Author’s POV
Even though Tobias had engaged in a lot of reckless behavior, he was not as young as Lily. He had had fun with different women multiple times before, so a female kissing him should not have shocked him in any way. But he was fully immersed in the moment, experiencing total intensity. As he kissed her, his soul could not help but beg for more. It felt like her lips were becoming more tantalizing with each passing second. He continued to suck on and nip at her lips with all he had in him. He had waited for this moment ever since he had watched her grow up; he had always wanted her in his arms, naked.
He did not care whether the water was cold or whether she might be uncomfortable. His wolf had taken over—or should he say, they both had. Their wolves were eager to devour each other. They continued kissing for nearly ten minutes, only separating when Lily finally grew tired. But that did not mean Tobias would let go. Neither did it mean that Lily was satisfied, as she slowly ran her hands down his chest and toward his manhood.
When she touched him for the first time, it sent Tobias through the roof. But that was when it dawned on him: he was nearly in the process of having sex with the Alpha's daughter. He had to stop her immediately as he flung her hand away from where she had just touched him.
“Let’s not get that naughty,” he said to her, but she just giggled and cupped both his cheeks, kissing him continuously and passionately. He stopped her again.
“Come out of the water, and let’s leave,” he said to her. He swam out of the stream, only to turn around and see her frowning.
“What exactly are you still keeping away? What else are you hiding? We’ve already done it. Let’s just conclude it. Besides, I am not scared of having sex with you,” she said to him. He laughed and looked around to ensure that nobody had heard them. If anyone were to hear about such an abomination, he could lose his life, or worse, be banished.
He quickly rushed closer to the stream and whispered, “Do you really want us to continue this? If you want us to even have a chance to hold each other, then get out of that stream and let’s leave. Because if anything goes wrong, I could be banished, and I don’t plan on losing my job just because of a little sexual arousal I felt for you a few minutes ago,” he said to her.
As it made Lily sad, she slowly came out of the water. Despite Tobias staring at her, she still displayed her full nakedness, smirking at him. She knew he was still interested and was only holding himself back. As she slowly put on her dress, Tobias became thirstier for her body. He soon lost control and walked toward her.
Just as she felt Tobias's breath behind her, she turned around quickly and grabbed him by the collar. They started round two, kissing each other roughly this time, unable to control themselves as Lily stood naked in front of him. He was able to touch everything as he kissed her nape and caressed her body. But he was only trying to fight against his wolf. It was his wolf in charge now, and he had no control.
He tried his best to stop himself, and he managed to push her away. “Stop this, Lily! Dress!” he yelled at her as she laughed before slowly picking up her gown.
“I am not the one you should be telling. You should be telling yourself. You are warning me, but you are the one coming for me,” she teased as she slowly zipped up her dress and walked toward him.
As they left the forest, Tobias could hardly believe what had just happened. He was more than sure he would not forget this incident for days to come. As he got close to the palace, he turned to Lily with a frown, moving closer to her so nobody else could hear their conversation.
“Whatever happened between us has to stay between us. Do not go around telling anybody,” he warned.
Lily laughed and pushed him away, walking a few inches away from him before turning around, her smile wider than before. “Who said I am a child or a fool? I know what I am doing. I am 20 years old, okay? I am not a kid anymore that you can run from. I am not telling anybody. I am not that foolish, and I don't plan on losing you either. I know what we have together is not ordinary, so stop pretending,” Lily said before walking into the palace, leaving Tobias stunned.
What was this supposed to mean? Did this mean she had known from the start that he loved her and that it was not just an ordinary crush? He felt frustrated because even he could not define what he felt for her. He did not know whether he should say it was his wolf or if he should actually call it love. It frustrated him.
As he walked into the palace compound, he saw the Alpha rushing down and hugging Lily tightly, kissing her everywhere. But just as he finished, he began to scold her while Tobias stood far away, waiting for them to finish. After scolding her, Lily rushed inside. But before she entered the main building, she turned around to Tobias one last time and blew kisses at him. Tobias tried his best to compose himself, making sure that nobody else saw what she had just done before she ran inside.
