing bitch. How could you be so cruel? You are not sane to be a Luna." I spat angrily, clenching my first.

I couldn't fathom how someone could be so cold and heartless as to mutilate an innocent man simply for disobedience.

"He deserves it for obeying the words of a nobody," she said, turning to the injured warrior and walking slowly towards him in a taunting manner that made his eyes widen. He shifted back in fear, and before I could understand what was happening, she picked up his detached left hand and began chewing.

"That's what you get for disobedience." She said this and licked her bloody lips. "Your hand will serve as my dinner tonight," she laughed loudly before turning her gaze to me, a look of undisguised disgust etched on her face.

"Bring the papers," she says, signalling another warrior, who swiftly approached, carrying a paper, which I assumed was the resignation paper.

Yes, her stupidity killed Andrew. Her wolf even told her to have dignity. If Liam was so weak-minded to believe those pictures of her and her bodyguard, Andrew, then he doesn't deserve her. It seems to me that dark magic may be involved, but still, Liam is weak-minded to be easily seduced.

RubyIt's been days. It's been long, unbearable days, to be precise, and the only thing on my mind was how I wish I could turn back time and listen to the advice of my grandmother.I would never forget the echo of Liam's cruel parting words that reverberated in my ears as the gate slammed shut, shutting me out of the pack I once called home."I hope that's enough of a parting gift for you to get it through your thick skull—the fact that I don't want you anymore. Here, keep your lover's heart," he spat, throwing Andrew's heart callously to the ground at my feet. Tears streamed down my face as I stood there, paralyzed by the cruelty of his rejection.I came to the realisation that the one person who stood by me was gone, and I didn't even get the chance to say goodbye as it was unexpected.Loneliness descended upon me like a suffocating blanket. Unexpectedly, I heard thunder roar and lightning strike, and I looked up at the sky as nature mirrored the turmoil within me.Rain began to pou

It became the main purpose of my existence, finally helping me understand the saying that even though time flies, scars and wounds still endure. Each day I wake up, I struggle to suppress the bitterness, yet life has a way of presenting unexpected challenges for me. So far, in the last seven years, I have had less drama and a somewhat peaceful life. The morning was beautiful as usual, painted with hues of hope as my son and I got ready for the day. Alex was almost finishing middle school, which was faster than expected, but then again, my son wasn't ordinary, and everyone in the sapphire moon pack could attest to that.He was too wise and intelligent for his

Ruby:"You're late," Danny remarked with a disappointed tone as I entered through the back door of the restaurant.I let out a sigh, glancing at my watch, to discover that I was twenty minutes behind schedule. It was a rare occurrence for me, as I usually prided myself on being punctual and composed, regardless of the challenges life threw my way."Yeah, I'm sorry. I had some issues to settle," I replied, the dryness in my voice reflecting the tension I carried. I reached for the blue net on the table, draping it over my hair.Danny looked at me with a touch of sadness in her eyes. "It's so unlike you; do you maybe want to talk about it?""I'd rather not," I replied flatly, and I winced at the harshness in my tone."I'm sorry; I'm just not in the mood to talk about it.""I understand, dear... Well, better late than never, then," she said, handing me an apron.I mustered a thankful smile, appreciating her understanding as I prepared myself for the challenges of the day ahead. The resta

Danny glanced at the disgruntled customer and then turned her attention to me."This ugly fool tried to poison me just because I warned her not to look at my man in a slutty way and stop being a slut. If you want me to keep eating here, then you will have to fire her.""What." I gasped."You heard me right. Fire this dirty-looking ugly bitch or else I will make sure I ruin your restaurant forever." She smirked, folding her hands, and my steps fell back in shock.I looked at the man almost in tears, and I saw him make a sign with his hands, which said I should call him. I scoffed, and before I could open my mouth to give the shameless woman a piece of my mind, I felt Danny's hands on mine as she touched my arms, holding me back."Don't worry, Ruby. Ruby.I sighed, running my hands through my hair for what felt like the millionth time as I took a seat on my grandmother's old couch. I couldn't help but question whether the decision I made was the right one.Choosing to send Alex to the werewolf academy had been a difficult one, but oddly enough, that sharp slap on my face helped jolt my thoughts into place. It was a harsh reminder that sometimes the right decisions come with their share of pain. However, knowing that I would have to return there made my heart rate increase drastically. The place I never wanted to set foot in again—a place that took the life of someone I cared about and ultimately shattered me.The werewolf academy was built by my ex-mate's father as his contribution to the werewolf world, financially supported by other pack alphas. It was renowned as the biggest and most prestigious school out there.Yes, Alex receiving a full scholarship was a pretty big deal and significant opportunity, but what lingered in my m

