The atmosphere was tense as the family gathered to discuss the upcoming wedding. Michael Rizzo, Isabella's father, beamed with pride as he showed off the new house he had bought for the couple in Paris. Brandon's eyes locked onto Isabella's, and for a moment, it seemed like nothing else mattered.

But then, Isabella's voice cut through the air, her words dripping with venom. "Do you think I'll go through with this marriage after knowing the truth about these two?" She spat, her eyes blazing with anger.

Isabella's eyes flashed with tears, but she stood tall, her voice steady. "I won't marry a man who cheats on me with my own sister," she declared, her words echoing through the room. "Brandon doesn't deserve me, and I refuse to marry him."

The room fell silent, with all eyes on Isabella. Olivia's face turned red with rage, and he slapped Isabella across the face. "You're selfish; you only care about yourself. You don't want to marry; you should have told us earlier. Don't give us a fake excuse and fake allegation to Brandon," he thundered.

The room erupted into chaos as Isabella's words hung in the air. Michael Rizzo's face turned purple with rage, but Isabella stood firm, her eyes blazing with determination.

"I don't care about the wedding, or the house, or any of it," Isabella continued, her voice rising. "I care about my self-respect, and I won't compromise that for anyone. Least of all, Brandon."

Mia looked on, her face etched with guilt. She knew she had played a part in Isabella's heartbreak, and the weight of her actions was crushing her.

"See, you've seen the handiwork of your dear daughter," she spat at Michael Rizzo. "You had so much faith in her, and look how she's insulted you!"

Michael Rizzo's face turned redder with rage, but Salvatore Moreno intervened, his voice calm and measured. "Maybe Isabella didn't agree to this marriage," he suggested. "Were you forcing her, Michael?"

Olivia's eyes flashed with anger. "Not at all!" she protested. "She said yes before. She's just an arrogant girl who doesn't care about her father's honor."

Mia's voice was barely audible as she protested, "Mom!"

But Brandon's voice rang out clear and strong. "Dad, I want to marry Mia," he declared, his eyes locked onto Mia's.

The room fell silent once more, with all eyes on Brandon and Mia. Michael Rizzo's face was a picture of shock and outrage, but Salvatore Moreno's expression was thoughtful.

"That's a good decision," he said finally, his voice measured. "Maybe this is for the best."

Isabella, however, was unmoved. "I'm glad you're all happy," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "But I'm done with all of this. I deserve better than a cheating fiancé and a family that doesn't care about my feelings." With that, she turned and walked away, leaving the stunned family members in her wake.

****

The days went by, and the drama and tension in the Rizzo household slowly began to dissipate. Brandon and Mia, despite the initial shock and outrage, had decided to go ahead and get married. They had realized that they couldn't deny their love for each other and that they were meant to be together.

The wedding was a small, intimate affair, with only close family and friends in attendance. Michael Rizzo, still reeling from the shock of Isabella's rejection, had grudgingly given his blessing for the marriage. Olivia, on the other hand, was over the moon with joy and had taken it upon herself to plan the entire wedding.

As for Isabella, she had made it clear that she wanted nothing to do with the wedding, or with her family for that matter. She had been deeply hurt by their actions and felt that they had betrayed her in the worst possible way.

So, on the day of the wedding, Isabella was nowhere to be found. She had packed her bags and left for Miami, Florida, determined to start a new life and leave the drama and heartache of her past behind.

She settled into her new home, a beautiful beachfront condo in Miami, and Isabella felt a sense of peace and freedom that she had never known before. She was finally alone, and finally free to do as she pleased.

She spent her days lounging on the beach, soaking up the sun and watching the waves roll in. She spent her nights exploring the city, trying new restaurants and bars, and making new friends.

As the weeks turned into months, Isabella began to feel like herself again. She was no longer the hurt and angry person she had been after the breakup with Brandon. She was strong, confident, and independent, and she knew that she was capable of achieving anything she set her mind to.

Back in New York, Brandon and Mia were settling into their new life together. They were happy, but they knew that they had hurt Isabella deeply and that they would have to live with the consequences of their actions for the rest of their lives.

As for Michael Rizzo, he was still trying to come to terms with the fact that his daughter had left him. He had never realized how much he had hurt her, and he didn't know how to make things right.

But for now, Isabella was happy in Miami, living her best life and leaving the drama of her past behind. She was finally free, and she knew that she would never go back to the way things were before.