Just then, the Alpha casually walked toward Tobias, who was also walking toward him. As he bowed, the Alpha quickly stood him up before he even had a chance to bow.
“Don’t ever be overly respectful to me. I am so happy. I don’t know how else to thank you. I don’t know how else to show you my appreciation. I was so scared that I would never get to see my sister again. But I knew I had her in your hands, Tobias, so she would be safe. You promised me, and you kept your promise. Name whatever you want. I give you this. Think about it and let me know,” the Alpha said, tapping him gently on the shoulder before walking past him with a few guards and some council members.
As the Alpha walked away, Tobias couldn’t help but reminisce about everything that had happened and shake his head. Just then, the Alpha’s words rang in his head like a tone. If only the Alpha would allow him, he would have asked to have Lily instead of anything else in this world. But he knew that the Alpha would never give his sister to someone like him.
In short, if the Alpha heard that anything was going on between him and Lily, there would be a big problem, and he could be banished. He had witnessed the Alpha’s rage when it came to his sister and people trying to get close to her. Besides, he had to remember that Lily was already betrothed to someone, which meant he had no chances. Even if the Alpha liked him in a blink of an eye, he would never get Lily as his own. Because now, Lily Biron belonged to Derek of another park.
It made Tobias so sad that he could not even hold it in as he walked into the palace and toward his chambers. He entered his room and locked the door, feeling exhausted as he took off his shoes. He was still soaking wet from jumping into the stream with Lily as he walked toward his bed. That was when, in a corner, he noticed a figure. He immediately became alert as the person stepped out from the shadows.
It was Lily. Tobias could not believe it as he covered his mouth, stepping back. “What are you doing here, Lily?” he yelled at her.
Lily still did not reply as he moved closer and pulled her by her arm, sitting her down on the bed. “Why are you here? Why don’t you listen? You are just so stubborn,” he yelled at her as she laughed.
“I am not stubborn. I just missed you so much and had to come check on you,” she said to him as he ran his hand through his hair like a crazy person.
“Do you know the kind of problem you are trying to put me in? Yes, we had fun in the stream. But we can't do that in the palace. There are guards and maids everywhere. Anyone can whisper. Go!” he said to her.
But she laughed as she slowly brought out a letter from her pocket and handed it to him. He took it, looking at it in confusion. “What should I do with this?” he asked her.
“I don’t know. Read it, burn it, tear it, abandon it—anything you want. All I know is I brought it for you. Bye. It seems as though you are pushing me away despite the fact that I am trying my best to have you close to me. I know you want the same; you are only pretending,” she said to him before hissing and storming off, leaving him stunned.
He tried to chase after her, but just as they got outside his chambers, he was surprised to see the Alpha standing there with guards, gripping Lily. This was a huge problem.
Author’s POVIt turned out that when Lily had written that letter to Tobias, she raced in excitement toward Tobias's chambers. However, she had never been there before, so she did not know exactly where she was going. She called one of the maids to help her locate Tobias's room, but the maid noticed the letter with Lily. The seal was clearly one used between lovers, and to worsen the matter, the maid had huge feelings for Tobias and had always tried her best to get him to notice her. She watched as Lily raced away, clenching her hand into a fist angrily. “So, Lily is trying to pursue Tobias. She’s trying to tell him that she loves him,” the maid thought to herself before devising a plan to get Lily out of the way. The only idea that came to her was to report it to the Alpha. She raced quickly toward the Alpha's throne room. Even though she knew the Alpha might not listen to her or might even dismiss her, she still would not let anyone else have Tobias. She waited for a few minutes,
Author’s POVAfter Tobias received his warning from the Alpha, he decided to change his approach. He resolved to keep his distance from Lily and protect her from afar. That was the only way everything would work out perfectly for him. If he kept trying to get close to her, things would only continue to spiral out of control. He could not accept that. It had now been over three weeks since the incident with Lily, and they had not really seen each other except in the meeting room. From time to time, when he had to protect her from a distance, she also knew she had to keep her distance from him.Meanwhile, throughout those three weeks, Tobias made sure to restrain himself from the letter she had given him. He tried his best not to touch it whenever he saw it. Even though he missed Lily so much and longed for her touch, he knew he had to hold it in, or he would lose everything. He was not ready to sacrifice his position just for Lily. Until tonight. He decided to read the letter. After s