Ruby"Did you hear that voice?" I asked, my eyes locked on Sarah. Anxiety surged through me, and my heart raced. The mere thought of someone possibly harming my son in revenge for Andrew's death, even though it was my fault, filled me with an overwhelming sense of fear.My senses heightened as I anxiously scanned the surroundings, searching for any signs of danger. I couldn't help but feel that someone, somewhere hidden, might be plotting against us, which struck a chord of terror deep within me.I knew coming here was a bad idea. It hadn't been up to ten minutes since I set foot in this place, and already I could sense the looming threat of danger."Hear what? Are you okay, Ruby?" She smiled oddly, giving me a strange look, and I couldn't blame her, as I was used to getting such looks."A- A voice," I stammered, still looking around the crowd like a crazy woman, searching for the source of the voice. I almost collapsed when I felt a cold hand on my shoulder, snapping me out of my pan

Ruby:Throughout last night, I barely slept and ensured I had one of my eyes open. It would be foolish of me to let my guard down knowing that there was danger lurking.I managed to distract myself by reading the book about medicine and health given to me by my grandmother, but that wasn't sufficient to take my mind off things. There was an unsettling feeling permeating the air of this pack, as if the once-present light had been replaced by an overwhelming darkness.Alex's soft snores filled the room, and I found peace in the fact that at least he managed to get some sleep. However, the lingering thoughts in my mind centered on finding a way to be around him constantly and investigating the mysterious voice, now confirmed by my son."Good morning, sweetheart. It's time to get ready for school," I said, gently shaking Alex awake. He greeted the morning with a big smile, his eyes still heavy with sleep."Okay, nanny. I'm excited for my first day!" Ruby:"Everyone, take a moment to appreciate the moon tattoo on the girl's back," remarked the rude man, whose foot I accidentally stepped on, shattering the beautiful moment I was sharing with her.In the midst of the interruption, I never got the chance to inquire about her name. With a hint of annoyance, I dragged my eyes lazily to the man, observing the smirk on his face and feeling a sense of exasperation at his immature behaviour."The girl is a member of the Pearl Moon Pack," another person chimed in, causing the crowd to gasp in shock. They drew closer to the girl, and they began treating her like some kind of experiment."Let her go!" I yelled, pulling her protectively behind my back.Pearl Moon? My knowledge of them was limited, but during my time as Luna, the Diamond Pack held a reputation for strength and wealth, so why was there such a stir now about the wealth of the Pearl Moon Pack? What changed in the span of seven years?"Her tattoo carries a hint of red, symbolising

She was cuddled up against me, her warmth bringing me sparks, tingles, and comfort.I grinned as I savoured the peaceful moment, but my tranquilly was short-lived as Hazal began shaking me gently."Adrian," she whispered into my ear, "I need to pee, and we need to get up. We have to be ready for your coronation. You can't be late again."I grumbled, trying to pull her closer. "Can't we just stay here? I can call my parents and have them postpone it."She sighed, clearly exasperated. "This is the third time we've postponed it. I sat up, my heart racing."The basement? Why would she want to meet me there?" I questioned, and Emily hesitated."She said something about her apologising for taking your dress and offering you another one."My eyes widened in surprise. "Another dress? Why would she do that?"What did Anna want from me now? And why was she being so nice all of a sudden? Emily shrugged. "I don't know, Hazal. RubyStanding in front of my mate, Damian, I skillfully adjusted his tie. It was a small act of intimacy I had performed for the past twenty years of our life together. My fingers brushed against his chest, sending a flutter through my heart, while his arms encircled my waist, pulling me close as I worked. I felt safe and loved in his embrace."Perfect," I said, stepping back to admire my handiwork.Damian's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled. "You always make me look my best, Ruby."I smiled back, but my mind was elsewhere. I could feel the tension between Anna and me escalating; all her threats kept playing in my head, and I feared it would come to a head at the mating ball.Damian's gaze narrowed, his eyes piercing mine. "What's wrong, my love? You're stressed about something."I sighed, my shoulders sagging. "Damian, I'm worried about Anna's behaviour," I said, my voice low and concerned. HazalI passed by Adrian's room on an errand, and I overheard my name mentioned between Luna Ruby and Anna, making me feel like an outsider. The tension between them was overwhelming, and knowing I was partly the reason for their argument filled me with distress. If I had to choose sides, even without knowing the full story, I would always stand by Luna Ruby. She had always been kind and warm, treating everyone with respect, regardless of their rank, but Miss Anna, on the other hand, was harsh, cruel, and unforgiving.Returning to the kitchen, my thoughts wandered back to Adrian. His mother seemed to believe there was something special between us, but I wasn’t so sure. Adrian was kind and handsome, but he was an alpha, and I was just an omega. Could we ever really be compatible?I remembered the kiss we shared, absentmindedly placing my hand on my lips as I recalled the subtle sparks that had flown between us.What happens next? Before I could delve deeper into my thoughts, I felt a p