Isabella stood in front of the mirror, her hands moving deftly as she finished getting ready for the party. She slipped into a stunning black evening gown, the silk fabric hugging her curves in all the right places. The dress was a masterpiece of design, with intricate beading and embroidery that caught the light as she moved. As she turned to examine herself from different angles, her long, brown hair cascaded down her back in loose waves, framing her heart-shaped face. Her bright blue eyes sparkled like sapphires in the dim light, and her lips curled into a soft, enigmatic smile. She looked...breathtaking.Just as she was finishing up her makeup, there was a soft knock at the door. Isabella's eyes flicked towards the sound, and she smiled as she saw Luca standing in the doorway.Isabella smiled warmly at Luca, her eyes sparkling with affection. "Uncle, you can go home if you want," she said, her voice gentle. "I know you don't like parties."Luca's expression turned skeptical, his e

Isabella slowly opened her eyes; she was met with an unfamiliar ceiling. She tried to sit up, but a wave of pain washed over her, forcing her back onto the pillow. Her head was spinning, and her hands felt heavy and restricted. She looked down to see that they were bandaged, along with her head.Panic began to set in as she scrambled to remember how she had ended up in this strange bedroom. The last thing she remembered was driving home from the party, and then... the chasing cars, the gun pointed at her, the crash. It all came flooding back, and Isabella's heart began to race.Just as she was starting to feel overwhelmed, a man appeared in the doorway. He was tall, with brown eyes that seemed to hold a deep warmth. He smiled as he approached her, his eyes crinkling at the corners."Who are you?" Isabella demanded, trying to keep her voice steady. "And how did I get here?"The man's smile faltered for a moment before he replied, "Relax; I'm Vincent Morano. Your car had an accident las

Isabella's eyes blazed with anger as she slammed her hand on the conference table. "Who is this new board member?" she thundered, her voice echoing off the walls. The room fell silent, with all eyes on Isabella. Mr. Carson, taken aback by her outburst, stuttered, "I-I was just about to explain, Isabella. Mr. Anderson has sold his shares to a new investor."Isabella's face twisted in a scowl. "What? Why wasn't I informed about this?" she shouted, her voice rising.Mr. Wallace, trying to intervene, said, "Isabella, please, let us explain—"But Isabella cut him off, her anger boiling over. "No, I want to know who this new investor is, and I want to know now!" she bellowed, her eyes flashing with fury. The door to the conference room burst open, and Vincent Morano strode in, his eyes locking onto Isabella's. Isabella drummed her fingers impatiently on the steering wheel as she sat stuck in traffic. Her eyes scanned the crowded sidewalk, her gaze drifting over the sea of faces. And then, suddenly, she saw her."Mia?" Isabella's voice was barely above a whisper, her eyes fixed on the familiar figure.Mia was walking down the sidewalk, her hand cradling her four-month pregnant belly. She looked pale and tired, her eyes sunken and her skin sallow.Isabella's heart went out to her, despite the anger and resentment she still felt towards her sister. She quickly pulled over to the side of the road and jumped out of the car, weaving through the crowds to reach Mia."Mia!!" Isabella called out, her voice rising above the din of the traffic.Mia turned, her eyes locking onto Isabella's. "It's not what you're thinking," she said, her voice firm. "I don't want that man to think he's got a chance with me forever. I'm not interested."Luca's eyes narrowed, his expression skeptical. I don't want to end up like that."Luca's expression softened; his eyes filled with understanding. "Not everyone is the same, Isabella," he said, his voice low and soothing.Isabella's expression turned stubborn. "Stop lecturing, Uncle," she said, her voice firm. "Luca, can I ask you something?" He said, his voice low and serious.Luca nodded, his eyes locked on Vincent's. "Of course," he said. "What is it?"Vincent leaned forward, his elbows on the bar. "Why are you so loyal and caring towards Isabella?" he asked, his eyes searching Luca's face for answers.Luca's expression softened, and he looked away for a moment, collecting his thoughts. When he turned back to Vincent, his eyes were filled with a deep sadness."I was Isabella's mother's bodyguard," Luca said, his voice low and gravelly. "I was sworn to protect her and her family. When her mother passed away, she asked me to promise to take care of Isabella, to keep her safe from harm."Luca's eyes clouded over, and he paused, collecting himself before continuing."Isabella's mother knew that her stepmother would not treat Isabella kindly. She knew that she would be in danger, and she begged me to protect her. I promised her that I would, and I've kept that promise all these years."Vincen

The room was transformed into a colorful and festive atmosphere, with balloons, streamers, and a giant "Welcome Home Luca" banner hanging above the food table.Isabella's eyes widened in surprise as she took in the scene before her. She had expected a simple welcome party, but what she saw was a full-blown celebration. Vincent's men, burly and intimidating, were busy blowing up balloons and arranging them into intricate arches. The maids were scurrying around, putting the finishing touches on the food and drinks. But what caught Isabella's attention was Zyne, who was standing in the center of the room, directing the proceedings with the confidence of a seasoned leader. Despite being only 7 years old, he was barking orders and instructions to the adults around him, who were surprisingly obedient to his commands."More balloons over here!" Zyne shouted, pointing