Author’s POVIf only Tobias had any idea of how obsessed Lily was with him and how she would not let him go easily. She was determined to do everything possible to get him to claim her. As she watched Tobias slowly walk away, she clenched her fists in anger. “I can't just let you go like that. You won't leave me to end up with Derek because, at the end of the day, even when Derek takes me away, I won't ever get to see you,” she muttered, standing up and walking away. If Tobias would not claim her, then she had no choice but to force him into doing it. She thought to herself before rushing to her chambers and waiting patiently for nightfall. Meanwhile, Tobias busied himself with the tasks assigned to him by the Alpha. He had to gather rugs and other supplies, which kept him occupied and helped him avoid thinking about Lily every moment. He was now so absorbed in his work that the Alpha smiled in appreciation, glad that nothing seemed to be going on between Lily and Tobias anymore. He
Author’s POVTobias and Lily had just finished their intimate encounter. As Tobias sat on the bed wearing only his shorts, Lily lay beside him, feeling as if she were on top of the world. She couldn’t help but giggle to herself, reveling in the fact that she had truly been with Tobias. It felt as if she could continue this forever. However, she sensed that Tobias was filled with regret. She stood up and began to put her nightdress and jacket back on. Tobias looked at her with a frown. “Why do I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen? Why did you have to force me into this?” he said, his voice tinged with concern.Lily laughed lightly. “I didn’t force you to do anything. This was mutual; we couldn’t keep away from each other. Were you really enjoying starving your wolf? Because I certainly wasn’t. That’s why I had no choice. Besides, I love you too much to stay away. I begged you to claim me, but you refused. So I decided to seal the bond with you. This way, no one else c
Author’s POV“If you won't leave my sister, after everything I warned you, you still claim to me that you pick Lily over everything. Fine. Leave this park for good. And don't ever return. Don't ever sneak in. And if anybody catches you, they will kill you instantly. Since you picked Lily over everything, I just want to remind you, Lily will still not be yours.” The Alpha said to Tobias, who did not even flinch. He knew that no matter what option he picked, the Alpha would not favor him again. He knew how the Alpha's reaction usually used to be. And he was already used to it. He knew how he punished people who went against him. And he was not surprised if it happened again. “I see you are being very stubborn and you don't want to listen to me. Fine. He is hereby sentenced to life banishment from this park,” the Alpha said again as the council member stood up. “Alpha, you can't just do that. You can't just make such decisions out of your own emotions. Think about others. Think about
Authors POVLily felt confused, "like she was totally mad." After watching Tobias "walk right away from her," she could not even get him back. It was soon time for dinner, and yet she could not even lift her spoon. "Not a place to even eat." She felt like she had become "so numb." The only thoughts she had in her mind were Tobias. She couldn't stop thinking about him as she felt a bit scared and worried." What if he was in a difficult situation? What if he could not cope where he is? "And what if he gets to be harmed where he is?" She could not help but think it would be "very dangerous." She knew for sure that everything would be dangerous for him. But she just had to pray.As she sat down at the dining table while her brother happily had his meal, she couldn't help but "sigh continuously". Meanwhile, Derek, the Alpha, already knew why she was doing all that and could not help but ease, "No matter what you do, he is gone. He made his own decisions. I gave him a chance. I gave him an
Tobias did not take it as anything and just decided to move on. After all, "he would definitely get Lily back." But even though it would take a while, he was ready to "risk it all at once." He did not care how it was going to happen, but he was going to get her back. He decided to move into the house, renovate it, which took him "not even up to 10 hours to do everything." By midnight he was all done and exhausted as he sat down, feeling so tired. He looked around and felt happy for himself. At least he was not thrown into the bush or somewhere even much worse. And it seemed to be that he was banished into another city, which was kind of amazing. He would easily be able to walk himself back to the city and get back the woman he loves, he thought to himself. Just then, he could not help but have flashbacks of Lily. And that alone was more than enough motivation for him because he felt so happy. "At least Lily would be there for him whenever he comes back." She would wait for him, he th