Adrian's Pov:"Adrian, where have you been all day?" my mother asked as I walked into the house with Hazel trailing awkwardly behind me. She was seated on the couch, her face lighting up with surprise when she saw me. She rose to her feet; her eyes then shifted to Hazel, and her surprise deepened."Oh, Hazel, hi there.""Mum, I’m not a child. I'm a twenty-year-old adult who can take care of himself," I hissed in irritation, feeling my earlier anger build up. But then I felt a soft hand touch mine and met Hazel's eyes. The rage within me died down instantly. My mother's gaze shifted to Hazel’s hand holding mine, and she raised an eyebrow. Hazel noticed my mom's gaze and blushed, quickly removing her hand from mine as if it had burned her."Luna, you asked me to take Alpha Adrian to the tailor shop, remember?" Adrian-I pushed away my disappointment in Anna and forced a fake smile as I descended the stairs. At the bottom, I spotted Hazel standing awkwardly, and my smile immediately turned genuine as I secretly admired her cuteness."Hey," I said, and she lifted her face, meeting my eyes."H-hey," she stammered, shifting from one foot to another. Together, we walked out of the house. I could feel my palms getting sweaty from the anticipation and nervousness about the upcoming mating ball, a significant event. The thought of Hazel assisting me with my suit fitting added to my nervousness for some reason."So, do you know much about suits?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood as we made our way to the tailor shop."A bit," she replied, her voice still a little shaky. "I’ve helped with fittings before.""Good to know," I said, offering her a reassuring smile. Adrian The next day, the sun was barely up when I headed to the training grounds with my friends. We were sparring, honing our skills, and pushing each other to our limits. In the midst of a particularly intense training session, our pack beta, Daniel, joined us and signalled for us to form our usual circle."Adrian, Jake, step forward. It’s time to test your fighting skills," Beta Daniel said. Jake shot me a smirk as we moved to the centre of the training grounds.Jake was always a bit of a jerk, constantly boasting about his strength and making snide remarks about how I was only in my position because I was the alpha’s son. His words often grated on my nerves, but as usual, I did my best to ignore him.I don't like boasting or displaying my full strength, regardless of my alpha lineage, because I possess inherent strength that surpasses everyone on the training ground, owing to the chief spirit judge residing within me. This spirit enables me to perform supernatural feats. I consci

Adrian;"Anna, wait!" I called out, jogging after her, hoping she would slow down and listen to me, but she didn’t. Instead, she quickened her pace, her shoulders tense with anger and frustration. This wasn't the first time I found myself running after her, especially after she had a heated conversation with my mother, and I knew it wouldn't be the last. For some unknown reason, she deeply loathed my mom, which made me uncomfortable since I cared about them both. What made everything more frustrating was that neither my parents nor Anna ever explained the reason behind her anger. Whenever I asked, they would all change the subject, which I found slightly annoying.Using my advanced werewolf speed, I quickly closed the distance between us, seeing the determination in her stride."Anna, please stop!" I called again, louder this time. She halted reluctantly when we reached the front of the house, aware that I would follow her even into her room, invading her privacy. She hated that. She