Vincent walked into Luca's hospital room, his eyes scanning the space until they landed on Isabella. Her smile disappeared instantly, replaced by a wary expression.Vincent's eyes lingered on Isabella for a moment before he turned to Luca. "How are you doing, Luca?" he asked, his voice low and concerned.Luca smiled weakly. "I'm doing okay, Vincent. Just a little tired."Vincent nodded, his eyes flicking to Isabella again. "Isabella, I wanted to talk to you," he said, his voice hesitant. "I know I've hurt you, and I'm sorry. I won't bother you again. I'm leaving."Isabella's expression didn't change, but Vincent could see the pain and wariness in her eyes. He took a step forward, his arms opening. "Can I just hug my son?" he asked, his voice cracking with emotion.Isabella nodded curtly, and Vincent walked over to Zyne. He hugged his son tightly, his eyes closing as he breathed in the little boy's scent. After a moment, Vincent released Zyne and turned to Isabella. "Goodbye," he said,

  • The Betrayal   Chapter 46

Isabella's words hung in the air like a challenge, a stark reminder of the pain and betrayal she had endured. "I know," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I know you think you love me, but I'll never be able to trust anyone again."Vincent's eyes searched hers, desperate for a glimmer of hope, but Isabella's expression was resolute. "My whole life, I've been betrayed by those I loved," she continued, her voice cracking with emotion. "And now, I've found happiness with my son. My small world is full of joy, and there's no place for outsiders."He knew he didn't deserve her forgiveness, not after what he'd done. But he had hoped, foolishly perhaps, that she might find it in her heart to give him another chance. But Isabella was resolute. She turned and walked away, leaving Vincent standing alone, his heart heavy with sorrow. He knew how painful it was to love someone and have them leave. He had experienced it before, and now he was reliving it all over again. As he watched Isa

Vincent's face twisted in anger. "You lied to me and turned me against Isabella," he spat. "You conspired for her death, while all the fault was yours. If you do anything to my love and my son, I'll give you a painful death."Brandon laughed, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Shoot him," he ordered his men, his voice dripping with malice.Brandon's face turned red with rage as he screamed at his men, "Shoot this fucking' bastard!" But to his shock, none of them moved. They just stood there, their eyes fixed on Vincent with a mixture of fear and admiration.Vincent smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "You think I'm a mafia king just like that, and it's so easy to kill me?" he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "All your men are mine. Well, it wasn't that difficult. Their family members are in my custody at this time, so these people will do what I tell them."Brandon's eyes widened in shock and rage. "She died because of you."Isabella's face contorted in a mixture of grief and fear. "Look what happened," she whispered, her voice trembling. "I'm sorry, but my son is innocent. Leave him please, he's only 7 years old."Brandon's face twisted in a snarl. "My baby wasn't even born when he died!" he shouted, his voice echoing off the walls.Isabella took a step back, her eyes wide with fear. "He was a victim of your hatred and revenge," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.Brandon's eyes flashed with anger, and he lunged at Isabella, grabbing her hair and pulling her towards him. "You deserve the same pain I've been through," he hissed, his breath hot against her ear.Isabella's eyes went wide with terror as Brandon's words sent a chill down her spine. Isabella's heart pounded in her chest as she stepped into the grand mansion, her eyes scanning the opulent decor with a mixture of fear and determination. She had come for one reason: to rescue her son, Zyne.As she walked through the foyer, she noticed the guards stationed in front of the door, their eyes fixed on her with a curious expression. But to her surprise, none of them moved to stop her. It was as if they had been instructed to let her pass.Isabella's instincts screamed at her to be cautious, but she pressed on, her feet carrying her deeper into the mansion. She turned a corner and entered a lavish living room, where Brandon stood waiting for her."Ah, you're finally here, Isabella," Brandon said, his voice dripping with malice. Isabella's voice trembled as she recounted the events that had led to Zyne's disappearance. "We went for lunch; I was in the washroom, and some guards were with him. When I came back, my guards were injured; they had bullet injuries, and my son was missing."Her words trailed off as she burst into tears, her body shaking with sobs. Vincent's expression turned deathly serious, his eyes narrowing into slits."I didn't kidnap our son, Isabella," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "I can't do that. I want you both back."Isabella's tears slowed as she looked up at Vincent, her eyes searching for any sign of deception. But all she saw was a fierce determination, a burning anger that seemed to radiate from every pore."I promise you, whoever kidnapped our son will pay dearly," Vincent continued, his voice dripping with venom. "I will give him a very painful death. I promise you."With that, Vincent turned and strode out of the room, leaving Isabella staring after him in shock. She felt

  • The Betrayal   Chapter 41

Vincent sat in his office, his eyes fixed on some point in front of him, his mind lost in thought. He was a man consumed by his own emotions, torn apart by the conflicting desires that warred within him. What he felt for Isabella was love, pure and simple. He wanted her back, wanted a normal life with his family, where Isabella was his wife and Zyne was their son. He wanted to wake up every morning with Isabella by his side, to fall asleep every night with her in his arms. But how could he make that happen? How could he undo the damage he had done, repair the hurt he had caused? As he sat there, lost in thought, a noise outside his cabin broke the silence. Vincent's head jerked up, his eyes narrowing as he listened. And then he heard it, a familiar voice, one that made his heart skip a beat."Where is your boss?" the voice demanded. "I have to meet him now."Vincent's eyes widened in surprise as the cabin door burst open and Isabella strode in, her eyes blazing with anger."Where is h