As the ceremony continued happily, everyone could not help but be chit-chatting around. Meanwhile, Lily concentrated on Derek's sister. "So what is your name?" Lily began. "Oh, my name is Beatrice," she muttered as Lily could not help but smile before shaking her hand. "It is a good thing to finally meet Derek's sister. Do you know how happy I am that we are getting to bond? I heard we are of the same age." Lily guessed as Beatrice could not help but be wowed before hugging her. "Yes, it is very much true. We are of the same age. I was so eager to meet you and tell you everything about us," the girl said. Lily liked the fact that she was a very cheerful person and clearly someone who was ready to say as much as possible. It made her even happier because she knew she would get as much information as she wanted. She just needed a little thought, a little defect that would make her very much aware of the fact that Derek has a secret, and maybe she could use that to leave him for goo
Author's POVOn the verge of giving his judgment on Derek's case, the elders immediately stopped Tobias and said, “You can't judge his case. You have to be crowned as the king first before you judge the case.” And Tobias immediately agreed with them and said, “Okay, I'll judge this case after my coronation.”“So have you picked the dates for the coronation?” he asked the council members, but they replied, “We can't coronate you without you having a Luna yet. We don't want you to be a cause of trouble like them,” the council members said to Tobias. Tobias immediately stood up and walked straight to Lily. He held her hand and said, “She will be my Luna.” The council members looked at each other in surprise and said, “How far? She can't be your mate.”Tobias was shocked and asked, “Why? Why can't she be my mate?” Cassie stood up immediately and said, “Because you have a mate already. I'm your first mate, and as long as I'm alive and I'm not dead, Lily can't be your mate. I am your first
Author's POVSitting on the throne was Tobias, as his face displayed a mix of emotions. The elder members were discussing how to crown Tobias as the new king of the pack. But Tobias said to them, “You don't necessarily have to crown me as the king. Derek can also be the king, and besides he has been the one there since all these years. I don't really know about the affairs of being a king in a pack.” He said to the elders but the elders did not agree to what he said. “No. Derek has been acting crazy these past few months. He has been acting mad on the throne. The power given to him has been misused. He has not been serving the people well,” the elder member said. “We were even planning to dethrone him not quite long before you showed up, Tobias,” they added. Tobias looked at them in shock and was surprised that the council members were planning to dethrone Derek. It was shocking as to why they would do that. They explained that he was acting paranoid and crazy. Derek was shocked tha
Author's POVOut of happiness, Cassie hugged him tighter than before. And before she knew it, Tobias pushed her away. But Lily did not see Tobias pushing her away. Cassie was shocked as to why Tobias would push her away. But she composed herself. She didn't want others to notice that she was pushed away by Tobias. Lily started walking. “I’m going to Tobias. I want to go to him like I missed. I have missed him. Now to go and hug him very tight and never let go,” she said to Alpha Derek. But Alpha Derek was shocked and said, “How could you, Lily? I thought we saved our relationship already. Do you want to betray me? Do you want to betray me with Tobias just like you did with Darius? Isn’t it enough? I thought you said our relationship was important. I thought you loved me now. I thought you promised me that you would love only me and nobody else.” He said to Lily, but Lily was not buying any of it. “No, Alpha Derek, I was sold to you. You forced me to love you. You forced me to be in
Author's POV“You are welcome, Tobias. We've been expecting you. Okay, I'll be back shortly. I need to sort some things out inside.” Alpha Derek stormed inside the house angrily and went into his room immediately. He took his phone and dialed Alpha Ethan's number right away. He dialed Alpha Ethan's number, and he picked up the call after two rings.“Alpha Ethan!” “What? How dare you? You told me Tobias was dead. You told me you punished him to a place of no return. You told me that there was no way he's going to survive there? Where you punished him to. How come he's alive? How come he's standing before me? You confirmed he was dead to me. You…. You confirmed that there is no way he's going to come back to life. You said there was no way he's going to come out of that place alive. How come he's alive? Standing ill and healthy right here in front of me? What did you do? You said he was not going to come back alive. Now how come he's alive and healthy? He did not just come back alive.
Author's POVAlpha Derek was sitting on his throne inside the throne room and he was very perplexed. He was wondering, ‘Who could these people be? Who could this wealthy billionaire be that came into my park without me knowing? How could they come into this park without my knowledge?’” He wondered. He immediately called his Beta and said, “Get me Lily right now. I want her by my side when I'm receiving these visitors,” he said to them. He said to his Beta, but he told him, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Alpha, but Lily is not. Lily is not around right now. She's not in the palace.” He said to him, and Alpha Derek stood up in anger. “What? What do you mean Lily is not in the palace? Where could she have gone? Why didn't she tell me where she was going?” Alpha Derek shouted in anger, but his Beta told him that he didn’t know where Lily went, but she was not in the palace right now. Alpha Derek started pacing up and down inside his throne room and he was wondering, ‘Where could Lily be?’ He
Author's POV“Why the hell are you? Why the hell do you care about me now? I thought you were acting indifferent before. I thought you didn’t like me and you didn’t want me to be your mate. Why now? Why do you have to claim me now?” Tobias shouted at Cassie, frustration evident in his tone.Cassie immediately interrupted him. “I did not leave you! It was because we weren’t in our pack back then. Now that we are back here, in the palace, I have to claim you now, and I can’t leave you for Lily. You can never be with Lily Blackthorn,” she insisted.Tobias, visibly angry, looked at her with annoyance. “You don’t have to claim me. I can never love you. I can only love Lily and Lily alone. Lily is the one I love, not you. Even if you try to claim me, I am not going to fall in love with you,” he muttered angrily.Cassie was equally annoyed. She stood up in frustration and declared, “Whatever you do, Tobias, you will never leave me alone. I am your true mate, and there is nothing you can do a
Author's POV“Are you sure that you are ready to do this?” Catherine asked Tobias, and Tobias looked in that direction.“Yes, I’m very ready to do this, and I’m sure of what I’m doing right now,” he replied.Catherine looked in Cassie's direction and saw her putting on headphones. She turned back to Tobias and said, “You don’t have to worry about her. I know that very soon she’s going to come around, and she’s going to like you just like she liked you before.”Tobias responded, “I don’t really care about her. It doesn’t really matter if she comes around. I like Lily. As long as I have Lily there waiting for me, I am fine. I am okay with Lily alone. I don’t really care if she comes around and likes me again. Sincerely, I don’t want her to like me because I already like Lily, and I would like only Lily as my mate.”Meanwhile, Cassie was not really listening to her headphones. She thought to herself, ‘I don’t really have to say anything or act like I heard what they are saying. I have a
Maya’s POVI decided that even though I had already gotten to realize Darius's actual plan, I would still try my best to divert it and make him quit his plan. So I thought of the perfect words to use, and it finally came to me."Why do you want to kidnap her when you know that she still shares a very strong mate-bond with Alpha Derek? Her inner wolf can easily connect to him and tell him exactly where she is or where she thinks she is, or he could actually even sniff her out. It might take a while, but he would definitely find her. That's just the thing about meatballs that you know nothing about," I said to him as he laughed and began to knock his hand on the wheel like he was being frustrated and thinking of a way out. He turned to me swiftly and smacked at me before looking away."Who said I did not prepare for this? I have already prepared for all this in advance. I knew that something like this might cause a problem and he would be able to find out, but I am going to stop it, an
Maya’s POVI stood beside the door, eavesdropping on everything Luna Nora, and Alpha Darius were talking about. I was in total shock. Darius had gotten to the very edge, and I knew that he was going to start pouring all his punishment on everybody as quickly as possible. I didn't even think Lily would be able to last as long as I predicted. She might not even reach that extent. From the way I was seeing everything, it was just going to get worse and worse. I covered my mouth because it felt like I was about to scream in utter shock. So I made sure to stay hidden so that even if a maid or any guard passed, they would not easily notice me. And luckily for me, her door was inside in a way that it still had boulders blocking it so that anybody who passed would not easily notice someone was actually standing there. That was just one thing I was gaining from as I stood there listening to everything. After I had heard everything and was about to leave, I suddenly heard her telling Darius to
